If this happens to me and my stories in the future I'd personally feel kind of violated. I want this fictional world I shaped to be the best it can be, which is something that takes TIME AND EFFORT, and then somebody comes along and shows how much they don't care about the work that went into the project by butchering it and stealing the scraps that remain.

Writing fanfic for other fanfics is OKAY so long as you ask permission and are respectful of the material. But this nonsense? NO. It should not be done. It should not be tolerated.

Oh god, I know the feeling. I'm going through a similar thing; a family member is suffering and their attempts to cope through the day are hurting the rest of us more and more, but they STILL haven't gotten professional help because THEY ARE SO DAMN STUBBORN!
