"Sweetheart, sweetheart, hold my heart, its too soft for my own hands."

|βββββββββββ βΈβΈ βββββββββββ|
It was a warm day for you and Taylor. You had planned to have a small picnic date at the park just the morning before. It wasn't too sunny, and it wasn't too cloudy to say that it was going to rain.
Her blonde hair was soaking in the sun, the tips and edges of her strands being a light pink that framed her face perfectly. You couldn't help but stare at her, smiling softly, while she was focused on the flower in her lap.
The two of you had agreed on making flower crowns for each other when you both walked into the park, your eyes having caught the many daisies growing from the green grass. You were holding one in your hand, but you had barely moved to put them together.
"I can see you staring, sweetheart." She whispers out, the words exhaling with her breath. Her eyes flick up, and she smiles, while her hands still move to carefully braid the flower in her lap, intertwining the stems with another one carefully. Hers were white daisies, and yours were yellow daisies.
You blushed and looked away, as if you don't always stare at her in love and admiration all the time anyway. Much more even, your relationship has already lasted for over a year now too.
She looks up to see that you had continued your focus on the flowers in your own hand entirely, your face flushed deeply. "Aw, don't be shy, I was just saying..." she giggles softly, pausing her craft to lean forward, giving you a kiss on your cheek.
Her lips linger on your skin for a moment longer, and as she pulled away, she was about to return to her crown-making, but the way you still felt the ghost of her warmth made you want another kiss. So, your hand cups one of her cheeks to bring her forward once more, getting a proper kiss on the lips.
She blinks, surprised at your actions, but the love and softness that came up in her heart was evident in her eyes. She gives you another soft peck before leaning back again.
You smile back at her, deciding to scoot a little closer to her side as you both continue working on your flower crowns. The wind gently breezes by, going through your hairs as you lean your head against her shoulder.
Feeling you next to her, her gaze softens. She turns her head to look at you once more, nuzzling into the top of your head lightly with a small kiss before she continues once more.
Some gentle humming eventually comes from Taylor, one being familiar to be known as one of her own songs. You listened on, but you recognize almost instantly what it was; Daylight.
Any parts of your body that was tense only relax further, your fingers carefully twisting the stems around each other and hoping the flower crown you were making won't fall apart in your hands.
The sound of everything in the park only made it all the more peaceful. There were birds chirping in the background, the lake had ducks and swans that was ruffling their feathers, and dogs were playing with their owners. Barks and laughter echo from somewhere faraway in the park.
A couple leaves were falling down here and there from its age of staying attached to its trees, some landing near your picnic. The pile of daisies you gathered was getting smaller and smaller as time goes on.
Taylor was close to finishing, but you had more progress than her, so, soon you took another close look at it before connecting it fully, inspecting it to see that it was done properly. You then lean back and turn to her, putting the flower crown on her head. It fitted perfectly on her, brightening her appearance.
Feeling something being placed atop her, she looks up, her hand reaching up to feel what it was, only to realize you had finished, and her fingers were brushing over soft petals.
You smile at her, gazing adoringly, not just at the crown you made for her, but on the features of her face too, tracing every outline with your eyes.
"You look so pretty," you whispered, reaching out to tuck a stray hair behind her ear. She focused back on finally connecting up her flower crown, finishing it for you, but hearing your whisper beside her and feeling your touch had a pinkish hue come over her cheeks.
"Why, thank you," she replied, looking to you and placing the crown she made onto your head, and the teethy smile that broke upon your face had her heart bursting with love.
She leans back to admire her work, turning the flower crown on your head slightly. Her lips curl up, and she takes your hand into hers, giving a squeeze as she leans in slowly.
Taylor hears you letting out the smallest giggle. You don't quite know why you did, maybe it was the way she squeezed your hand that tickled...maybe it was the fact that she thought to have the crown on you on a perfect angle, or it was from how she gazed at you, but Taylor found it adorable.
You met her halfway as you lean into her, closing the small gap between you for a soft, tender kiss. She smiles wider, letting go of your hands to wraps her arms around your shoulders. Her head tilted to deepen the kiss, although making sure her flower crown doesn't fall.
Once you've parted from the kiss, you bury your face into the crook of her neck, returning her embrace. She shifts her position slightly, feeling more comfortable once she rested her cheek on your head.
"...Did you know flowers had a language?" she whispers. The sound of her voice only reached the vicinity of your ears as her hands brushes through your hair.
You stay there for a moment, then lean back, moving to rest against her chest as you gaze up at her. "Language? Like what?" you ask, getting curious.
She smiles down at you. "Well...yellow tulips, means happiness, and in the old ages, victorians would think it meant...'there's sunshine, in your smile'," she says, her hand trailing off to trace your lips with her thumb, cupping your cheek in the meanwhile. Your eyebrows furrow at how specific she was being, and you look into her eyes.
"Where did you get this from?" You ask. You were questioning her info, although it was sweet, the suddenness of it was questionable.
Her adorable smile widened much more in expression with her ears. She moved something to her back, and in the corner of your vision, you had just barely seen it.
"I have my secrets," she says, withholding the information from you with a playful tone in her voice. You raise an eyebrow at her.
"No, don't hide it from me, I can see the book." Your smile only grew at her suspecting behaviour, while her eyes widened at your true sentence, and she quickly moves the book even further to her back.
"You're seeing things! There's nothing!" she shook her head, a giggle starting out. She leans back as you try to see it, but she reaches out to your shoulder, gently keeping you in place from seeing it.
"Yes, there is something!" You retaliated back in a playful manner, gently pushing her hand off to move to the book, only for her to stop you again by placing a hand at your chest.
"No!" She says out softly. The both of you held challenging looks as if you were almost in a staring contest, not breaking eye contact at all, but then you had an idea pop into your head.
You only stayed quiet for a moment, before speaking slowly, "Well, then, this calls...for...a...TICKLE ATTACK!!" Her eyes widen when you went forward to tickle her all over, but she bursts out laughing, falling backwards with you and onto the green grass, her feet kicking behind you in her giggling. Both your flower crown and hers had gone down to the ground, but they were still perfectly intact-- thankfully, neither of you had tumbled your back down to them.
You giggled with joy, both your bodies wracking with the bright laughter, and Taylor almost couldn't speak in the midst of it. "Okay, okay! Here!!" She eventually gives in, reaching behind her back, where she had fallen atop the book. Her back somehow didn't ache in any pain from the hardcover, but she pulls it out from behind.
You subside in your tickling, giving her mercy, and smiling widely in pride that you had won. Both of your laughter had faded into breaths that both of you try to get back, although completely in happiness as she saw you looking to the book. You read the text and saw the obvious image on the cover. It was a book dictionary about flowers.
You then move off of her and grab it, letting her catch her breath against the grass as you opened the book. Inside, there were pages upon pages of flowers and their small little facts, along with their meanings.
Taylor had sat up eventually, a small giggle escaping her of the situation you had made her fall into (and quite literally) just to grab the book, but she goes back to your side, leaning on her hands and peeking at what you were looking at.
"Daisies...'White Daisy petals symbolize innocence and are commonly associated with childhood memories of collecting wildflower bouquets.'" You say, repeating the words that was written down for the flower's description, letting out a small hum at the info.
Your eyes continued to travel to the other page that was already open just beside the one you had read, and you now saw the colored variants. "New beginnings...ooh, pink daisies."
Taylor smiles softly, her arms wrapping around your waist as she pulls you closer, seeing and hearing the absolute interest you had on it all.
"Yellow means joy, pink means gentleness and love, blue means loyalty and trust...and orange means friendship and warmth." You say, your lips raising up before you looked at her.
"I'd give you pink daisies any day," you say, turning to look at her. You then notice the missing flower crown on her head. Upon tilting your head to look to the spot where you tickled her earlier, you see it on the grass along with yours, and you grab them, putting hers back on her head, adding your flower crown on her head too instead of placing it on your own head.
She smiled gratefully at you, although she saw your silly gesture. Taylor lets out a small laugh and reaches up, grabbing your white flower crown off her head to return to yours. Her blue eyes were filled with love as she plants a kiss on your cheek. She then looks at the book once more, reading the words of the description as you did, but not saying the words out loud.
"It also means platonic love though, sweetheart," she points out, resting her head against the side of your shoulder lightly. You chuckle, knowing she was right, but the shade of pink the flower had was capturing your heart.
"It is pretty though, isn't it?" You say, glancing at her, then turning the page of the book, starting to see sunflowers, and many other flowers. You read most of the descriptions of each page, some being similar.
"Is it just me or do too many yellow flowers mean happiness sometimes?" You murmur thoughtfully, noticing that each of them always meant joy, and it felt odd. Taylor hums softly, her gaze wandering off slightly as her mind processes your question.
"Well, there can never be too many. Yellow does represent happiness..." she says, tilting her head as she spoke, and you nod, understanding her observation.
"I guess you're right." You look through the book a few bit more, lingering on some parts, such as your favorite flowers and hers that you remember well, then stumbling across something that caught your attention.
"Oh look, yellow chrysanthemums...it means a slighted and scorned love. 'A heart left to desolation'." You point to where it was so she could find it, and her eyes soften slightly.
"Mm. I'll remember to avoid that when I go to a flower shop." You say, shrugging at it lightly and taking a look at everything else. Taylor chuckles, looking up at you since she was slowly sliding down against your shoulder from her relaxation.
"Don't take it seriously, baby," she says, smiling widely at your determination to get 'the flower languge' right, but then you turned to look at her.
"But I will," you say with honesty, smiling with love. Her heart was just about to melt, and disbelief filled her too at how soft and caring you could truly be.
"I'll give you all the positive flowers you need." You lean closer to her, brushing your nose against hers ever so slightly, and a giggle sounds out from her lips.
"You're such a flirt," she said, shaking her head, but going in to give you yet again, another kiss anyway, relishing the warmth of your lips against hers, something so warm and different that the sun couldn't ever give.
"I love it," she adds in, slowly leaning back and gazing at you with all the sweetness she had. You had a light pinkish hint growing on your face, and she couldn't help but reach out as she stands up more properly, cupping both your cheeks with her hands.
"You're gonna make me melt into a pool of puddle looking at me like that," you whisper, flushing deeper, even further at how she cradled your face carefully within her hands.
"You'd be a cute puddle." she replied, absolutely knowing what she was doing, and your heart skips a beat, but you softly pout, feeling the heat growing on your cheeks.
"Baby," you whine, setting the book down on the picnic blanket and turning to bury your face into her chest, making her smile even wider.
"Okay, okay." She stops her playful teasing, but lets out another giggle as she watched you hiding away into her, covering your flushed face.
Her hands go down, gently brushing and going through your hair as she gazed lovingly, leaning down to kiss your head and then gaze elsewhere, not wanting you to shy away again.
It stays like that for a couple minutes before you turn your face out from her chest, peeking, then slowly relaxing as you saw that she was spacing off into the wide range of the park.
You bit your lip, taking this moment to have you time to adore every aspect of her being. Your eyes travel away on its free will, going from her lips and down to her sharp jawline.
You then reach up, your hand finding her pink dyed strands of hair. "I like the way your hair looks right now..." you murmur quietly, feeling the softness of it.
She looks back down at you, coming out from her zoned out state and smiling softly, her own blush coming to cross her cheeks, almost matching the color of her pink ends.
"You like the pink?" she asks in confirmation, going to touch her own hair that was going down at the front of her shoulders, just beside the sides of her neck.
You nod, slightly curling the hair in between your fingers, playing with it a little and admiring the shine of it mixed with her blonde hair. "Mhm. Its cute."
"...Maybe I'll keep it like this a little longer then," she says with a tilt of her head, her mind thoughtful as she watched you continue to play with her hair, but your movement pauses when you registered her words.
"You were gonna cut it off?" you asked softly, your lips easily forming a pout as you got sad for her lovely appearance.
She nods, her own hands going through your hair. "It was only for the album, and my hair is getting longer, baby," she explains, keeping her voice soft. But your pout only deepened.
"Well, its cute..." you mumble, continuing your soothing motions on her strands. She smiles, her hand drifting down to rest on your back.
"Do you want me to redye it?" she asks. Your eyes went back up to hers, and you nod eagerly.
A giggle escapes her lips softly. "Okay, I will. Just for you," she whispers, nuzzling down to your nose, while your pout fades off into a smile.
