“My darling, you are far too much of a work

of art for a picture not to be taken.”

Adorable.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was yet another day full of work and exhaustion was all that filled the blonde's body as she drove back home from work.

She got out of the car and unlocked the front door of the house, only wanting to have you beside her, cuddles, and kisses, and every single other thing she could think of.

Though the house was quiet. Too quiet. The tv wasn't on, and you weren't in the living room or the kitchen. She didn't get a message from you of you going out or anything, so her head wandered a little.

And then, before Taylor could panic any more, she walks into the bedroom, not expecting to see you laid on the bed horizontally with your eyes closed, covering the space of both her side and yours, while her guitar was placed just a few inches below your legs.

You must've been practicing to learn the guitar, and got exhausted too, she thought. She adored how you were learning, and not only for her, or from her, but also because you got inspired by her music.

What was important was the way you were breathing. And your face, oh, your peacefulness in your face. It made her smile so lovingly at you. She couldn't find anyone else who she would be more in love with.

Before she got any closer or that you would somehow wake up, she pulls out her phone from her pocket and captures a quick picture of you. It was the perfect picture.

She wanted to just jump into bed already and cuddle you, with how fuzzy she's feeling from seeing how adorable you looked, but she needed to shower first. She was sweaty from all the rehearsing for her upcoming tour.

And so, she got her clothes ready on the bed and went to take a shower. When she got out, you were still thankfully asleep. But your position did change. You were more curled up into a ball this time, like a cat, which made her want to squeeze herself and you. But she didn't wanna wake you, so she quietly put on her clothes, and tip toed to bed. Gently laying down next to you, which she could do so now, since you were more curled up, letting more space on the bed loose.

She takes you in her arms and pulls you closer like a teddy bear without waking you up, but also making sure you're in a more comfortable position.

Nothing could be better than this feeling she has in her heart. But then you instinctively snuggled closer to her, your nose nuzzling on her skin near her neck, tickling her a little, but the feeling of her wanting to melt overcame it. Well. That was a better feeling.

She went to sleep with you that night with a precious memory.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

You were smiling as you looked through her gallery of pictures, full of Meredith, Olivia, Benjamin, and basically all the cats. Some pictures are of you and her, and to see them warms your heart.

Until you scrolled and perhaps accidentally found something you shouldn't have. Your eyebrows rose while Taylor blushed from behind you.

"Um, babe, you took a photo of me while I was sleeping?" You questioned softly, so as to not make her feel embarrassed. But her cheeks only turned red even more

"I couldn't help it. You're just too adorable." she giggled, now you're the one who thought she was adorable.

You playfully rolled your eyes, turning your head to look at her, and then went in to kiss her. She gratefully accepted it and kissed you back. Soon after, she pulls away and admires your face, just as she had the night before.

"I love you." The both of you smile at each other like two idiots in love.

"I love you, too."

“Because, you are the one who gives me safety.”

Restless.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

Something wasn't right. You felt sleepy, but you couldn't go to sleep at all.

The cold kept hitting your skin.

Whenever you tried closing your eyes, all you saw was pitch black. Obviously. But you couldn't help but feel frustrated about it.

Every time you heard a sound it urged you to open them once more. Or whenever you accidentally imagine something horrifying. You couldn't keep them closed for even 10 minutes just for your brain to turn off.

And most of all, your favorite person wasn't there.

You were sat cross-legged on the couch, using your hand to rest your head as the tv played a random show.

You would sit back and relax, but you felt as if you're being watched. You know you aren't from the many times you've looked around, and the cats are always there to alert you, but it's hard not to feel like so.

In reality, it was just anxiety being annoying as ever.

But you've been calm.

Maybe it was this, maybe it was that.

Then it hit you.

Maybe it was restlessness.

You sighed, as you did many times before, moving to lay your back on the couch as you tried to drift off for the fiftyth time. But for however long you kept them close, you ended with giving up and opening them once more.

You moved your arm onto your face, the crook of your bent arm resting on your nose to cover half your view of the ceiling. Closing your eyes once more, with little hope that you would fall asleep.

"Baby, I'm home!" A familiar voice calls out from the front door. But you thought maybe you drifted off to sleep and started dreaming already. You hoped so.

"Babe?" She asks in a more normal volume now, standing closer to the couch without you knowing. Taylor looks down and sees you, a small smile on her face as she makes her way to sit on the couch next to you.

She gently puts her hand on your arm, slowly moving it off your face. Your eyes slowly open and you blink away the lights and colors that blind you.

Wait. This is better than a dream. You finally realise she's actually there, with you. Her figure was blurred until you see that face you adore so much.

"You okay?" she asks with concern as she kneels down next to you.

You pout and shake your head. "I wanna sleep. But I can't."

"Aw, love." She tucks a strand hair from the front of your face to the back of your ear, then placed the hand on your cheek.

"Let's go to bed, yeah? And then we can cuddle and you'll fall asleep before you even know it." Her thumb rubs your cheek before she stands up, her hand falling away and she walks to the bedroom, expecting you to follow along, but she stops and turns around to see you with the pout still, looking at her in a way that she knows says you won't be getting up.

And so, she walks back and pulls your hand as you reached out to her, to pull you to a sitting position. When she gently tugged on your hand once more to make you stand up and walk, you sat still on the couch, dropping your head on her stomach. Her hand went around your body instinctively. She looked down at you with a sigh, but smiles lovingly at how clingy you get nonetheless.

"Okay, come on." Her hands drifted down to hook under your thighs and pick you up, and you quickly put your arms around her neck to have more support so you don't fall. Although you knew she would catch you anyway.

She lays a kiss on your cheek before walking upstairs to your bedroom, you resting your head in her neck.

She puts you down on the bed, and you layed down. You waited until she joins in to snuggle up to her and get into a similar position from earlier, which was your head in the crook of her head, and her arms around your body.

With the warmth radiating off of her, and just knowing she's there, with you, keeping you safe, it already made you feel sleepy. Finally.

You closed your eyes tiredly, and slowly, your breath went from normal, to soft.

She checks down on you, happy that you got to sleep, just as she said. Not long after, she goes to dreamland with you. Hoping that either of you are dreaming about the other, or about cats.

"No matter the time,

I will be here for you. Always."

In The Dead Of Night.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

And it was six in the morning, again.

In a free day.

You couldn't go to sleep even if you tried, and you wouldn't, because you don't wanna have that nightmare again. You've had it twice now, having woken up at four am earlier in the night, and another came to haunt you.

As you were curled up like a ball on your side, you turn your head around a bit to see a sleeping taylor. She was facing you fortunately. She looked so peaceful, you didn't wanna wake her.

And especially because she's been working so hard, these couple of days, she's barely gotten any rest. If it wasn't a free day, you knew she'd wake up in an hour. But it was, so you would have to wait longer for her to wake up.

And so, with biting the inside of your mouth, you slowly and almost quietly shuffled yourself closer to her. You went as close as you can, your bodies basically touching, and went to seek comfort by nuzzling your nose on her neck, leaving your head to rest between her shoulder and her neck.

Her head shifted a bit and her arms went up to hold you in an embrace. She was tickly, but she wasn't really a light sleeper. You supposed something alerted her brain to wake up. You. Her eyes open just barely, to see you in her arms.

She moved her lips closer to your head, to kiss the top of your head, before her voice came out huskily, but quietly. "You okay, baby?"

There was a beat of silence that came with her question. But it went on as you took the decision to tell her, and when you did, you shook your head.

When she didn't say anything back, you glance up at her to see her eyes closed. But it wasn't long before she opened them back up, this time wider than she had before. She wasn't falling back asleep, only resting her eyes until it was ready to open more while you were contemplating your decision.

Taylor had already felt your movement. You'd guess she was trying to find what to say, and when she did, it made you feel relieved. She didn't care if she felt sleepy. All that mattered was you.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" at this point, enough questions has been asked for her to know what you need.

You shook your head once more, the nightmare still flashing in your memories. You had already released a flow of tears before waking her up, but now its all coming back again.

She feels tears seeping through her shirt, and that's when she fully wakes up, shifting her body to hug you properly. "Oh, baby," her voice came out softly. Your hold on her was as if she would disappear in the matter of an instant.

She leans down to kiss your shoulder, while her hand rubs your back to reassure you. "I'm here, I've got you."

Once you've calmed down, she leans back a little to look at you.

"You're safe with me." her hands go up to the side of your cheeks, her thumb wiping away the now small tears, before she went in for a soft, gentle kiss.

Her forehead rested upon yours once she pulled away, the both of you having your eyes closed.

"I love you. And thank you." your voice comes out, small, and weakly, but the love was present within it. Your eyes opening once more, along with hers.

She leaned in to rub her nose softly against yours, and you giggled.

"I love you too, baby. Always wake me up when you get a nightmare, okay?" she replies back, with just the same amount of love, if not, more. You nod at her, so grateful for someone like her.

Her lips turned up, and yours did too. The both of you continue gazing into each other's eyes while the sun started rising in the background. The window gleaming.

Her phone started ringing, but she only moved her eyes and her hand, blindly searching for her phone just to silence it.

You were slightly confused, but to her it was a free day, meaning she didn't want to take any phone calls at the moment unless it was important. And her top priority right now, is you.

"You hungry?"

"Yeah."

"Waffles?"

“For all I ever want, is to simply spend

every living second just beside you, darling.”

In The Sunlight. In The Sunlight, My Love.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

As the morning sun shined through the windows of the bedroom, you stir in your sleep, your body laying comfortably on the soft bed.

Your eyes slowly open as you awoke, blinking away the sleep while your mind registered that it was now morning.

And you also realized that beside you, was empty space. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, because you were sure Taylor didn't have any work today. Unless whatever she's said last night was just a dream.

You slowly sat up and turned to let your legs dangle from the bed, a yawn leaving your mouth.

The door was open just a creak, and you know Taylor wouldn't have left it opened unless she was home, so you wake up a with little bit more hope, and got out of bed.

Right as you walk to the door, even with it open just slightly, you can already hear that familiar voice you love oh so much, like a soft melody that was always beautiful, even if she wasn't singing.

You slowly make your way downstairs, and you see Taylor sitting cross-legged on the couch, one of her hand holding up her phone while the other was making it across her chest to rest against the one holding the phone.

Even as you arrived downstairs, she was far too focused on talking to the person on the call, that she didn't notice you. Once you got close enough, you soon recognize that she was talking to Tree. Perhaps about some merchandise, or a new album, or a show she's planning, you weren't entirely sure.

Her wavy hair was frizzily tied up in a ponytail, a few small strands getting out here and there. She wore a loose white collared shirt, and some comfortable sweatpants while she sat on the couch. It was a usual sight really, but it always made you smile just seeing her.

You made your path to cross towards her from the stairs and to the couch, to which was when she started to notice you were present in the room.

Her eyes looked at you first until she turned her head at you with a smile. Her arm across her chest moved to open a space for you while Tree talked. She adored you even in the morning.

You make up a somewhat pouty smile before you went to sit on her lap. She sets the phone down somewhere on the couch to have both of her arms free, just to wrap them around you.

You make yourself comfortable in her warmth, your head resting between her shoulder and her neck. The blonde then leaves a soft kiss on the side of your head, making you to look up at her adorably with a smile that she reflects.

Your mind just about registers the ending of her conversation on the phone, only hearing her voice saying, "Okay Tree, thank you. I'll talk to you about everything else later." She says softly of her goodbye along with Tree.

Right when her finger taps on the end call button, she turns to look at you, her eyes glimmering in love. You could feel your heart rate grow quicker with even just a look. "Good morning, baby."

"Morning," you say with a smile, your head having moved to rest against her shoulder, gazing at her face that was perfect even in the morning.

"You slept well?" Her hand goes to move a stray hair away from your face. You respond with a nod, and she matches your lips.

"You weren't there when I woke up." Your voice was quiet and soft, your fingers finding their way to hers, fiddling around with each of them.

"I'm sorry, darling. I had a call, and I didn't want to wake you up with the talking." The soft skin brushing against each other had her looking down softly with her lips turned up. She watches your fingers moving with hers, glad you could find comfort in even just a small, simple way.

"Do you want breakfast?" She asks, knowing you were hungry. The clock on the wall showed that it was almost well over the usual breakfast time.

"Yeah." You whisper, your face slightly hiding in her shoulder from how fast she figured out what you were just about to say before she spoke up.

"Well then, we will be having pancakes, if that's okay with you." She leaned closer towards you as she said her words, and even though you were already close, the way she did so with leaving little distance between you two made you feel her breath just slightly tickling your cheeks.

"More than okay." When she hears your agreement, she places the gentlest kiss right on the tip of your nose before pulling away.

"Let's go then." She pats your thigh lightly, signalling you to get up. You do, and she follows you along, the both of you going off to the kitchen.

She already had the ingredients ready on the kitchen counters. You'd guess she had them prepared while she was on the phone, and it warmed your heart from how she fit in the thought of you while she had work to think about.

"First, we start with this," She holds up her phone, placing it on the counter. Her fingers moved across the screen, finding a song, and when she does, she taps play on it, the starting melody reaching your ears. It was a slow one, perfect for peaceful mornings like these.

You assumed she was simply wanting some background music, but instead of walking to the prepared ingredients, she goes back to you. Your eyes were curious as to what she was up to as you watched her

She takes ahold of your waist gently, and starts swaying along with you. You let out a small laugh in a breath. She never fails in making you feel like you're falling in love with her for the first time, all over again. The movement matches the rhythm of the song, the moment slowly turning more special.

The sunlight was gleaming through the windows, casting a warm yellow glow onto the floor, but the tiles of the kitchen were cold still from the rainy midnight before.

She gently pulls one of your arms up, and you knew it was a signal to spin, so you did, while she kept her eye on you to catch you if need be.

Your back was against her front now, and her hands were placed just on your lower stomach, her head resting on your shoulder, watching your face from the side. She admired every feature she could.

"You are the most loveliest human on earth, you know?" She whispers, her voice like honey, drizzled over your soft skin.

"Can't be me, 'cause you are." You say, and her teeth catches her bottom lip as she tried her hardest not to smile more than she already is.

"We both are then." The two of you share a kiss, both of your hearts warmed by your new favorite warm morning together, and by the love you held.

“Oh, all I'd ever do for you, and you only.”

Moments To Never Forget.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was a peaceful day. You were sat on the couch in the living room with Taylor, knowing today is your birthday, but you never really did much on it, except get a cake really.

"You know, I have something to show you." She says naturally, but with a mysterious tone in her voice. You piqued up slightly in her embrace at the sentence, curiosity taking over your features.

"What is it?" You ask as she moves to get you off of her and stand up, wanting you to follow with her from her hands tugging on yours.

"You'll see." Her voice was cheeky, her eyes following her smile. You get dragged over to the bedroom, making you all the more curious.

She sits you down on the bed before going off to the closet, where all her clothes are located. She opens it, and you gasp.

Your mouth was open at the set of cardigans in her wardrobe that you knew weren't there before. They were beautiful, and the side of the arms had little stitched in stars in them. You close your mouth as you took in the scene before you. Was this real or a dream? You didn't even know. You were about to ask her to pinch you.

They only weren't there before because Taylor had some of them stored in another house, and she didn't have a piece of each and every one yet, surprisingly, until her team sent her ones she didn't have yet, completing her collection.

"Which one do you want?" She asks softly, her hands waving over to them as a gesture of 'voila'. Her eyebrows raised with a smile on her lips.

"Tay, I love them all, I can't just choose one." Your shoulders slumped with your words, your mind thinking Taylor was asking you to choose only one that you could wear or add to your own wardrobe. Technically you could just steal hers, but that wasn't in your flow of thoughts with the shock, and how your mind was currently focused on her question.

"Well, you can have them all, darling, but right now which one do you wanna wear?" Her sentence comes out with a small giggle that vibrates within her ribs and echoes out to your ears, and you were about to melt into a pool of puddle on the wooden floor with all the love you had for her.

"You choose," you say quietly, not able to make a decision. She hums, half expecting you to have said that, perhaps. The blonde turns her head to look at the closet, her fingers brushing against the soft fabrics of the cardigans, and her eyes were extremely focused.

"How about this one?" Taylor reaches her hand out to one of the hangers, grabbing one of the seven cardigans from her collection. She chose simply on whichever she thought you'd love most, and she never fails in doing so.

You grab the hanger as she gives it to you, your eyes shining at the sight. You delicately take off the cardigan and put your arms in the arm holes, wearing it. It smoothly goes over your shoulders and went off to your other arm as you fully had it on you.

Taylor smiles, her eyes looking over the sight of you wearing something of hers. Well, she has before, considering you stole her hoodies and clothes, but this was especially different. Her own merch.

"You look lovely," she whispers, her voice endearing as ever. A slight red tint appears on your face, and she tries her hardest to get a clear picture of it in her head to store away and remember for years later to come.

"It's warm. It feels like whenever you hug me." You move your arms as if to hug yourself slightly, the comfortable fabric making itself feel like home upon you.

"Well, I'm warmer, but I'm glad it's comfortable." You giggle at her sentence, but she wasn't wrong. Although she is warmer, the cardigan fits you perfectly, and it's soft against the skin of your arms.

She closes the closet doors and walks over to you, putting her arms out to hug you and sit on your lap. She places her arms around your body that was layered in a shirt and the cardigan.

"Are you warm enough?" She asks playfully as she puts her cheek against your shoulder, looking up at you adorably, her blonde hair spilling over your shoulder. You swore you were gonna die happily right then and there.

"You're basically gonna make me melt from all the warmth." You're lucky the room was cold enough for it all to be cozy, and oh so perfect of a temperature.

She giggles, and then gets off of you, standing up and taking your hand into hers, tugging you to follow along.

"Where are we going now?" You ask curiously, your arm pushing you up and your legs straightening to a standing position to follow her. Your hands were intertwined with each other like a perfect puzzle piece.

"Someplace you'll love." She says, grabbing her keys out her pocket and going to the living room, making her way to the front door.

Once she opens the door, the sun was greeting high above the clouds somewhere, but it wasn't awfully sunny. She closes and turns the key into the door behind you. The sky shows a nice and gentle weather, no gray clouds.

The car beeped in the distance to your left, making you turn your head towards it. Taylor tilts her head while she walks to the car, as if to signal you that she was done making sure the house was all safe and locked.

You trail behind her, watching her get in the driver seat to turn on the engine. You thought she'd stay there and close the door, but she goes over to the passenger side and opens yours for you.

A dopey smile was on your face, her small gestures of love being everything to you. You went ahead and walked by her to go sit in the seat. She checks that you're fully in the vehicle before she closes the door.

When Taylor got in and clicked her seatbelt on along with you, she settles her hands on the steering wheel, driving off to the main road and start the journey to your destination, wherever that may be.

You got comfortable, unknowing whether it'll be a short one, or a long one. Before doing so, you turn on the radio and adjust the volume so it'll be good background music. You smile when you hear your favorite song playing.

Her eyes went to watch you every now and then, your head nodding along to the music and some lyrics coming out your mouth. She was so in love with you and everything about you.

When it went on to being half an hour in the car, you had settled down in your seat, watching the trees pass by and looking at the view outside. It seems you were going up a few mountains, and you couldn't wait to see what she had planned.

Taylor was smiling adorably as she drove. The sun was setting already, the two of you having left the house in the evening, and it left an iridescent line on her face, the rearview mirror reflecting the sun.

This was a precious day and a precious moment. You stare at her, admiring her for a second before pulling out your phone, your teeth catching your lip as you took a picture of her.

She notices you in the corner of her eyes, and her smile grew wider with a soft look. "I saw that," she says, knowing you loved to take pictures of her before she sees. But you didn't just take it for that reason.

"There's a rainbow on your face." You point out, and she looks into the mirror, her eyes brightening at the many colors of light visiting her cheek down to her neck. It was as if you were to travel upon a rainbow and find a stash of gold, to which, she practically is one. But she's more valuable and special than a simple pot of gold. Oh, so much more.

"I guess it's true how they say I have a bit of magic running through me." She focuses back on the road ahead of her, joking about the fans to you. You shake your head with a small laugh, but almost agreeing with her and the people who's talked about it. Far too many coincidences with the plane matching her lyrics, and mother nature following her with strikes of lightning.

Soon enough, you arrive, and it was a place somewhere on the side of the road, but there was a small path that could be seen at an angle. You follow Taylor's lead when she got out and locked the car, the wind breezing gently through your hair as you moved.

The sun had gone down by now, and the sky was dark, but the pathway had small lamps lighting up the way. You wondered if that was Taylor's doing, or perhaps they had already been there and this was a spot some people visit.

But it was her doing. She found this place a while ago, and no one else had taken it thus far. It was hers, and your spot now. The grass was green, and there were beautiful trees with leaves flowing and smoothly falling down here and there.

Taylor eventually stops walking, and you see a small picnic set up below an apple tree. She smiles your way, and your lips reflected hers. You couldn't have found anyone better.

She goes to sit down on the fabric, beside her a basket with some food. You sit down with her, shuffling to sit in between her legs with your back against her front.

It was a place where not much light pollution covered the place. You stare up at the night sky. It glimmered with stars, brightly glowing along with the gibbious moon high up the sky. You could see venus and saturn somewhere.

The sight shined off to your eyes, and hers stared down to them, admiring the speechless but happy look on your face. You were staring at the stars, she was staring at you.

You had your hands resting in your own lap, and she went off to the basket to grab a container that has a a slice of cheesecake. One that was delicious, and one from your favorite shop.

There was a small birthday candle, and the blonde gently places it atop the cake, lighting it up with a lighter.

She grabs a fork, opening the lid and handing the fork to you. You didn't see it until she waved it slightly, making you look down. A small gasp makes it way out your mouth when you realize what was on the picnic blanket just beside you.

"Tay, you didn't have to do all this." You say, your voice barely above a whisper from the surprise of how much she's been doing for you just in one day. And she planned all of it by herself. You look at her over your shoulder, your eyes full of emotions.

"But I wanted to. And you deserve every inch of it," she says, so very softly. Her free hand reaches up to caress your cheek with her thumb gently. She then lays a light kiss on your lips, her eyes holding only care and her embrace only holding safety.

Your lips turned upwards, and you gently take the fork from her hand, going off to grab the cheese cake container.

"Make a wish." She whispers gently. You stay quiet for a second, before blowing out the candle. Her face has a smile as she watches you.

"You're not gonna tell me what you wished for are you?" Taylor asks as you dig your fork into the cake, taking a small size before putting it in your mouth.

"Nope. It won't come true if I do." But in honest truth, the wish was her. To be with her forever and always.

The cake melted in your mouth. It was sweet, but not awfully sweet. Just the right amount, as it always had been. Taylor watches your movement from behind as she held you.

You then take another piece, but you didn't put it in your mouth. Instead, you lean back slightly and turn, putting the piece of cheese cake in the air, just near her mouth.

Her eyes flickered down to it, then back to your face. She opens her mouth and eats it, humming with the delicious taste filling her mouth.

She grabs another fork from the basket, wanting to share with you. You let her by putting the plastic container beside the both of you once more, turning back around to rest against her and stare up at the sky.

As the cheese cake was being finished, and the crickets made sound somewhere in the trees, she had thoughts floating in her mind, her eyes wandering over to you every now and then rather than the cake, or the sky.

"Okay, I have one last thing for you today." She spoke up softly, and you look at her, curiosity filling you as you wondered what else she could possibly have in store.

"What is it?" You ask, eager at this point from the sleepiness that might be coming onto you, and how she's been going at you with surprises left and right today. But it is a special day, after all.

"Can't tell you yet. Close your eyes first." She whispered near your ear as if to give off a mysterious tone.

"It better not be a snake like last time." You said as you closed your eyes and raised a brow. She had her mouth open in an act of getting offended even though you couldn't see.

"No! It's your birthday, silly. Of course I'm not gonna scare you." You can hear her smile in her voice, and some movement somewhere near you. She looks at you closely, making sure you had your eyes fully closed.

You then feel one of your arms being tugged up slightly to be put in the air at the same height as your chest, your palm facing upwards. A what felt like a box, with a soft exterior was then placed on your hand.

"Okay, you can open your eyes," she says, and the both of you were filled with anticipation. Hers, of your reaction, and you, of what you're gonna see when you open your eyes. When you did, it was a beautiful black box in your hand with a shiny metal latch.

"You better not have gotten me something far too expensive." Your eyes went off to hers, and she has a smile growing on her face once more.

"Just a reasonable price for something special," was all that she replied with, and you couldn't really say anything much to that, and so, your hand goes off to get the latch and open the lid, revealing a metal necklace that has a heart in the shape of how she draws it, and her initials on the sides of the heart. There are also small charms at the side of your favorite albums of her, not far off from the center of the necklace.

"Taylor. You did not." Your voice was in pure shock, knowing this was definitely custom-made. You had talked before about a necklace that should have certain charms that you would love to see together. But there wasn't one that really existed like that specifically, so you never thought of ever getting it. But she managed to get one specifically for you, and only one exists in the world.

"Yes, I did." She looked down at you, seeing how your hands very gently touched the chain and charms on it, loving that you were awestruck, and also absolutely in love with her.

"Happy birthday, baby." She kisses your cheek softly, hugging you and squeezing slightly from behind. Even a squirrel perhaps that isn't yet sleeping, is looking at the two of you from above a nearby tree, seeing the love you held dear.

"Thank you, Tay." You whisper, your free hand that wasn't holding the box going off to take her hand that was around your stomach in yours, giving it a gentle squeeze as she did with your body earlier.

"Help me put it on?" You ask, looking at her. She was looking at you with a soft gaze, like a fawn looking at someone.

"Of course," she replies, taking ahold of the necklace with a gentle grip to not let it fall, and clasping it around your neck, checking it was on properly.

"You look gorgeous," she says, her voice filled with honesty. Her eyes were all focused on you and the necklace on your neck.

"Do you like it?" She asks as if with hope for you to love it, but she already knew the answer to come, she just wanted to hear it coming from your own mouth than her head.

"I love it!!" Taylor adored the pure joy on your face, every second with you making her love you even more somehow, if possible.

The rest of the night was spent with adoration and love, and you sleeping in the car on the ride back home, with her staring at you at some red lights.

It's a whole day of memories to remember, and you aren't ever gonna forget it.

“I'll be here, no matter what.”

Coughing Fit.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

Somewhere in the middle of the night, you wake up with a coughing fit, making Taylor wake up from her sleep.

She turns to check on you, and sees your shaking body from the coughs reverbrating through your bones. She moves closer and her hand goes to pat your back in reassurance while her face grew with concern. Even though her mind was filled with sleep, she's trying to keep it awake and all focused on you.

Taylor sits up a bit more, her eyes fully open now. She frowns when she kept hearing you cough, it not ending, it seems.

She rubs her hand on your back instead, her other one going off to grab the cup of water on the bedside table prepared last night.

She waited until you calmed down slightly and then put the glass in your hands. You sip it at first, then drink more. Feeling the need to cough once more though, had made you pull the glass away, careful not to let the water spill out from your shaking of coughs.

"Slowly, baby." She worriedly places her hand on your back again, her other one going to hold your drink. Your coughs seemingly slowing down to a stop. Or at least, for about fifteen seconds.

"Are you okay?" She asks, her hand on your back moving up to tuck a strand of hair away from your face and behind your ear. You didn't answer her yet, until you took a deep breath in and let out, and yet another cough came out.

You sigh and let your shoulders drop in defeat, leaning to lay tiredly against her chest. Her heart ached at the sight of seeing you so vulnerable.

"Shh..." She runs her fingers along your hair, soothing you while you tried to breathe through the coughs. She held you gently, her chest rising and falling in sync with yours. "It's okay. Just take deep breaths and let it pass."

A few seconds go by without one, until that awful sound of a cough came back. Her mind searched for something that could help you. She could hold you all the way through, but that would be painfully slow when she knows there could be something to relieve you. With it being the middle of the night, her brain was a little slow, but then she remembered.

"Oh, baby, you need medicine." Her voice was soft, and full of concern. She felt the vibrations of your coughs going through your whole body on her chest.

"Stay here, okay?" Taylor was about to get out of bed, but not before an inch that she'd move, you had tightened your grip on her gently, a clear sign that you didn't want her to go.

"It will only be for a second, I swear." She assures you, causing to loosen your hold on her slightly. She gently picks up your hands and puts it down in your lap while you pouted adorably. She pouted back just as adorably, her heart melting for you.

She got out of the bed and walked out of the room, leaving you alone. After just a few seconds though, she got back with medicine in her hand and two mugs in the other.

"Okay, here. You'll feel better when you take it." You grimaced at even the thought of swallowing the medicine or even looking at it, but when Taylor raised her eyebrows, you knew there was no getting out of it. And, you would only cough even more if you didn't take it.

The blonde sat back down next to you and prepared the necessities, such as opening the lid, making sure the cup of water was near in case you needed it, and that she had a spoon.

She poured the liquid onto a spoon, careful not to let it drip down. Hovering the filled spoon over her open palm, she waits for you to open your mouth.

You hesitate, but manage to open your mouth, and surprisingly, you haven't coughed in a bit, but that might be your nervousness showing.

Taylor puts the spoon in your mouth and you keep it for a few seconds before swallowing easily going down your throat. You reached out your hands towards the glass of water, and she gave it to you, wanting to wash down the bitter taste.

"Now if we get some sleep, I'm sure you'll be better in no time." She says, giving you a soft smile as she heard no cough anymore. Or, right now, anyway.

"I got you some hot lemonade too, if you really need it." She points at the bedside table behind her, leaning to the side to reveal the glass filled with the warm beverage. You smile at her thoughtful gesture.

"Th-" You cough once more, covering it up in your arm so the germs don't go anywhere but there.

"Thank you...--" She puts her single finger on your lips gently, looking at you softly and shushing you. A smile grew on both of your faces at the interruption, your heart warming at how gentle she was with you.

"Don't talk darling, you'll cough more." She grabs the mugs, one for her and you. Even though she didn't really need it, nothing could go wrong with that. It's always lovely to have hot liquid running down your throat, especially at a time like this.

You take the mug she offers you, and take a sip of it after blowing on it for a few seconds. The lemonade traveling from your tongue down to your throat, soothing everything in its path.

A few minutes pass with a little more quietness, and she was glad it managed to help your throat calm down on you. As your cup started to empty out, and your eyes started to get heavy, supposedly from the warmth, too, you hand her back your mug, to which she places back on the bedside table.

Leaning back against her body, you close your eyes, with her holding you safely and the dose of medicine would be putting you back to sleep quicker than usual. She stays awake for a while more to make sure you've really fallen asleep, taking sips of her own warm lemonade as her other hand gently goes through your hair.

“In your times of fear, I will always be here to quiet down your reeling mind.”

Hold Me.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

You were laid down on the couch, your arm dangling off the side. You weren't on your phone, you had gotten distracted by spacing out and sitting in silence. Or at least, your surroundings were. Your mind did the opposite.

The front door had opened, and Taylor appears from behind it, her keys making a clinking sound against each other that echoes throughout the house. She had taken a quick look before closing the front door.

Already, you propped yourself up with your arms, your body reacting faster than your head at Taylor coming back home.

"Baby, I'm home!" She said, her voice a gentle but loud volume in case you were farther away in the house. Yet, she hadn't noticed you were on the couch, her focus more on taking off her shoes.

You stood up though, getting off the couch as quick as you could and going over to her. Just as she turned around, she feels you wrapping your arms around her, making her eyes widen slightly as she looked down.

"Hi," She said with a small chuckle, the sudden embrace surprising her, but she didn't mind. Her hands went around you to hold you.

The way you stayed quiet has her concerns build up, and she lightly squeezes your body, pulling you closer. She thinks over whatever could have happened, or if she's missed something important today, but it had been a seemingly calm day and your birthday or anniversary weren't up until the next few months.

"Sweetheart, are you okay?" Taylor asks, her voice as soft as a feather. She slides her hand in an up and down motion on your back, her movement slow and gentle.

"...Just hold me," You mumble, barely even a breath louder as you nuzzled into her neck for warmth and comfort. Small strands of her hair brushed against your skin as you did so.

She gazes down at you, her mouth forming a small frown. But when she feels you tightening your grip on her, she understands, and only continues to hold you.

"I love you, you know that?" She whispers softly, leaning her head onto yours and slowly laying a gentle kiss on the side.

You let out the softest, smallest sigh, your shoulders going down at her words. A sad smile raises on her lips, and she knows the problem was possibly your mind getting loud with all its thoughts.

She leans back slightly, but still letting your bodies touch. Her hands glide up from behind your back to cup your cheeks. Taylor's heart ached each time she was reminded of how bad things could get for you whenever she wasn't by your side.

You slowly open your eyes, searching hers, and she can nearly see the bit of fear goimg around in your pupils. She rubs her thumb gently across your cheek, leaning in to ever so lightly boop your nose with hers just to take away the heavy weight on your heart.

"Everything's gonna be okay." She reassures, her head moving in a small nod, and that gets you to raise the corners of your lips slightly.

Benjamin padded over to the two of you, seeing how you were hugging and wanted to join in, brushing his body against your legs. The gentle touch had you pulling back slightly to look down, seeing blue eyes staring back at you. Nearly the same ones that was above you.

Your eyes brighten up slightly, and you lean down to pick him up. Taylor's face now held a full smile, watching you hold him in your arms as you patted his head. Her hand goes to rub his body all the while, her fingers going through his fur.

"Even Benji loves you." Her voice had perhaps gone an octave higher, and with Benjamin purring against your chest, you lean your head on her shoulder.

"They all do." Taylor said, her eyes traveling over to the hallway leading to your shared bedroom, where Olivia was sleeping and Meredith was just laying there, watching from afar. She then looks back down to Benjamin, her heart swelling. She didn't want him to be in the arms of anyone else but you.

"The smallest boy." She said quietly as she went to scratch his chin, the vibrations of his purring felt against her hand. Your eyes watch him before going up to look at her.

"I love you." The soft whisper of your voice, mixed with emotions had her instantly returning her attention to you, giving Benjamin one last pat before pulling you closer for another embrace. But this time, her arms were around your shoulders, careful to not squish the cat.

"I love you more." It was an honest promise. She could and will say it a thousand more times for you if you needed it or not. The demons in your mind had definitely scurried away by now, the matching rhythms of your hearts proving the love you held.

She then leans back to kiss the tip of your nose, the tickle making you giggle softly.

"You'll be okay, sweetheart."

Sleep.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

You stare out the window, watching every scene pass by with a blank mind. You could barely think, from the certain restlessness sitting within your body.

Taylor notices this. Your quietness was normal, but unusually more silent. Though, she continues to drive, her eyes focused on the roads.

You sink a little deeper in your seat and try to close your eyes, the darkness enveloping your vision.

...But after waiting for what felt like an eternity, with the streetlights passing by a hundred times, you give up and open them up once more, only this time, half open.

Your eyes tiredly move to look at whatever was in front of you and space out into it. The window, the dashboard, the handle, that compartment for items and drinks...the window.

You sigh softly, but it didn't make much noise. The car gently stops to a red light, and Taylor's eyes glide over to you before she tilts her head slightly to see your figure.

"...Why don't you sleep, sweetheart?" Her voice comes out gently as ever, naturally overlaying the silence that once surrounded you.

You bit your lip gently. "Can't," your whisper was quiet as you fidgeted with your hands, and she just about heard it. Concern etched on her face, but the lights had turned green, making her focus back on driving, her eyes on the road.

You couldn't sleep in a car. Not ever. Maybe little naps here and there if you really got tired, but it was near impossible. You couldn't really take a quick nap anywhere actually, if you wanted to be really honest.

The humming of the car was all that made sound now. She keeps glancing back to you every now and then to make sure you were okay, but seeing as it was just a few more minutes from home, she was calm enough to let it be.

Your mind was fuzzy, and you could feel your eyes getting tired. Taylor notices you slumping further into your seat, and she reaches over to gently place her hand on yours, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We're almost home, baby."

When she finally pulls into the driveway, she sighs softly in relief and looks at you with worry. But you were yawning softly, clicking off your seatbelt, to which her gaze softens to.

Her hand goes to open her car door and she gets out, walking around to your side. You were already opening the door yourself, slowly getting up with the push of your hands against the seat.

Taylor watches you for a moment, but seeing the fatigue you had, she slips an arm around your waist, offering to help support some of your weight.

You lean into her, grateful for her help as she closed the car door. She keeps her eyes on you and made sure to be careful on your walk to the front door.

Taylor grabs her keys from out her pockets and inserts it into the keyhole while you were blinking your eyes, fighting to stay awake as your vision was in a haze.

She pulls you in with her once she had the door open, grabbing the keys back. You leaned against her shoulder, your eyes momentarily closing.

The blonde closes the door and locks it to ensure the safety of your home, then turns to face you, her arm still around your waist. She smiles softly, knowing you were exhausted.

Gently, she pulls you forward, guiding you up the stairs with you close against her, your body practically mushed to her side. The way she felt you growing heavier on each step told her you were on the verge of falling asleep.

Just as you reached the top of the stairs, you misstepped through your sleepiness, and her eyes widen, but she quickly catches you with a sharp breath, both of her arms now around you as she firmly kept ahold of you.

You gripped onto her, your body alerting itself of the sudden movement when she helped you regain balance. Taylor then laughed softly, shaking her head at your adorable sleepiness. You quietly laughed yourself, but almost nervously as you realized how dangerous it was to be walking like this.

"Come on, lets get you to bed before you fall asleep on your feet," she whispered, looking forward to see the bedroom was another few more doors away within the hallway. She lets out a quiet breath, then returns her gaze to you.

With you about to black out, she decides to lean down and put your arms around her neck, then lift you up with both of her hands under your thighs. You let out a confused hum, but hugged her like a koala bear, your eyes closed.

Her lips gently raised up as she looked at you, but she continues her journey, holding you close until you were in the bedroom, which, she really should have done before going up the stairs.

Once she reaches the bed, Taylor places you on the edge first, then slowly let your back fall down to the mattress, pulling your legs up too.

Just as she was about to move away, you stir lightly, a small sleepy groan coming from you. She gently tucks a stray hair behind your ear, smiling softly. "I know, baby." she whispered, walking to her side of the bed to slide in next to you.

She snuggled herself behind you, and was going to put her arm around your stomach, but you had rolled around to face her, your face pouty as you went closer to her, your arm falling atop her.

She chuckled softly, but returned the embrace, her hand going to your back and gently moving in a soothing motion, her own eyes closing as she leaned in to put her cheek against your hair.

Just as both of you were about to fall into a deep sleep, a notification sounds out from either one of your phones, making Taylor reach over you to silence it, not wanting anything to bother you, especially not when you were so tired.

When she felt you shift slightly, nuzzling closer into her and seeing that you still weren't in slumber, her hand rests on your back once more. "Shh...sleep, sweetheart," she whispers, her voice soft.

Taylor continues her soothing motion on your back, turning to gently kiss the shell of your ear, as it was the closest skin to her lips she could find.

Soon, in seconds time, your breathing got softer, a clear indication you were finally getting some rest. She lets out a gentle sigh of relief, and pulled you ever so gently closer.

Her eyes closed once more, also tired from the day she had, and the shows she's been doing. But it was all worth it, when she gets to spend time with you like this. Her body relaxes, and she slowly joins you in your sleep, your legs intertwined.

“Softly, love, softly...with your endearing touches, my stresses are faded without any further troubles."

Paintings & Kisses.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was the afternoon when Taylor had just gotten home, having told you earlier in the morning that she was going out somewhere.

She takes off her shoes and walks to the living room, seeing you sitting with your phone in your hands, comfortably laid down on the couch.

You looked up from your screen though, taking note of her presence. Seeing the questionably large plastic bag in her hand and what seemed to be small canvases within it, had your curiosity grow.

Your mind traveled to your memories, and you remember stocking up on groceries together just days ago...so it couldn't possibly be that, making your eyebrow raise.

"What's that?" You ask, pushing yourself up slightly with your hands on the couch to peek, but she expected it, so she smiles and opens up the bag with two hands for you.

"Paint supplies," she said softly, inside having paintbrushes, plenty colors of paint, and a single palette. Since she had a palette herself from the past artwork she's done, she bought one, just for you.

"I thought we could have some fun, peace, and make a mess of everything." Taylor moves to the middle of the room, where there was a bigger empty space for you two to settle on the floor, not wanting to do it on the coffee table since either of you could possibly leave paint marks on it. Although it would be good for memories, its not ideally the best thing to do

"Mm, together?" You asked, your eyebrows furrowing in thought as you stood up and moved closer, watching her leave the bag on the floor to then look at you.

"I did say 'we', darling." She said, cupping your face and leaning in. Her lips gently pecked the tip of your nose, which made you crinkle it up and giggle softly.

"I would love to," you whispered, looking at her lovingly. What an endearing to have done by her, the willingness to share her hobby with you, spending time well.

"Good. I wasn't intending on doing it without you." She brushes her thumb against your cheek gently before they slide off of your face. Taylor looks down, then remembered her extra art supplies she's had, stored in a drawer somewhere.

In the meanwhile, you were shaking your head at her sentence, your gaze adoring in all the ways she loves. You had to let go of her for her to walk away and grab her old keepings.

She returns with some leftover paint tubes that had missing colors within the set, and her own palette, sitting down on the floor in front of you.

You smiled softly and moved to sit down with her, hearing the plastic bag crinkle as she brought out the newly bought items, placing it all on the floor. When you saw the square, small canvases, your heart filled to the brim with excitement, happily wanting to enjoy painting together with her.

"What music do you wanna put on?" She asks, picking up her phone and opening spotify as her expression turns into one of thoughtfulness and concentration.

You hummed for a moment, picking up a paintbrush to gently run over the tip of your finger with, the softness of its brand new quality brushing against your skin.

"How about some of your music?" You suggest slowly, hesitant as you await for her to raise an eyebrow or deny with a no, but she only looks up at you with softness in her eyes, her lips just slightly raised. She was waiting herself, but for more detail on which album.

"Like...Lover?" You added with a tilt of your head, your teeth sinking into your lower lip afterwards. She smiled softly now, her eyes having a glimmer in them as they looked into yours before she looks for the album on her spotify.

"Always choosing the album about you, huh?" Taylor lightly teases, chuckling gently for a moment while your cheeks dusted a shade of pink. You looked down to the floor you were sitting on together, just a tinge embarrassed by her comment.

"You can choose something else, I just really like that one," you quietly said, tracing the blank canvas in front of you, then picking up the tubes of paint to inspect them.

"Maaybe I will..." She said, in a melodious tone, and you were shying away even further. Her eyes flicker up to you with a wide smile, but on her side of the screen, she was already at her album, the gentle bright pink cover shining in her eyes.

"I'm kidding. I find it cute, baby. And I love this album, too," she assured you, putting the first song on play, the adorable sound of her background vocals going 'da da da da da da', sounding out from her phone, the intro starting softly.

When Taylor looks away from her phone, she sees you brushing the paintbrush against the palm of your hand, your eyes distractedly focused on it. She smiled softly, before grabbing your attention by setting her phone down and speaking.

"Okay, are you ready?" She asks, grabbing her own paintbrush and popping open the lid of the paint tubes, clicking it closed once she put them onto her palette.

"Mhm," you hummed, smiling softly. You start experimenting the colors along with her, mixing them together to create new shades.

The song gently plays out around the two of you, encapsulating the space in a gentle warmth and filling the quietness. Taylor started on her painting, moving gently and carefully.

You started too, making sure your fingers had a gentle grip on the brush to follow the imagined picture in your head. Taylor was going with a bit of black first, making the background.

Minutes upon minutes pass by, with the gentle swish of a cat's tail suddenly coming in contact with, thankfully your arm and not the paint, the both of you had a clearer image of what you were aiming for.

Making sure you didn't have fresh paint on your hands that could get on Benjamin's fur, you reach out to gently pet him, causing the blonde in front of you to look up from her painting, a smile raising on her lips.

When you continued your strokes of paint with her, Benjamin sat down at first, his soft paws making home on the wooden boards of the floor, then he laid down, curiously keeping watch over the two of you.

"What are you making?" You ask her gently, peeking to her canvas. Her piece held a mix of deep colors, some parts seemingly coming into play as foliage, flowers, or random messy, but beautiful shapes.

"Mm, I don't know...just anything that comes in my mind." She replies gently, her eyes focused, but her face soft. Time passes by, the two of you fully in your moods to simply sit and paint colors.

'I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends...'

'I'd never walk Cornelia Street again.'

'That's the kind of heartbreak time could never mend.'

'I'd never walk Cornelia Street again.'

'And baby, I get mystified by how this city screams your name.'

'And baby, I'm so terrified of if you ever walk away...'

You were nodding your head and dancing gently to the rhythm of the music, humming the lyrics with her. She started singing softly underneath her breath, murmuring as her hand moved with grace.

A smile softly enters your face, hearing her soothing voice. Even if her voice on the phone was present, why would you focus on that when you have the real, even softer version in front of you? Pouring her heart into her work, and spending her time being with you.

"Have you tried painting at all?" Taylor asks, finally speaking up after all the long minutes of concentrating. You hummed for a moment, thinking about it.

"A little, but I wouldn't call myself a professional," you say, your cheeks overlaying the softest shade of pink. You did little swirls to blend then look up at her.

"What about you?" You asked her back with the same amount of gentleness, making her pause, lifting her brush off the canvas.

"I've done flower paintings..." She starts off quietly and thoughtfully, her eyes traveling up to you with a smile. She also looks off to the wall, nodding towards one of the frames." ...and that one on the wall," she added in a mere whisper, as if shy.

You follow her gaze, and you spot a painting, signed, 'Swift' on the top right. It was a pretty scenery of clouds atop an ocean, a faint sunset in the background. Blinking for a second, your lips part in surprise, seeing how beautifully it was painted.

"Tay...what?" A chuckle leaves your mouth your gaze baffled, yet adoring upon her. She had a cute smile growing on her face with cheeks flushed.

"You didn't tell me you paint. And amazingly?" You leaned in, shaking your head. Your hands go back to dip your paintbrush in some water to clear the color, then grab a new hue.

"It never really came to me as a thought...and I haven't done it in a while." She shrugs, making sure she didn't make any accidental strokes while doing so.

"Well, I'm just happy I know now," you said lightly, the sun that was once high in the sky now going lower and lower, the golden glow seeping in through the windows.

With just a little bit more of your final touches, you lean back, inspecting the now possibly finished painting. Smiling, you look up at Taylor.

"I think I'm done," you spoke out. Taylor looks up, leaning in closer to gaze at your canvas. Her eyes brightened, and she looks up at you proudly.

"That's really beautiful." She whispered it, but you could tell she was putting her entire love into the sentence. You smiled, looking back down.

"Thank you." A warm fuzz filled you up on the inside while Taylor finished up hers, writing something along with her small signature. When she turns the canvas, carefully holding the edges of her fingertips, you could properly see her painting.

'Is this the end of all the endings?' was a line that was written down in the middle of the canvas, going like a gentle ripple through the beautifully mixed colors. The painting quite definitely interpreted the song, but it was also a portrait of her love for you. A piece, made specially from her heart.

"I love yours. And those lyrics..." Your eyes shined as you took it in, your eyes tracing every detail. You could also interpret it as a pathway, through a dark garden.

"You're so creative, love," you whispered, gently wrapping your arm around her shoulder to kiss the side of her head, the two of you admiring each other's work of art.

Her smile and squeeze of her hand in between you both was enough to come out as a silent 'thank you', her nose scrunching when she leaned into you.

You giggle softly, noticing her actions that you returned with a gentle motion of your thumb against her hand. Your eyes then focus back to the sight in front of you.

"...Now, where are we putting these gorgeous paintings?" Quietly, you asked. She turns her head, looking to you.

"Lets hang them in the bedroom," she replied softly, her lips raised up. Her gaze was as if you were the only one in the world. And right now, to her, it seemed like you were.

The two of you make sure you seal the paintings with a varnish and wait for it to dry before picking them up, taking them to the bedroom to hang up.

One of her arms were wrapped around your waist, both of you staring at the hanged up canvases on your bedroom wall.

Being proud of both yourselves, and each other, you stood right beside her, the sides of your bodies pressed gently. Taylor then pulls back to turn you so you were faced towards her, leaning in to kiss you softly. Her hands traveled up, cupping your face.

Every part of your heart, not even so, every inch of your body bursted with love and sparks of an electric feeling, melting against her touch and returning the kiss.

When the kiss broke, you smiled softly. "I guess now I know what your painting feels like," you whispered. Even if you knew what it was like already, a reminder makes it even better.

"That's exactly it," she said approvingly, grinning at your comment. Her soft lips met your forehead gently before she went to gaze at you.

"I love you," she whispers, leaning in closer as she kept her eyes on yours. You could feel each other's warm breaths tickling your skins.

"I love you more," you said underneath your breath, teasingly laying a kiss on her cheek instead of the one spot your lips had always found.

"That's not possible." She squints her eyes and pursed her lips, as if challenging you to protest back who loves who more, and your smile grew wider.

"Is." You nod urgingly, raising your eyebrows, while she was shaking her head, your heartbeats in sync.

"Mm, mm," she hummed, now kissing the corner of your mouth, just beside the line it had.

"We're gonna endlessly exchange kisses if you keep going." You giggle throughout your sentence, going to then touch your lips against the tip of her nose affectionately.

She grins widely, her eyes sparkling with love. "Well, I can't help it," she murmurs, leaning in to press a kiss to your lips once more.

"You make me want to keep kissing you forever," she whispered softly, the two of you continuing to be close to each other within the cozy day until you were cuddled in bed.

“As long as you're comfortable, sweetheart."

The Floor.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

The sounds of keys clinking against each other echoes throughout the house as Taylor steps in, having come home from work. She takes her shoes off and closes the door, looking around.

When there was no indication of you at all coming to greet her, a curiosity grows in her, but she assumes you're possibly napping in the bedroom.

Then, just as the blonde started to walk forward to the living room, she froze, blinking. Her head turns to look down at your figure, asleep on the floor. Or passed out. She certainly hoped not, because her heart rate was now speeding up a little.

She gently drops everything, putting her bag and keys on the couch to kneel down next to you, worry etched on her face. Your face was peaceful at least, and you were, thankfully, breathing gently, her eyes going over the rise and fall of your chest.

"Hey. You okay?" She asked gently, almost in a whisper as her hand reaches out to carefully move a stray hair away from your face and cup one of your cheeks.

A small sleepy groan elicits from you at the touch and voice awaking you to a stir. At the small sound you let out, Taylor let out a breath of relief. You were only sleeping.

She then smiles, realizing you were oddly enough, sleeping on the floor. She's never witnessed you having done that before, but even so, your face still seemed adorable to her.

Taylor's teeth gently sinks into her lower lip, and she leans in closer to your ear, wanting to tease you in your half awake state, "Why are you sleeping here?" she whispered, her breath on your skin. You jumped at the feeling of her warmth and the sudden closeness of her voice, moving away from her slightly just as your eyes barely open. She giggled softly, pulling herself back to return your peaceful space you once had simply seconds ago.

You took in a breath, exhaling it out slowly. "I couldn't sleep," you murmured, your sleepiness obvious within your voice as you shifted slightly to get comfortable again, now feeling the small soreness in your body. Taylor's gaze softens, and her hand drifted down to gently intertwine with yours, her shoulders relaxing.

"Sweetheart. And you thought the floor was the best spot to sleep?" She asked softly in a whisper, her eyes transfixed on your form. You shrugged slightly, your eyelids having fallen to a close once more.

"Come on, lets get you to bed, baby," she whispers, her hand grabbing on the couch so she could push herself up to stand, but then she noticed you weren't moving to follow her at all.

A sigh gently escapes her lips, but she smiled softly. You definitely weren't going to be getting up anytime soon. Taylor shuffles herself to sit beside you, her arm carefully moving under your legs.

Once one of her arms hooked under your legs, her other one held your body and she made sure your head had some support before picking you up in a bridal position.

"I've got you, darling," she whispers, holding you close and making sure not to jostle you too much as she slowly stood up, grunting quietly as she felt an ache in her hand, but shifted until she could hold you comfortably.

You hummed in confusion, having not expected the change of height, your eyes just barely open. She chuckles softly at your sleepy state, then made her way to the bedroom.

Since you were already lifted up in her arms, you accepted it and closed your eyes again. When you arrived, Taylor gently lays you down on the bed, taking her patience carefully as she made you comfortable, but then saw you stirring, making her movements freeze.

"Mm...sorry..." you mumbled quietly, your voice a whisper as your eyes flutter open. You took a deep breath, having felt the sleep took away your oxygen.

She tilts her head, curious and concerned. "Hm? What're you sorry for, baby?" She asks softly, kneeling down at the edge of the bed so she's the same level as you, her hand reaching out to gently brush your hair away from your face.

You pouted, and she smiles softly, her heart lightening with love. No matter how tired she was from her day, she couldn't ever be tired of you, who always waits for her back home.

"You just got back from work...you're probably sore and tired." You whispered slowly, having gathered your words within your half asleep mind. The husky voice you had was further evidence of it.

She clicks her tongue gently, melting at how caring and thoughtful you were. "Don't be sorry, I want you to be comfortable. And I'm okay. There's nothing to worry about," She assures you, her thumb gently rubbing back and forth on your cheek.

"Besides, if I was so tired, I would have just slept on the couch beside you...or just join you on the floor." She shrugs, gazing at you with her warm love as you blinked at her.

"...I would tell you to go to bed." You said, your shoulders going down in sadness, not wanting her to be sore from the mentioned locations. The care that both of you held for each other was the sweetest balance.

"And I would still sleep near you, anyway." She replied back, her fingertip lightly booping your nose. She then kisses your forehead ever so gently, before pulling away, standing up.

You pouted when you saw her walking towards the bathroom, but she gives you a reassuring smile. "I'll be right back. I'm sweaty and smelly, baby." She says, scrunching her nose before disappearing into the bathroom.

After a few minutes of hearing the shower run, and staring at the ceiling or gazing off to where the bathroom was, Taylor soon came out, a fluffy towel wrapped around her body.

You smile softly at her, seeing her pinkish tinted cheeks from the warm shower, to which she lightly blows a kiss towards you, making your cheeks mirror the color, so you hid your face using the pillow and your hands.

A soft familiar chuckle sounds out near you, and with the dip in the bed, you turn out the pillow and move just a few of your fingers to peek, in front of you, the blonde with her pretty blue eyes, gently gazing down at you as she leaned against the pillows.

"You're so cute, baby. You know that?" She says, sliding her hand up your arm to run her fingers through your hair with her compliment, even though she knows it'll only make you flush harder.

"Don't hide your beautiful face, love," she whispers, gently and carefully pulling your hands off your face after some urging, seeing your rosy cheeks and crumpled corners of your eyes from that soft smile of yours.

"It needs some kisses from these lips," she murmurs, laying a soft kiss on your lips, your nose, then peppering them all over your skin, giggles sounding out from the two of you.

"Tay!" You whine, trying to move away from her loving attack with an added gentle push on her chest, and eventually, she relents, pulling back with a glimmer of joy in her eyes.

She lays down properly next to you, the smallest, cutest giggle escaping her mouth once again. Her arm drapes over your waist, and she pulls you closer, leaving one last kiss somewhere below your earlobe.

You snuggled close to her, nuzzling into her chest as the rush of energy from the tickling of lips slowly faded. Meanwhile, her thumb was drawing small little circles on your waist.

She hums gently, moving her hand slowly in a soothing pattern. With a tilt of her head downwards, she lightly brushed her cheek against your hair, closing her eyes.

After some shifting, you got a little more comfortable, then wrapped your arms around her too, squeezing slightly.

"It's okay, I'm right here," she whispers, pressing her lips affectionately to your head as she felt you relaxing further, your breaths growing softer.

Soon, the night fades, the two of you comfortably in each other's embrace, and asleep with two synced beating hearts.

"Sweetheart, utter your needs, and I'll heed to my task to follow you, weaved with care and love."

Phone.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

You had been staring at your phone for ages, doing what? She didn't know, but it had her sighing softly for the third time.

She's been waiting around the entire hour for you to put it away at some point, but all you kept doing was the opposite. Meanwhile, Taylor's been switching her position every few minutes, hoping in a way, the movement would catch your attention. She was starting to look like one of her cats.

Once she finished yet another page of her book, that seemed like it was becoming boring by every second, she had enough. Her eyes looked to you, seeing how you were indeed still blinking and breathing, but not moving other than a few movements of your fingers.

Her hand reaches out and she gently took your phone away, causing confusion to enter your face.

"Hey!--" You protested for a moment, but her finger was placed on your lips, making you freeze and blink at her, your heart having skipped a beat.

Your eyebrows furrowed as you try to grab your phone once again, but she moved it further away from you, shaking her head.

"Mm, mm, you look at me." She lets go of your phone, having put it out of reach from you somewhere. But nonetheless, her hands cupped your face, making you look at her properly.

You let out a gentle breath and chuckled, your shoulders relaxing at the touch. Taylor looked straight into your eyes, her blue ones starting to hold just a teensy bit of frustration.

"What have you been looking at and smiling at for the past hour??" She asks, shaking her head and pouting her lips adorably. Your heart melted at the sight, your lips moving to only have your smile grow wider.

"...Cat videos. And sea otters," You explain, making her blink in the unexpected answer, although, it was you, after all. There was the smallest blush appearing on her cheeks too, and you try your best to resist a laugh.

"Well, as much as I love cats, loooook at me, baby," she urges, shaking your shoulders ever so gently, but it was clear she wanted your attention. You giggled, your hands trying to stop her, to which she slowly relented.

"All you had to do was say something, sweetheart," you whispered, nuzzling your nose against hers before kissing her softly. Her small frustration almost faltered, but her pout was still visible.

"Well, you should have at least noticed..." She murmurs, her hand sliding off your shoulders to cross them across her chest, and you purse your lips with a smile.

"Mm, nope. I thought you were trying to get yourself in a comfortable position," you said, making yourself a point, even though you were too awfully distracted.

"...But you could have helped," she replied back, her shoulders slumping down as she looked up to your eyes. Her lips were turned down, which was an adorable sight.

"The fault's on both of us, my love," you say, admitting that you indeed should have given just a little more attention on her, but she should have also spoken up or took action. She thought it over, noticing now that her maturity was the slightest bit off at the moment.

"Okay." She whispered, leaning into your shoulder, seemingly almost shrinking. Your arms wrap around her, giving her the embrace she's been yearning for the past hour.

"I'll be sure to shower you with attention all day from now on." You whispered, squeezing her gently and pulling her closer in your arms, making her face elicit a darker blush.

"...And for the rest. Of. My. Life." The words uttered from your lips were followed by a single peppering of kisses on her face. She was a mess of a giggle as you made sure to find her forehead, in between her eyes, her nose, the corners of her lips just to tease...and finally, right on her lips.

She melts into the kiss and leans in closer to deepen it, before soon parting yourselves from each other. You look into her eyes softly, and the longer you both stayed like that, she ends up scrunching her nose, her heart in of itself about to burst from love.

"I love you..." The three little words murmur from her mouth, her head leaning in to press gently against your chest. She could feel the vibration of your soft laugh that reverberated off the walls of the bedroom, and it only touched her heart further.

"I love you too, sweetheart." You whisper back, your nose brushing against her hair. It tickled, but also gave warmth and comfort. Your lips brushed near her ear ever so slightly, and you hear a giggle sounding from her, knowing it tickled her back.

You were about to move to cuddle her further and properly rather than just her in your lap, but she had gotten distracted, having noticed the small movement of a cat's tail in the corner of her vision.

She perks up and peeks over the bed, her head turned to see Olivia. Her face brightens up at the sight, while her cat was looking around curiously.

"It's Olivia!" She said, reaching her hands out and letting go of you, wanting to go grab Olivia, but you pull her back gently, tightening your embrace on her.

"Nope! You've got my full attention. You're stuck with me now," you said, giggling as you shook your head, getting yourself closer to her. She yelped slightly and the cat turned its head in surprise.

"Nooo!! Olivia!" She struggles gently against you, calling her cat out for help in act, but Olivia only blinked and walked off, jumping onto the desk chair in the bedroom, which only made both of your laughters grow.

"Okay, okay, I fell right into that," Taylor said, the giggling subsiding and dissolving into breaths that both of you tried to catch back into your regular rhythm.

You looked to Olivia, then took a deep to finish off calming yourself, your gaze going back to Taylor to look at her lovingly. She was already looking at you, a warmth felt within her eyes that you stared into.

"Lets watch the cat videos together," you say, going to your side to grab back your phone that she had put aside just to have your attention.

Taylor smiles softly, agreeing by leaning into you once more. Olivia had jumped off the desk chair in the meanwhile, jumping up on the bed.

"Look, Olivia wants to join in anyway," you pointed out, noticing the movement of a small furry body, but not looking up from your phone as you unlocked it to find the video you were looking at.

"We have real life cats that are silly, baby, I mean--" Taylor starts, about to say that you two could just look at them, but when she turns her head to see Olivia, she sees the small cat standing up on the bed, looking like a squirrel instead of a cat, which had her splutter a soft laugh.

Phone.

"Look at her! We don't even need the videos, we have the real thing in front of us." She puts her hand up, gesturing towards Olivia. You look up, and your eyes widen in surprise. Your lips turned up and you laughed with the blonde next to you.

"What is she even looking at?" You asked, seeing how Olivia was looking around. If not for Taylor's presence, and the comfy dim lighting in the bedroom, you would have thought the cat was seeing ghosts.

"Dibbles, come here." she mentions Olivia's nickname, reaching out her hand. But Olivia only continued her blank, lost expression, with her pupils dilated.

You were about to continue and put the cat videos on, but then you find one with a cat that was doing the same thing as Olivia was doing.

"Oh, my god, they have the exact same face." You said, pointing to your phone screen and Olivia. Taylor looked, and her eyes follow the happiness of her laugh.

"They do!!" she said, nearly bending over in her laugh. Finally, her cat returned to normal as she did, but she was still giggling loudly along with you. She shakes her head, smiling softly. "That is amazing."

“My, my, your gentle voice, oh, to be softly soothed with as I fall asleep.”

Lullaby.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

You were asleep, laying on the bed with your breathing deep and soft. It was quiet, a peaceful atmosphere as the cats, too, were sleeping.

Taylor was still awake. But it wasn't without reasons, as she had emails and work to do before tomorrow arrives, and also a melody stuck in her head too.

She had told you to sleep before her earlier, just because she knows you've had a long, exhausting day as she did. Even though you tried to stay up to accompany her, it was obvious you weren't able to keep your eyes open, so, a few minutes of cuddling had you sleeping within seconds.

The laptop screen made her squint through the dimly lit room, reading the words of a document, or her notes she had to check for anything she's forgotten.

A yawn escapes her mouth, and as her fingers made the keyboard keys clack with her typing, she felt herself getting sleepy.

Her eyes travel to the clock. It was 2 am. The night was still young, really, for any nights she's ever wanted to stay up for. But she wouldn't deny some sleep for now, especially with you already in slumber.

Deciding she needed at least a break, she makes sure everything is saved and mostly done on her laptop before looking to the side to grab her phone.

The screen was unlocked after seeing a picture of you and her, with Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin at the bottom. A smile raises upon her lips, her eyes going to your, thankfully, still sleeping figure.

She closes her laptop and set it aside before scooting closer to you slightly, then returning to her phone. The screen shows instagram loading up, and she uses her index finger to scroll, seeing posts and stories of her friends and other celebrities.

The gentle hum of her voice quietly sounds out, a smile still on her face, which raised up further at the sight of one of your posts; a photo of your hand, intertwined with hers, but a small cat paw joined in, atop the back of your hands.

She remembered when that happened. It was when you were sitting on the living room couch together, watching a movie. Taylor had reached your hand up to leave a soft kiss, and was about to settle it back down comfortably, when Benjamin's fluffy paw had come out of nowhere to touch your intertwined hands.

She scrolls a bit more, seeing Gracie's video of the fire in her kitchen. Again, Benjamin had come into the scene, but he was confuzzled with what he walked into. Taylor didn't even notice he was there when the situation was happening-- especially not when she was cursing at a fire extinguisher hoping her house wasn't going to burn down while Gracie was mindlessly holding up her phone.

She went to type a comment to the video, her thumbs hovering over the digital keyboard, but just as she did, she saw the smallest movement of your stirring in the corner of her vision.

Taylor senses the chance of your awakening, and her eyes lock onto your face with concern. But then, you had jolted out of your sleep with a sharp breath, your eyes snapping open.

Even with her surprise, she catches herself to gently wrap her arm around you, careful not to scare you further as she pulls you closer.

You look around panickly before you felt her hand moving in a soothing rhythm at your back. You find her blue eyes in the darkness, and she could see the vulnerability gleaming in yours.

Her face softens, and her hand moves up so she could gently make you lean against her forehead. "Shhh, it's alright." She whispers, letting go of her phone to wrap both her arms around you, making sure her phone was beside her instead of in between the both of you, just in case she accidentally moves atop it.

With a slow, gentle breath you let out, you snuggle close to her, your nose brushing against her neck, tickling the skin ever so slightly.

Although she was concerned, she could see it in your form; you were calm on the outside, but your rapid heart told otherwise. It was clear. You had a small nightmare, but thankfully not one enough to terrify all your being.

Taylor looks down, tilting her head to take a little peek at you. The tiredness and sleepiness was still in your eyes, the yawn that escapes your mouth told it further.

She smiles softly, turning to lay a soft kiss against the side of your head. Her hand was kept on your back, moving in a soothing motion still.

Minutes passed by, the white noise of the fan and A/C sounding through the room, and her own yawn coming from her mouth.

With a check on you again, she saw your eyes half open, but also not fully closed. The movement of your hand fiddling on her necklace also was a clear sign. You were having difficulty falling back asleep, and she knew you needed a small push.

With a gentle deep intake of breath that she releases slowly, she closes her eyes, leaning into you. A soft hum starts to quietly sound from her, a familiar melody that had your bleary eyes traveling up to her.

"I spy with my little tired eye, tiny as a firefly..."

"A pebble that we picked up..."

"Last july..."

All that filled the space now was her whispered words, starting to lull you to sleep. Her hands lovingly run through your hair, in hopes that it will calm you. With the melting relaxation of your body, it indeed did.

"Down deep inside your pocket,"

She smiles softly, looking at you once more with a warm smile, even while she too, was sleepy, it almost made it even sweeter.

"...We almost forgot it..."

"Does it ever miss wicklow...sometimes?"

Your eyes had grown heavier, and she watches as they finally close. Your breaths dissolve into a steadier, slower rhythm, and her humming matches with the timing.

"Mm, mm..." She hums softly, continuing on with her lullaby, until she too starts to fall asleep herself, joining you in slumber.

They said the end is coming...

Everyone's up to something...

I find myself runnin' home to your...sweet nothings...

Outside, they're push and shoving...

You're in the kitchen, humming...

All that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothing.

Seven Days Of Comfort.

long description!

these are fanfics I would be hesitant to post, as they are things I would relate to, and need comfort from myself. I tend to keep sensitive fanfics like these to myself because they need to be handled with care; since its not only fluff, but also things that have anxiety, or other things. (but of course not including the incredibly concerning ones)

short description!

since I know many other people also go through things like these, I thought maybe I'd give some of them to you all, just in case you need the comfort :] so please, take care of yourselves, ily<3

for a limited time, I'll also take requests for this time period, (8th - 14th july), but please note that I can't promise it will be perfect, finished, or be done in a short time.

I'll only take requests for Taylor and of fluff and comfort! no smut, age regression, and angst is a maybe.

Seven Days Of Comfort.

one fic per day for a week!

1 - breathe, sweetheart.

An anxiety overlayed by calmness isn't always the best way to spend your day, especially when it didn't have a reason to disturb you. Taylor notices, and tries her best to help you find yourself back in the world rather than staying in your mind.

2 - grounding.

Something of a sort of back seated anxiety takes over your seemingly calm self, but nothing seemed to get rid of it, so you decide to speak up about it to Taylor, and she offers a way to help that works for you.

3 - sensory.

It was a planned date day for you and Taylor, but you had seemed off the entire day, until a realization comes across that you were missing something.

4 - stuffed cat plush.

A cuddle session after Taylor gets home from work was all she needed. Especially when she sees the sight of you holding something precious to you in your arms while you slept in bed.

5 - social events & crowded rooms.

At the after party of an awards show, you get a little overwhelmed, and Taylor takes you home with care.

6 - exhausted.

You come back home from work, late after one mistake ruining your day, and your energy had been drained while Taylor had been waiting for you. So, she sends you to bed after some time on the couch that held reassurances.

7 - a long journey.

After so long of fighting your battles, you were finally releasing everything and calming down, and you couldn't help but let out all the tears you've ever held with Taylor.

"A way to help bring yourself back, is to make your body remember how it works again."

Breathe, Sweetheart.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was the late afternoon, midday, perhaps even the start of an evening bleeding in. The warmth of the sun sent an orange glow down through your bedroom windows, the light peeking through the curtains, and stretching across the floors with grace.

Your head was in Taylor's lap as she was writing some things in her diary. Most things that you already know of. Her eyes were focused, and you can hear the pen strokes next to your ear since the book was propped up against her knee.

After a few minutes, she pauses her writing, going over the words of ink upon the page. Then, her eyes trail down to look at you, her lips raising up. She moves to hold her diary and pen in one hand, the now free hand going to run itself through your hair.

She checks your face, only to see that you were zoned out. Every intricate detail of your features, your mind, far and lost to reality.

The singer would have expected you to feel the gaze she had on you, to look up at her from the way her hands were mindlessly going through your hair-- at times fixing it, or putting one side to the other to lightly mess with you, but you hadn't reacted.

Thats when Taylor starts getting concerned. You weren't on your phone either. It was off elsewhere on the bed, which was a possibility that you had simply gotten bored, but she suspects something else.

The pages lightly fall against each other when she closes her book, the noises a light brush. She sets it down beside her so she could focus on you.

One of the many other things Taylor had noticed is how your foot was moving side to side. It could mean anything for anyone really, but the chances of it being anxiety wasn't a low rate.

She moves her hand up to gently place on your cheek, and she leans down to get a little closer to you, her thumb gently caressing your skin with care.

"Hey..." Taylor whispers softly, her voice soothing. It might not even be audible if you were any further from her. With a blink, you slowly come back to reality at her touch and soft voice.

Seeing your eyes meet her blue ones, she gives you a soft smile. Even within your somewhat unsteady appearance, you manage to return a small smile.

"What's on your mind, sweetheart?" She asks quietly, the back of her hand turning around to gently brush against your cheek.

You took a moment to think about it. Many things has happened the past few days, but not any you could fixate on. As if you were running endlessly in a swirling tunnel with no stops for scenery, to the point you couldn't even feel...anything about it?

A feeling that held calmness, but with anxiety being present, living carelessly in your heart like a hidden storm. It didn't feel like you were stepping on sharp glass, nor a steam meter awaiting to break. It was the wind in the air that told of high sea levels and a breezy weather.

Taylor watches as you nibble on your lip, and she brings her hand closer to it, brushing her thumb over it to make your teeth halt the small damage it was doing, now knowing you were definitely too deep in your thoughts. Her leg moves over yours too, gently stopping the movement.

After a moment of completely unable to pinpoint it, you take in a deep breath and shrugged lightly, the smallest pout being on your lips. There was nothing to explain your anxious and calm state.

At the sight of the movement, Taylor's eyes soften further. Her gaze trails off and her eyes move through the room in thought.

She then took a deep breath in herself, and looked back at you. You had started playing with her fingers, bending and unbending each one, pushing and pulling with a gentle touch. Taylor watches you for a bit, not minding it at all, but unable to shake off that something could be wrong, even if its something small.

She leaned closer to you, whispering softly. "...Do you wanna try something?" Her free hand went to take your other hand, squeezing it. You blink and look up at her, thinking about it as you gaze at her, but the gentle nod you give her after a few seconds of waiting makes her heart a little lighter.

"You're gonna have to sit up," she says. Her smiles was assuring, as your eyes held curiosity. She moves the both of you, gently helping you up in a proper sitting position so you were a bit more comfortable.

Her eyes look into yours with all the softness it could, making sure you were okay in her lap.

Taylor rests her forehead against yours gently so you'll both close your eyes and have contact. Her hand lets go of yours to trail up to the back of your shoulders, her thumbs rubbing ever so slightly to soothe the tension.

"Take a deep breath for me..." She says in a hushed tone, breathing in slowly to gently guide you. Slowly, you breathe in through your nose, holding it.

"...And let it out slowly," Taylor whispers with her held breath, before exhaling through her mouth. You do the same, the warm breath escaping your mouth.

It was like this for a few minutes. The sound of the gentle air whooshing by the moving ceiling fan, the feel of the light wind against your skin, and deep breaths.

Taylor reassures you with her hand slowly rubbing up and down your arm, and you move to her chest, gaining comfort from her embrace. She was warm, and only held safety.

Maybe you didn't know the cause of your anxiety. But maybe you don't need a reason for it at all, you just needed a way to release it.

After it felt like it was gone, you start to pull back. Taylor slowly opens her eyes, blinking away the lingering darkness, but still taking deep breaths as she smiles warmly at you, her head going in a nod as a silent question.

The quiet light peacefulness was back. You gave her a smile that reaches your eyes, and a nod back, leaning into her again with your arms wrapped around her.

"...Thank you," you whisper, watching as she released her last deep breath. She needed it just as you did, too, but her heart felt grateful that she could do it with you.

"Anytime, sweetheart." Taylor whispers back, giving you a kiss on your cheek, her lips lingering before she returns to her original position, looking down at you.

It was light. You were able to focus on something again. The light from the window, the gentle sound of the fan, all without a feeling in your bones.

seven days of comfort.

“Anxiety's sitting in the backseat, waiting for any moment to rise its attack.

But don't let it bite.

Gently have it delve back into the stormy seas and let the gray clouds fade back into daylight instead.

Try it, why don't you?"

Grounding.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was a quiet day. The birds were chirping outside, and cat's tails were gently flicking as the three of them stay laid down on the carpet or couches.

You were sitting on the couch with Taylor, side by side. Breakfast was just finished a while ago, and now the tv screen was alit, both of you watching a movie together.

But there had been something gnawing at you since the morning. Even though you felt steady, there was a feeling in the back of your mind that you couldn't quite put a name to.

You had your head rested against Taylor's shoulder, and she lets you play with her hands as she watches the movie, knowing your mind would stray off, or that you needed a distraction for something thats not your eyes.

She was focused as you looked up at her, completely engaged with the story of the film. How were you going to tell her about your off-putting mind? That was a battle to do already. Your lower lip has your teeth sinking in it, and slowly, you were stopping from fiddling with her fingers.

Instead, your arm goes around her stomach to embrace her and snuggle closer to her, your eyes going to the tv screen to see the scene of a conversation ongoing.

Noticing the small shift in your position, Taylor's eyes trail over to you as she tilts her head down. A noticeable movement of your thumb, going up and down on the side of her body had her lips raising up gently, but she couldn't tell if it was a mindless gesture such as tracing patterns, or a gesture that she should raise more concern for.

She analyzes your face carefully. Your eyes were looking at the tv, but not directly at the movie. You can feel her gaze, and it was one that held love and care. Of course, you knew you were completely safe with her, but you couldn't shake off the somewhat back seated anxiety going through your mind. It was definitely not her, and you weren't watching a horror or action movie, so what exactly was it?

It wasn't long before she decides to perhaps brush off her curiosity, and return to the movie. You sink into your seat on the couch slightly, ripping your gaze completely away from the screen. The feeling seemed to never go away, from the moment you woke up in bed. Your mind's always been far off in the distance whenever you stare at a completely random spot in the room.

With a decision made in your head, you put your hand on her shoulder, and gently move to sit in her lap. Taylor's smile was soft as she looks down at you, her hand going to your back to soothingly comfort you.

To think a position like this would work, especially with her hand's motion, it's still there. Since your head was rested on her chest, you couldn't see her, but she's taken her focus completely off the movie, wondering exactly what was going on with you.

With the feel of her steady heartbeat, right next to your ear, you contemplated telling her. Your cheek brushes against her shirt, feeling the soft fabric and her warmth radiating through.

After just a few more minutes, you gain just enough courage to talk to her, a gentle inhale going through you.

"...Tay?" Your voice calls out quietly into the room, pressing your head gently against her with a tilt towards her shoulder. You didn't really need to grab her attention. Her focus had been on you for a while, seeing your built up discomfort.

"Yeah, sweetheart?" she spoke softly, her gaze on you being everything gentle. You turned your head hesitantly, meeting her deep blue eyes. She searches your pupils, before her hand gently takes one of yours to intertwine your fingers.

Briefly, it was almost as if you were being wrapped by a warm blanket. She offers you a small smile, and her free hand goes to rest on the side of your thigh, giving a reassuring swipe with her thumb for you to continue.

"Do you ever feel calm...and overwhelmed...at the same time?" you whispered questionably. The movie was still playing in the background, but it was thankfully a quiet scene, so you can both hear each other for the moment. Taylor tilts her head, her eyes darting across your face in thought.

"I do...a lot actually," she replies, her eyebrows furrowing in concern as she looks into your eyes, but her gaze stays gentle.

"Do you know why?" You murmured, letting go of her hand and fiddling with the fabric of her shirt. It was a soft, cotton material. But you sigh, and bury your face in her shoulder instead.

Her curiosity grows at your question, but she hums softly, pulling you closer. "Usually its when I get a break after being busy," she explains, but it wasn't much of help to you, and she can feel it.

Of course. It could be the cause of overload, after dealing with everything for so long, its always possible to have a mix of feelings, even up to the point you won't know at all what you're feeling, and when you finally get a break, its all the worry of more things coming in to catch up to you while you're trying to rest. Even without the thought of work or anything else, the sense of unsafety is still possible to be present. There wasn't a single reason. But all you wanted was to get rid of it, especially when its like an itch you can't reach.

"Why?" She asks quietly, wrapping her arm around your shoulders as she lets you lean against her. She also pauses the movie with a click of the enter button on the tv remote, then looks back down to you.

When you didn't give a reply, she continues quietly, "...is that how you're feeling right now?" her tone is careful, and gentle, holding only concern for your wellbeing.

You bury your face in her neck. For the slightest bit, you move in a gentle nod, confirming her suspicions. At that, her other hand rubs your back lovingly, and her lips went to place a gentle kiss above your ear.

"I just hate that I don't have a reason for it," you whisper, seemingly slumping against her. She pulls back slightly, looking into your eyes. But she thinks about her words before she speaks again.

"You know...anxiety doesn't need to have a reason to poke at you...Its just there. Whether its a thought or just a feeling," she says, holding a gaze sympathetically. She then purses her lips and squeezes your shoulders lightly.

"Have you tried listening to your calming playlist?" She asks slowly, one of her hands moving to be on your cheek, while the other was on one of your knees, her thumb rubbing back and forth soothingly.

"Yeah..." You said gently, your mind growing lost in your thoughts as you tried thinking of ways to stop the feeling, but found none. Taylor was doing the same, but she had many ways in her mind.

She nods her head and leans back slightly to make eye contact with you before giving you her warm, reassuring smile. The blonde then gently leads you off the couch, moving to pull you down to the floor she's recently cleaned other than it having lingering small pieces of cat hair.

"Lay down, love," she says gently, and you look to her in slight confusion, but you lay down, your back flat against the wooden floor. Taylor moves to lay with her legs straight out, her head in your lap, just at your waist.

"What are you doing?" You asked with a gentle giggle, curiously watching her. She had moved your hand to put over your own heart, and you felt the slightly fast beating in your chest. You hadn't even realized it was going so fast.

Taylor closes her eyes and smiles peacefully, her voice steady and calm, "Just grounding you. Focus on the feeling of my head on your lap, and your hand over your chest...now, take deep breaths with me." She said soothingly and softly. You can feel the weight of her head in your lap, and she moves slightly with the movement of your stomach from your breathing.

You blink up for a moment, listening to her idea. The ceiling was white, having the movement of the ceiling fan. The breeze of the wind was lightly taking paths down on your skin and hair, like an invite to relaxation.

Soon, you start to slowly take gentle but deep breaths, inhaling deeply, and then exhaling slowly through your mouth, feeling the cool oxygen enter your lungs, and make its exit with warmth.

She was taking deep breaths herself with you, also needing to get the thoughts of her tour, albums, and simply just work and any stresses off her heart and chest.

The sounds that filled the room were quiet, giving a placid atmosphere. Breaths coming from two bodies that mold together with their souls, the sound of the curtains lightly moving from the open window.

Some birds can be heard chirping, their flying, ruffling the leaves of trees. You hadn't even noticed a window was open. The wooden floorboards made a small gentle creak with the small footsteps of Taylor's cats.

Just staying like this, simply for at least five minutes, not even ten, or twenty, you already felt that feeling you couldn't put a name to, slowly melting off your body with each breath that goes by.

As she feels your heartbeats align with hers, Taylor gently hums for a short moment. When she feels that you're stable enough, her hands find yours and gently squeezes, inviting you to squeeze back when you feel calm and ready.

You kept you eyes closed for now, still feeling the tiniest little bits of the odd feeling of heaviness in your heart and it raising back in rate at certain times, but it was slowly getting there, your shoulders relaxing as you focus on the warmth of her hands.

Soon, you gave a squeeze back, giving Taylor the signal, and she smiles. Not yet getting up though, she looks up at you from in your lap.

"Feeling more like yourself now?" Taylor asks, happy you seemed a lot more peaceful. Sure you were already calm, but it held no peace. She too, felt a lot lighter.

"Yeah...thank you." You whisper, helping her sit up when she gently pulls on your hand. When she felt your arms wrapped around her, she returns the embrace, laying a kiss at the top of your head.

It was quiet for a moment. But it was a silence that held warm love, contentment, and no longer the weird feeling you had. She lets the peaceful moment soak in for a bit before speaking again.

"Do you wanna finish the movie here, or do you wanna cuddle in bed?" She whispers, her voice gentle near your ear as she tries to peek at your face that was in between her chest and neck.

"...Cuddle in bed," you reply back quietly, your cheeks blushing the tiniest hint of pink, and she couldn't help but find it cute.

"Come on." Taylor gently pulls back from the hug, moving to stand up. You follow her, walking to your shared bedroom with your hands intertwined.

The rest of the day was spent with many many cuddles and kisses.

seven days of comfort.

"To be loved is to be cared for."

Sensory.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

Sun streams into the room with the gentle look of the curtain lining, sending light in to illuminate the glass vases that held any flowers, a beautifully mixed bunch given from you to Taylor, or from her to you.

You let out an exhilarated sigh, staring up at the living room ceiling. Your arm hung off the side of the couch, and the other was on your stomach.

As you count the ceiling lights, you feel the air entering your lungs when you take a deep breath in, and you let it out as a slow exhale. Something was off. But you couldn't place on what it was. Yet, no amount of deep breaths could help you relax.

You felt too light. Almost...too free. The wind touching your skin was too cold, but if you covered yourself up with a blanket or jacket, it would be too warm.

Your hand ran over your face, bothered by it all. Even the urge to simply roll over the couch would not fix the problem. Oh well. You definitely did not do that, but you did roll to your side, your eyes searching the entire room.

The tv on the wall was on, playing an animal documentary. It showed videos of orcas, penguins, lions, and toucans. It got you transfixed upon it for a few minutes, but then you had started trailing off your gaze to your hands, or the small patterns on the wood of the coffee table.

You take a look to the windows, but then saw the absolute brightness of them from the sunlight, so you grimaced and squinted your eyes, quickly looking away from it.

The black spots that scattered on your vision from being blinded needed to be blinked away, and you focus on the floor instead, a small huff escaping you.

Once you got your vision back to normal, you were back in reality. It was then, you realized another thing. It was awfully quiet. The space was only filled up by the commentary on the tv, explaining the description and facts of a sea turtle.

Not that you hated it, you just couldn't focus on anything specific, and it frustrated you. You weren't even bored, it was just...like you were floating. In a bad way. Every position you change into on the couch wasn't enough to satisfy a comfortable feeling either.

Meanwhile, Taylor was in the bedroom, getting ready for your date, sincr it was getting nearer to the time you both had planned for. You already got ready after breakfast, so now you were only waiting for her.

One of the cats, Meredith, jumps up to the couch, curling up next to you. You raise your eyebrows curiously and props yourself up in a sitting position using your arm, seeing Benjamin over by the edge of the carpet, perhaps having been asking her to play with him. But Meredith craved some laziness more than playfulness, so she joins you.

Olivia? Olivia was nowhere to be seen, but she could very well possibly be in one of the other rooms, or in the bedroom with Taylor.

You reach out your hand, and the cat's nose goes near it, sniffing it lightly before you were accepted to pet her. The fur was soft. So soft. Now this, this could be something you can do forever without breaking focus, but that could be because it didn't really need any at all.

Since the couch was starting to make your body ache, you decided to switch to sitting down on the floor. Your back goes against the couch, and your legs moved into a comfortable position.

When you've settled yourself down, your hand reaches up to pet Meredith again, but now it was a stretch to reach her. The scottish fold also didn't seem to move from her current position, so you gave up on trying to pet her again.

In your luckiness though, Benjamin came to save you with his black brown-ish ears by padding over to you and flopping on the floor in front of you, his floof of a belly in visible view.

He gratefully took the way your hand gently ran through his soft fur, and he presses his head into your palm when you got closer to it. The action lightened your heart, and you smile softly, for once getting some type of relief from what you seemed to be missing.

As you were caught up with Benjamin and his fluffy body, over in the distance of your bedroom, Taylor had finished getting ready. Her steps were quiet as she went into the living room, in search for you.

Her eyebrows furrowed when she didn't see you on the couch or the kitchen, a little curiosity setting off in her, but just as she set her arms on the back of the couch, she finds you sitting on the floor, your hand in Benjamin's fur.

Finding such a sweet sight had warmed her heart, and her lips raise up as she gazes at you. You didn't know she was there at all, and you were utterly adoring the little cat, your touch gentle as it purred.

Taylor sees the tv being on, the animal documentary still present upon the screen. She blinks and trails her eyes back down to you, the smallest worry swelling in her heart. She knew you mostly only kept it on when you really needed it in the struggle of anxiety, or wanted comfort, but she decides to not question it for now.

The gentle rattle of some keys led you to turn and look behind you. In your vision, appears the blonde you were waiting for. You could see the softness her gaze holds, just the same as the one you held on the cat you're petting, which now had its eyes closed.

"You ready, or do we have to grab Benjamin with us?" Taylor asks, a giggle softly sounding out from her as she pushes herself away from the couch.

A bright smile quickly raises up on your face and you giggled too, moving to stand up, needing to reluctantly leave Benjamin laying on the floor, who was quite possibly descending slowly into a nap.

You bit your lip, taking one last look at Benjamin before going to your girlfriend. "...Buut...can we sneak him into the restaurant?" You ask, making your way to her. Taylor's eyes flicker from Benjamin's sleepy pose, then to you, a smile gracing her lips.

She shook her head gently, "No, baby," she chuckles, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer as she looks at the cat once more. "And he'd be more comfortable here."

You hum softly, your gaze lingering, before you bury your face in her shoulder and your arms wrap around her waist in a side hug. The nuzzle she felt was gentle, but it was one for comfort.

She stares down for a moment, unable to see your face. But her expression had faded into a gentle look of concern. A small somber hum from you like that wasn't something she could just ignore.

It couldn't be because of Benjamin, since you were usually fine with having the cats at home unless it was a big trip or vacation. But today was just a date out. And she couldn't help but let her eyes wander on the tv that showed the animals.

There were currently penguins on the screen, sliding across ice and waddling on the snow, and as much as she wanted to look at it or point it out to you, she can feel your pout in her shoulder, and she instinctively wraps her arms around you, looking down at you.

"...Hey...you okay?" she whispers softly just above your ear, her hand rubbing up and down your arm. You fiddle with her shirt, your fingers brushing across the fabric. Taylor's mind takes note of it, and she tilts her head, peeking at your eyes that didn't seem to make eye contact.

You start off in a hushed, quiet tone. "I don't know...I just feel so..." You trail off, trying to find the words to it. But there was not a single word that could describe it. You simply felt off.

Your shoulders tensed and you let out a breath. "I can't describe it." The slump in your stance against her was a clear sign of your defeat at trying to explain. Her eyes soften, and she smiles gently, her hand continuing its soothing motion.

Now, as her eyes trail over your appearance to figure out what was wrong, she starts to notice something. You were indeed missing something. Your hands were empty of any accessories you'd usually wear. Or any part of you, really.

It seems you had gotten entirely too focused on waking up and being on time for the date, that you had completely forgotten to grab your usual things. No wonder you couldn't see why you felt off. You hadn't even realized it yet.

Taylor thinks about it for a moment, but doesn't tell you just yet. Her hand on your arm goes down to your wrist, feeling it to be empty and seeing it being, yes, indeed bare of anything when she pulls back.

She breathes out a chuckle. It was simply a silly situation, but she leans down and kisses the top of your head as you look up at her, confused as to what made her huff out a laugh.

Your wireless headphones; She had seen you charge it last night, and your watch was left on the nightstand. She smiles softly, then led you to the front of the couch, having you sit down.

"Wait here," Taylor says, giving your hand a squeeze before walking off back to the bedroom, leaving you blinking at her vagueness.

You waited patiently, yet curiously, your eyes traveling to the doorway of your bedroom, but the wall was concealing what she was grabbing, so, instead you watched Benjamin sleeping until she came back.

The wooden floorboards of your home gently creaks when Taylor comes back, walking towards you with just a few footsteps, her heart light with love and care.

"Here, love," she said quietly, standing in front of you. In her hands, she reveals that she had brought you your watch, your headphones, and some...friendship bracelets?

She held your items carefully, making sure they don't fall. Your eyes widen in realization at the sight, and her smile grows wider, glad that the problem came to light easily.

"Oh...thank you," you whispered, looking up at her gratefully and grabbing them one by one, wearing your watch first, making sure it was on correctly. Not too loose, but not too tight.

She watches as you slide on the bracelets, and you notice each of them have a different tightness or heaviness to them, so you had a way of choosing which one you wanted on your wrist, or none at all, to which she didn't mind whichever you chose, only wanting you to be comfortable.

When you moved your hand, it made a light and quiet sound of the bracelets hitting each other, and you were in absolute awe, your mouth opening as you look at your wrist in surprise, then to Taylor, who giggled at the sight of you now moving your hand up and down to hear the light clinks. You had tried the bracelets before, but it was only one of them, so it wasn't much of a surprise.

She moves her hand up to the bracelets, hovering right over it as you pause your movements. She looks to you to see you smiling at her, and she continues on with her movement, her finger stretching one of the bracelets slightly, just enough so that the string keeping the beads together was visible, and she shows that you can slide the beads across the string; a small bonus fidget of sort with the accessory.

You, on the other hand gasped again. Taylor pulls her hands away, letting you try it out. The beads did slide across the string when you stretched the bracelet, and would go to whichever side you tilted it to.

Then, the headphones, she helped you by putting your hair back from your ears and placing it on your head. She makes sure it was connected to your phone afterwards, putting on some gentle music. Nothing too loud or upbeat in case it would interfere.

Taylor checks on your face, and sees how its grown brighter, your grounding items being rightfully back to where they belonged. You were adjusting things here and there, but she was happy you were feeling like yourself again.

She also had given you your earphones for a choice, just in case the headphones on your head felt like it was putting too much pressure. Your heart was almost about to burst at the amount of care and thought she gave to you.

"Feeling better?" she asks with a gentle gaze. Her hands were now on your shoulders as she smiles, hoping you can ease back into the world again.

You nodded gently, and relief flows into her that she was right. You always needed something to keep ahold of you, to steady you, and have you grounded for anything that could easily poke your nerves. Which is why you always took them off during nighttime; for the sake of letting go and to melt into being relaxed. But you forgot to put them back on this morning.

You smile back at her, speaking up again for once. "...I love you," you whispered, gently moving to pull her into a slow hug with your arms wrapped around her waist.

She feels the fuzzy loving feeling grow in herself, her arms going up to your shoulders to return the embrace. "I love you, too, sweetheart." She replied back, having just as much softness as you did. Her lips meet the top of your head in a loving kiss, hoping it'll help calm you down further.

"Are you ready to go, or do you wanna stay?" she asks softly, pulling back just slightly to look at you, her eyes searching yours in case you still felt like you needed to relax.

"It's okay if you wanna stay, love." She said quietly, caressing your cheek with the back of her hand. You were about to melt into a pool of puddle right in front of her with her touch and gentle voice.

"Of course, I'm going...its date day..." You say, and Taylor's eyes squeeze in happiness with her smile. You mirror her expression, moving up to kiss her on the cheek.

She smiles even wider and returns the gesture softly, her lips lingering before she gently pulls you up to stand next to her an lead you to the front door.

"Just tell me if you need anything else, okay?" She says, glancing back at you as you follow her. She holds the keys in her hand, ready to lock the front door once you were out and open the car.

"I will, baby," you whisper, your gaze on her gentle as you look at her with pure adoration, your heart full with love for her.

In the car, on the way to the date, You gently play with the bracelets in your passenger seat, seatbelt buckled in and Taylor driving steadily.

Taylor looks over to your side when she could, seeing the movement. She smiles softly, glad they could elicit some kind of comfort for you, especially since one of them was actually given by a fan, and one was made by her.

The date goes on without another problem, only with loving conversations and soft laughter.

seven days of comfort.

"Hold every part of yourself dear, sweetheart. Every one of them make up the version of you in the present."

Stuffed Cat Plush.

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was the late afternoon when Taylor arrives back home, the front door shutting gently with her hand. The house was quiet, and outside was growing darker with the nighttime.

Taylor looks around, breathing in the feel of home, but as her eyes search the area, you were nowhere to be found. Not in the living room, and not in the kitchen.

She takes off her shoes and sets the keys on its original place upon the hook, then look around more. Thinking, maybe you were in the bedroom, and had chosen a more comfortable spot.

When she arrives to the bedroom, she leans against the doorframe. There you were, on the bed, curled up with a cat plushie in your hand. A gentle smile raises up when she looks at you, her heart melting at the sight.

She walks towards your sleeping form and her lower lip jutted out just slightly in adoration. "Oh, baby..." her voice was a mere whisper, a breath laced with sweetness as she kneels down at the edge of the bed.

Your peacefulness was evident in your face, and she was almost afraid she'd wake you. Taylor's arms fold on the side of the bed, palms facing downwards so she can rest her jaw on her hands.

What a thing to come home to after such a long day, she thought. This was what she adored, what has her keeping her balance. You. The little things.

Her eyes trace every feature visible, everything she loved about you. And the cat plush especially, made her smile wider.

Your hand was curled around it, clutching it close to your chest as you slept. Its eyes were closed, just as yours were, as it always has been.

One of her hands slowly reach up to the cat. Of course, she knows that even though you're sleeping, it would be proven difficult to grab it out from your hold. If there was even the slightest movement, you would grip it tighter.

But she only went to stroke its head lightly, using the side of her index finger, curled up and brushing, just to feel the soft fur.

It was something she got for you long ago. The plush may be just a little ragged, and some stitches were coming loose just a bit by now, but that only shows how much its been given love, and she loves that you can find comfort in it.

The fur on its body was going in one direction, and that was one of the signs that you had possibly been going through the fur with your fingers just before you went to sleep.

Her hand trails up to your cheek, lightly brushing against your soft skin. She can feel the love pouring in her heart, beating in her chest.

Taylor leans in to lay a kiss just on the tip of your nose before she pulls herself back, about to stand up and go to the bathroom to shower, but one small movement from you makes her freeze.

You started to stir, holding your plush tighter before awakening. She watches as your eyes flutter open, blinking away the lingering darkness.

As you adjust back into reality, you realize the figure standing in front of you, and your voice comes out, husky and still engulfed in sleep. "...Tay?"

She smiles softly, seeing your misty eyes meet her blue ones, and she leans back down, still kneeled beside you. "Yeah, sweetheart...I'm home," she whispered, keeping her voice quiet and soft.

You feel her hand gently meet yours in a reassuring embrace, and you let out a gentle breath of relief, having wondered if she was actually there or you were dreaming.

When her hand goes up to your cheek, you lean into the touch, looking up at her with a sleepy lovestruck look. You traced the outline of her eyes before looking into them. Her eyes were so pretty. They were starry as they looked back into yours, like the ocean reflecting the galaxies; simply glimmering with safety, and love.

Her smile widens as she feels the adoration within your gaze, and she leans in to kiss between your cheek and your nose. You crinkled the bridge of your nose, which only made her heartrate faster.

A yawn escapes through your mouth though, and you try to close it with your hand. Taylor purses her lips, although the corners were lifted in a smile that she tried to hide, seeing you being adorable.

"...You got a nice nap?" She asks with the same volume, pushing your hair back gently. Her soft breath was like a feather, tickling your skin lightly as she slowly pulls back.

"Mmhm..." You nod, humming softly as you hold your cat plush closer to your chest, your eyelids falling heavy as you blinked sleepily. She stifles a small giggle, which came out ever so slightly, but you didn't mind or even notice at all.

"Yeah...? Who's this keeping you company?" She whispers, keeping her voice hushed. You blink at her, then you notice that she was looking at the stuffed cat in your hands.

"The plushie you gave me..." You whisper, a light pink flushing over your cheeks as you cuddle closer into it. Her happiness was visible in her eyes, how it squeezed with love, joined in with her smile.

When you saw her hand reaching out, you loosened your grip and let her carefully stroke the fur of your cat plush. She lightly pets the head once she was satisfied, silently thanking it for keeping you comforted and peaceful, and you were grateful at how gentle she seemed to be.

"You look so cute, all cuddled up with it like that." She says. If she wanted to be completely honest, she had the extreme urge to squeeze you, her hands nearly coming up in a frustrated gesture, but she held herself back and kissed your cheek instead.

You giggle, leaning in again to steal a kiss on the lips rather than anywhere else, your skin tingling with all the kisses she's given you before.

"Mind if I join this cuddling session?" Taylor asks, standing up properly and looking down at you. You smile and nod in acceptance, having been hoping she'd join you in bed, even though you've been laying there for hours.

Taylor rounds the bed to get to her side, and you feel the bed dip as she joins you, shuffling closer to you once she put her arm around you.

You lean back against her before deciding to turn around and face her instead. She lets you snuggle into the crook of her neck your plushie in between the both of you.

She sighs softly and slowly in contentment, nuzzling gently into your hair. It was as if only the two of you existed in the world, just in this small moment.

Her eyes fall to a shut. She could feel the warmthness the space holds, and all her worries of her work and life fades away, carried by the fuzzy feeling in her chest. It was all she's ever wanted. To be home, with you.

"Tay," she hears you whisper, and her eyes open slightly again, a questioned hum coming gently from her throat.

You smiled as you saw her, it was as if you can see the tenseness in her dissipate and melt away within your cuddle. But you were holding your cat plush in front of her, as an offer of comfort.

She chuckles, "...Thank you..." Her voice was barely a whisper as her hand took it, and she snuggled it close to her chest. You watched as she leaned down, laying a gentle kiss to its head.

"But you should have it," she says, placing it back into your arms, and you look at her for a moment before she had wrapped her arm around you again.

"I just want you, and cuddles, baby..." she murmurs, smiling softly as she goes to tenderly press a kiss on your cheek.

You felt a warmth raising on your face and in your heart, but accepting what she needed. Your own arm return the embrace, going around the centre of her body as your other one kept itself on your plushie.

She lovingly kisses the side of your head, not minding at all to simply spend time with you like this. Even with your little friend joined in. She could stay like this forever.

Her legs go around yours, absolutely taking you entirely, and the smallest giggle escapes you. But once you grow quiet and settle down, your mind ends up wandering in thought. Taylor looks down, her upper body leaning back just slightly to look at you properly, gazing with love.

“...Why do you love me so much?” You ask suddenly, curiously, and although it was a casual tone, it held the slightest hint of vulnerability. One of your hands reached up, fiddling with her necklace with a gentle touch.

Taylor blinks for a second, trying to process if she heard you correctly, but then chuckles softly, her hand resting on your waist. "You silly baby," she says lovingly. She gently takes your hand that found her necklace and presses a kiss to it. "How can I explain... I love every little thing about you..."

She whispers, then her eyes trail to your stuffed cat. "You know, I love that you take comfort from the smallest things. Its so sweet." She tells you, her hand reaching out to gently touch one of your stuffed cat's legs, wiggling it slightly.

You smile, then nuzzle into her chest. "I love you..." you murmur, but to her, it was loud and clear, especially with your loving gesture. You then turn your face out from her chest, which made her melt.

Taylor smiles back at you, her eyes bright with happiness and adoration. She leans in to gently kiss your lips, a soft whisper of love escaping her lungs. "I love you, too, sweetheart."

"More than words can express," she whispers, like a dear promise that she'll hold onto for the rest of her life.

seven days of comfort.

“I apologize, for all the times I never speak up, but I fear of what you'll truly think, for my world could collapse in the fate of words."

Social Events & Crowded Rooms.

"...But take my hand anyway, darling. I'll give you all the assurance you'll ever need, and whisper my sweet words down your ear in hopes you'll be in relief."

——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————

It was a huge room. Tables positioned in a rightful manner, yet people's bodies still brushing and colliding with each other. The stage held the performers who had been chosen for the award show, doing their specials.

You were sat beside Taylor, in the front row. Either watching the performances, or talking to people. But it was more of Taylor, doing the talking as you quietly accompanied her.

You weren't used to these types of events. Not just yet. But being social wasn't one of your strong suit either, so you were at a low chance of surviving a night like this.

The lights were bright as you shifted in the uncomfortable plastic chair. The stage lights especially, sending colors that make the entire room turn red, blue, purple, or any other color.

Honestly, you couldn't tell if a headache was growing on you, if you were dizzy, or overstimulated by the amount of things happening in your surroundings.

It shouldn't be this hard. a performance, bright lights, people, and conversations. Just four things. You named them in your head once again. But still, it felt like too many things.

You bit your lip, trying to either look to the floor or focus on the drink in your hand. Taylor was moving animatedly on the chair next to you, her back facing towards you.

You wanted to tell her, maybe just gain some reassurance, or possibly get a chance to go home, but she seemed like she was having so much fun in the meanwhile. Of course, you wouldn't want to risk ruining her night just because you couldn't brave the atmosphere of a party.

You blinked and shook your head for a moment, just to get rid of the sinking feeling that you were losing your resolve.

Honestly, it seemed as if the whole world was starting to fall apart. All that was left on your mind was to go home, and it was eating away at your heart.

You sighed. At least you weren't standing up. You were sure that if you are, you would've gone into a spiral already.

Beside you, you hear the soft and familiar giggle of your girlfriend, laughing at something that her best friend, Selena, had said. You were glad it was Selena there. Plus, you felt safer with her than a stranger or another one of Taylor's friends you didn't know, but the setting of the situation wasn't ideal.

You were looking off to some celebrities talking to each other when Taylor settles back down on her seat and turns to look at you, your hand on your other arm, moving up and down.

Her face softens, a look reserved for only you as she gazes at your expression that seems somewhat troubled. You didn't even really seem focused on who's who, just spacing out a lot. Concern swirls in her heart, and she leans closer to you.

"Hey," Taylor whispers, getting your attention quickly since she was close to you, and you turn your head, seeing her gentle blue eyes that made everything else fade away, just a little.

"You okay?" she asks, her hand reaching up to rub your back. You were hesitant, but then nod gently. Taylor bit her own lip. She wasn't convinced, but she only remembers to take a note of you for now.

"Just tell me if you need anything, okay?" she says softly, looking into your eyes so you knew how much she meant about it, and wanted to care for you.

You nod once more, trying to give her a small smile. She returns it, hoping to give you some reassurance. But now another singer had come onstage, and she had to focus back onto it, especially since it was one that she was close to.

Her hand was still on your back, and at times she points things out in the performance to make you giggle or mesmerized. It worked at some times, but she can see the faltering of her plan. The people who approached her also didn't really help as she tried to keep a side task of having you grounded either.

The room was so cold, even crossing your arms didn't work in helping. She knew herself, even with a coat on, it was far too cold at this party. The slight shiver in your body could be felt beneath her hand, and she decides to take off her coat, her arms slipping out to give to you instead.

You were surprised at her sudden silent offer, not wanting to simply take it since she could get just as cold as you, but then she lightly pushes it closer to you in the air.

With a blush on your cheeks, you take it, putting your arms in the armholes, and letting it wrap around your body, almost instantly warming you up.

You lean back in your seat, your hands in the pocket of Taylor's coat, and she lets you lean against her as she watches the stage performances. Her hand trails down to wrap around your waist, gently pulling you closer to her.

You try to let yourself relax a little, maybe even live a little, because, it was a party after all, but you just couldn't. There were too many people. Through your headphones and the music, still, you can hear the mixed conversations making the space loud. Or maybe you were imagining it to be louder than it should be. You couldn't tell anymore, and the night was getting late.

You stared at the stage for a bit, seeing the sparks and all the props, with the band playing their instruments. But then your eyes trail off to Taylor, who only had her side profile in view as she watched.

This was your chance. She was there, close to you, and no one else had her attention other than the show that only played for the crowd.

You gently dig your fingers in the hem of your shirt, letting the fabric wrap around your hand, taking a breath in. Then, you lean in to her shoulder.

"Tay..." you whisper out, and she just barely heard it, but with your body pressed closer into her side, she turns to look down at you. She feels your arm move to wrap around her, and her instincts to care for you rise up.

"What's wrong, baby?" she asks softly, but the right volume to come through all the noise. You also went to look at her lips, reading what she said just a little.

"can..." you manage to utter out one small word, but then your teeth sinks into your lower lip and you divert your gaze away from her.

Your courage to tell her was fading, but you had already gotten her attention in a concerning way, so you couldn't back out now.

You were getting dizzy at the amount of people walking around as your eyes travel around the area. It was getting worse and you may be too late. Taylor's hand gently comes up to cup your cheek, giving a small warmth.

"Baby...focus on me," she whispers, encouraging you to look at her as her other hand comes up to hold your other cheek, thumbs brushing against your skin.

When she sees you capture her set of soft eyes, she nods and gives you a reassuring smile. Once you take an anxious breath in though, she moves to gently pull you into an embrace.

"You're okay...It's okay," she slowly and calmly whispers her soft words into your ear, her cheek feeling the brush of your hair as she rubbed your back.

You buried your face into her chest, squeezing your eyes shut as you finally got some sort of comfort. Taylor could feel your arms tighten around her, and her heart aches as she realizes you might have been on the brink of breaking longer than she thought.

"Shh...we'll go back home," she says quietly, her eyes taking a quick look around for a path of exit. She could see some of the eyes upon her and you, but she didn't mind it at all, only wanting to comfort you.

"I'm sorry..." you mumble, slightly muffled by how you had yourself within her embrace, and you were crumbling, hoping to everything she wasn't mad. But her gentle arms holding you together was everything but mad.

"No, don't apologize, sweetheart...its not your fault." She shook her head, then pulled back slightly, seeing your eyes that only had the look of vulnerability, and she had to take a breath in herself to not straight up just carry you out the party building.

"Stay close," she says as she looks into your eyes, taking your hand to lay a soft kiss on the back. "We're gonna get out of here, baby..."

She makes sure you're able to walk with her as she moves to stand up, her hand now intertwined with yours. Just as she was going to take a step forward, Selena had seen the two of you, giving a concerned glance.

"Is everything okay?" She asks, leaned forward with her legs crossed, her hand on her knees. She was worried about you especially, knowing you weren't one to partake in events like these.

Taylor purses her lips and gives her a slight smile, keeping you close to her as she saw the groups of people walking near. "I need to take Y/N home..." she explains, and she can see the way Selena's face softens when her eyes trailed off to you, seeing the state you were in.

"You should take the back door. There's less paparazzi there," Selena says, nodding towards where it was, hiding in almost the mere corner, a double door that didn't have an exit sign.

Taylor looks to it, then back to her best friend, forever grateful as she nods to her. "Thank you," she replies, now walking towards the back exit.

A distant and soft "Take care of yourselves!" was heard from Selena, and Taylor smiles softly while your heart lightened just slightly.

When you arrive to the backdoor, Taylor gives your hand a small and gentle squeeze, looking to you to see if you were ready. Then, she opens the door, walking out with you in the small camera flashes.

You hid yourself just slightly with her shoulder, and she keeps her confident look, protectively keeping you close to her as she aims for the nearby limo ready for you both, her security guards also there to guarantee both of your safety.

Thankfully, it wasn't a long distance, so you and Taylor get in the car safely, the door closing with a gentle shut, and the outside noise quieted down.

She lets out a slow sigh of relief, starting to feel the world loosen down a little. Then, she turns to you, who was moving your fingers into a fist and then releasing them, trying to take breaths to calm down.

Taylor gazes at you softly, and her hand goes around your shoulder as she leaned down to lay a gentle kiss on the side of your head.

She can feel your beating heart twice as fast once she wrapped both her arms around you. "Take deep breaths, sweetheart..." she whispers quietly, hoping her thumb gently rubbing on your shoulder was comforting.

Soon, she hears a shaky inhale from you, the sound of it making her heart clench, but she nods encouragingly, taking her own deep breath to help you follow through with a slow exhale.

The car had started moving forward, going towards your house as you started to calm down with each breath. Taylor leans her head against yours, the exhaustion in your bodies obvious.

Orange street lights passes by, and the cool night air with the gleaming sidewalks make it all the more colder. It had rained a while ago, yet the party had gone on.

She turns her head, kissing just atop your head softly. "Lets go home...and then we can spend our night cozily in bed, yeah?" she whispers, leaning back to look at you adoringly.

You nod gently, a sigh escaping your mouth as you close your eyes. But it wasn't like you could fall asleep in a car easily, especially after the night you had.

So, you open your eyes again, taking in the view of the window, or the way Taylor's arm was around you.

After a moment, you reach up, gently taking one of her hands to fiddle with, and she watches you, seeing how you took a small interest to the bracelet she was currently wearing.

It was shiny, and a golden color, holding the logo of her new album. But your interest fizzled away once you move her fingers one by one, or traced the lines on her palm.

Taylor intertwines your fingers, moving it up to her lips so she could lay a loving kiss against the back of your hand. Your eyes watched, and a flush crosses over your face that made her giggle.

She rests her cheek ever so slightly against your intertwined hands, looking to you as her thumb caressed your knuckles.

By the time a few seconds passed by after the gestures of love and care, the car arrives to your shared home, and Taylor looks to the window.

She reaches over to the side, opening the car door so the both of you could go out, and you follow her, hands still intertwined.

The car door was shut, and the limo had driven away, having done its job of sending the both of you home safely.

When you arrive at the front porch, Taylor looks for the house keys in her pockets, but when she didn't find it, a small panic arose in her.

You blinked at her, seeing the way her movements held a little urgency, but then she froze, as if a realization came over her, and she checks the pocket of her coat, which you were currently wearing.

You let her fish out the keys, and she sighs a huge breath of relief, turning to insert it into the keyhole. You smile softly, and lean against her side as she opened the door.

The house was quiet as you both entered, only the sound of the door shutting and keys rattling echoing through the living room. It was all filled by dim lighting, a cozy atmosphere of a home for the two of you, and it was exactly how you loved it. This was the place where you could wind down, rest all your energy at.

Taylor smiles down at you when she sees your slight relaxation at the present feeling of home, and her hands go up your arm before she leads you to the bedroom.

The door creaks when she lightly pushes it open, a clear sign of its age, but also a sign of how many times you both had come and gone out the room.

She closes the door behind her before she settles you to sit down on the bed. As much as she wanted to let you rest with your heavy eyes, Taylor knew it was best to change into some more comfy clothes.

You felt the soft mattress welcome your body back, and you simply watch as Taylor grabbed your clothes, walking back to you with them in hand.

She sets them down beside you before looking at you questionably, as if one for permission. In your tiredness, you give a light nod, and her eyes soften.

You let her help with changing your clothes, feeling the warmthness covering your body. When you look down, you notice the sweater was one of hers, and the corners of your lips raise up.

She gets finished changing into her own t-shirt and sweatpants, and then goes into bed with you, scooting to her side as you went to yours.

The covers gently get pulled up by her, warming up both of your bodies easily. But, of course, she went to cuddle you, arms wrapped around you as you settle in bed.

You lean into her, nuzzling into her chest and breathing in her scent. All of everything from today, washing away.

She could see how much you practically wanted to curl up into a ball, which, you were seemingly very close to. Her arms pull you even closer, wanting nothing but for you to feel loved and cared for.

"Its okay..." she says quietly, feeling the small restlessness your body held. She traces gentle patterns on your back, and a sigh of contentment left her own lips.

Taylor moves just slightly to softly kiss the side of your head, whispering sweet nothings to let your heart rest in a steady rhythm. "Nothing's gonna hurt you while I'm here."

You were overwhelmed. That was for sure. But now in this moment, you can feel the love radiating from her, and all you wanted was some much needed rest.

"You're safe, sweetheart..." Her voice sounds out through the night in a gentle tone, one for you and only you. She slowly closes her own eyes when she saw yours falling to a shut, feeling you sink into a deep slumber.
