Andi’s nose scrunched up a bit as the blonde talked. Booooy, did she sound a lot like her twin. A complete and utter ray of romantic sunshine. “Life must be really nice with those rose-tinted glasses on, huh?” Andi asked, don’t get her wrong. She was a smidge more romantic than she had been when she was younger because of her girlfriend. Before meeting Nina, Andi was a complete cynic about many things. her outlook on life had gotten brighter since dating Nina but she still was her spitfire self regardless. “Yeah, it’s a real special day. So I don’t crush your spirits I assure you my parents cultivate love everyday. It’s nauseating sometimes.” she replied. “As many as you like. They bake…a lot. Oh? you’re gifting me with an idea. Happy birthday to me. Shit, yeah, let’s hear it.”

       THE OTHER GIRL’S COMMENT  on rose - tinted glasses made a tight - lipped smile appear on the blonde’s lips ,  gaze briefly dropping to her feet .  ❝  ... it is pretty nice ,  yes .  it makes things more exciting .  ❞  something rosalie firmly believed in .  sure ,  maybe she was a little overly optimistic ,  a little too romantic ,  a little too much at times ,  but still .  she didn’t know any other way to be ,  &  being this way made her happy .  chuckling ,  she shook her head at the stranger ,  ❝  don’t worry ,  my  spirits  aren’t crushed !  i know not everyone sees things the way i do ,  that’s perfectly fine .  also ...  what if i bought, let’s say,  twenty  of your cupcakes ?  ❞  lifting her brows ,  rosalie raised her palms lightly ,  as if telling the other to wait before freaking out ,  ❝  but instead of giving them all to me ,  you can give them to whoever you want ,  stranger or not !  or we could split the amount  &  do that ,  too .  it just seems like a  good idea ,  something nice to do for anyone who might be having a bad day .  ❞

“Y-yeah.” Was it disappointing that it was him? Austin wouldn’t have blamed her if it was. Out of everyone in the carnival she had been paired up with him. Positive. He had to think about this in a positive light. It was hard for someone who mind was constantly filled with worry but with a deep breathe he pushed his anxiety aside as much as he could. When he finally got out of his head, Austin could see the blonde was blushing. It caused a blush of his own to creep up. “Rose. Okay…it’s n-nice to meet you, Rose.” He took her hand to shake, giving a small smile. Was that good idea? what if his hand was clammy? that’d be embarrassing. “Yeah. Let’s go. I-I think so. that’s how this works. It might’ve been one of my nieces or nephews. They’re…t-they’d do something like this.” He let out a small chuckle. “Whoever sent it i’m glad they did. We both get to experience the tunnel.”

           ❝  IT’S VERY NICE  to meet you ,  too !  ❞  there was honesty in her words ,  a firm nod confirming what she’d said .  perhaps he wasn’t accustomed to people as outgoing as rosalie ,  maybe they made him feel a bit intimidated ,  but she hoped it wasn’t the case this time .  if anything ,  the blonde was very glad he seemed like a good guy ,  &  not someone weird or dangerous that would cause her mother to come running away the way from the other side of the carnival .  rose was well familiar with the warnings about strangers ,  yet this one seemed sweet  ---  &  she already knew his name !  as the girl made her way towards their boat ,  she raised her eyebrows curiously ,  ❝  nieces or nephews ?  you must have a huge family ...  is it fun ?  i’ve always imagine big families to be so .  ❞  she noted with a giggle ,  shoulders giving a light shrug .  rose loved her family dearly ,  but she did wish it didn’t always feel as though it was her  &  her mother against the world .  when austin commented on the tunnel ,  she nodded her head again ,  ❝  i agree .  i was a bit scared i wouldn’t get to experience it ,  if i’m honest .  i guess i could have asked one of my friends but ,  well ...  i didn’t want to be a bother .  though i suppose that means i’ll just be bothering you instead ,  ❞  she pointed out with a small laugh ,  a light flush of pink appearing on her cheeks .

If looks could kill Sage was committing straight up murder, in her opinion and experience love was only something you said about a colour or your favourite win. Soul mates? Nope. Not for the Bartholomew’s at least, her father had 4 children with 3 different women and was still alone, nope the entire thing was a disgusting and unfortunate ruse to make people feel satisfied and populate the earth. “Key word there obviously being heard. People only talk about the good stuff.” Sage stuffed her hand into the bag taking out a clump of the spun sugar and popped it into her mouth. “Thanks..” she almost whispered, after all she had a reputation of being a hard ass to uphold. “I came with my brother.. he’s off chasing skirts. You?”

           ❝  BUT YOU CAN’T HAVE  good stuff with a few bumps in between ,  right ?  i think most thinks in life are like that ...  ❞   her voice becomes quieter at the end of the sentence ,  feeling rather intimidated by the look in the other girl’s face .  rosalie wasn’t one to judge ,  but still ;  the other blonde was quite scary ,  to say the least .  maybe she shouldn’t press on the subject of love ,  save this topic for juliet instead .  a small grin replaces the hesitation on rose’s expression when her companion accepts the cotton candy ,  almost as if a bit of relief fills her heart as well .  when hearing about the other girl’s brother ,  she can’t help giggling a bit ,  eyes rolling at the thought ,  ❝  is he  that  kind of guy ?  geez ,  that’s just sad ...  hopefully he doesn’t give you too much of a headache !  oh ,  i came alone ,  but my best friend is here so i don’t feel too lonely .  it would be a shame to feel  depressed  on valentines day .  ❞

         TO SAY ROSE HADN’T BEEN EXPECTING  an invitation to the tunnel of love would be an understatement .  other than perhaps juliet ,  who was her very best friend in the entire world ,  the blonde couldn’t really think of anyone who would want to hang out with her on the ride ,  yet it seemed someone’s interest had been peeked .  somehow .  maybe there was some sort of magic in this world that the princess wasn’t quite familiar with ?  as she approached the tunnel of love ,  bright eyes studying it as if it were one of the prettiest things she’d ever seen  (  &  it was ) ,  rose started looking around for anyone who might’ve been able to help her find austin ,  whoever they were .  eventually ,  her eyes landed on someone .  ❝  excuse me ,  hello ,  ❞  the princess greeted the stranger with a smile  &  a nod ,  ❝  happy valentines day .  i’m very sorry to bother you ,  but i’m looking for someone named austin beamer ...  would you happen to know them or where i can find them ?  ❞  🌹   @wallyaxiom​
