This is destroying me.

Yes it's cute but the implications of this make me want to tear Studio Bones apart with my teeth.

They've been using baby Izuku and Tenko in the OPs/EDs for a while to represent Izuku's desire to save that crying little boy at the core of who Tomura is. That makes sense. My problem isn't that tiny Izuku is running to Tomura in this scene but that HE STOPS.

It's not of his own desire to stop. He wants to keep going but he runs out of breath. His childlike unshakable optimism gets him a long way but not far enough to actually save Tomura the way he wanted.

Because YES, this is Tomura's death scene.

The only time we see Tomura look like this at this point in the series is his last conversation with Izuku as he dies and this is showing us outright that while Izuku is going to put absolutely everything into trying to save him, he is going to fall short.

He is going to run out of breath.

Oh my fucking gods the Bakugo apology scene still hits hard even the second time. I read it first, in the manga before the anime had released its 6th season...fucking hell

All that Izuku has been through, all that Bakugo had to stomach, all his class went through to stop him. All Might...caring for Izuku like a dad.

It so much my brain can't handle it. From a viewer and creators' perspective what Horikoshi has done to create this story and these characters is incredible. I am in awe of his work

Seeing Bakugo's character development over the seasons has been amazing and I can't get over it, it's what I love about this show is that nothing is unintentional. Ever scene, every voice line, everything has meant something to bring it all together in the final seasons. I cannot wait to see where this goes, and honestly I never really thought I'd think about MHA again after I moved on a few years ago.

But I guess Dabi was right, the past never dies. And here I am once again, over analyzing a show that I held near and dear to my heart for so long.

This show is still important to me, and I hadn't even realised. I can't wait to see where this goes

I find it kind of funny people still don’t think All for One had a tragic backstory cause, well, he did.

I get it, though. People believe that if a character has a tragic backstory, you’re supposed to feel sympathy for THE character or that the backstory excuses that character’s actions.

It doesn’t.

All for One’s backstory IS tragic because of what All for One COULD have been.

That’s the point. Even Yoichi states it.

AFO had the greatest Quirk of all time. He could have done so much good with it, but that didn’t happen.

This was because of multiple factors:

-Born with only each other in the gutter.

-Quirk activated in the womb. His urges already manifested. The “arrogance” and believing “everything belonged to him”.

-No parental figures at all

-A tumultuous time when society was collapsing

-Hunted and looked down upon as less than human if anyone looked at them at all.

-Living in the slums

-Having to scrap, steal, and kill to survive. To eat.

-Having the first escape from all this terribleness be ratty comic books

-Having no goal, no purpose, until the comic books. Until Yoichi decided on his.

-Comic books set in a world of black & white morality. Confusing them into believing this is reality.

There’s more, but this is a quick list.

ALL of that is why All for One ended up the way he is.

Others state in the epilogue that the state of society after the war is like it was when Quirks first manifested. That it’s the same kind of world that CREATED All for One.

Yoichi says he couldn’t steer his brother down the right path, but that alone means there WERE paths.

But everything was set up perfectly to create a monster.

It IS tragic. Tragic because of what could have been.

I have come up with a better metaphor than “you can’t pour from an empty cup” for burnout. You can’t boil an empty kettle. Pouring from an empty cup just gets you nowhere. Trying to boil an empty kettle can ruin the kettle, the stove, and burn down your house if you keep trying it.
