NALA  HAD  BEEN  making  her  rounds .  as  the  air  cleared  and  so  did  the  rubble ,  the  atmosphere  finally  feeling  somewhat  safe ,  she  found  her  way  around  the  city  to  check  on  her  friends .  with  consistency ,  she  showed  up  to  various  front  doors ,  so  far  ,  to  george’s  and  meg’s ,  with  a  bottle  of  wine  in  hand  and  a  couple  hours  of  catching  up  in  her  system ,  she  walked  up  to  aurora’s  door ,  just  as  she  had  the  others ,  and  rapped  on  the  door  three  times :  knock .  knock  knock .  this  time ,  she  had  moscato . 

❝   rora  ,  are  you  in  there ?  it’s  just  me .  ❞   she  called  through  the  door  as  she  knocked .  hopefully  she  wasn’t  interrupting  anything .

            THOUGH AURORA WAS ,  IN HER OWN WAY ,  still  healing  from  the  events  that  plagued  the  town ,  she  blonde  found  herself  slowly  yet  surely  getting  better .  there  were  still  many  people  she  wanted  to  check  on  and  ensure  their  safety ,  but  the  princess  found  herself  less  and  less  anxious  as  she  came  to  realization  that  if  something  tragic  had  happened ,  she  would  have  heard  of  it  by  now .  still ,  it  didn’t  mean  she  wasn’t  worried .

            and  so ,  upon  hearing  a  familiar  voice  on  the  other  side  of  her  door ,  the  blonde  instantly  brightened  her  spirits  and  rushed  to  open  for  her  friend .   ❝  nala !  come  in ,  please ,  ❞  she  beckoned  with  a  gentle  smile .  ❝  i  apologize  for  the  mess ,  it’s  been  difficult  for  us  all  i  think ...  how  are  you  holding  up ,  dear ?  ❞  a  pause ,  ❝  is  that  wine  i  see ?  ❞

             rosalie  charmont  was  born  90  seconds  after  her  brother ,  seth ,  and  it  was  almost  as  if  she’d  stayed  hidden  the  whole  time  until  then .  she  was  just  a  tad  bit  smaller  than  him ,  yet  the  moment  she  came  out  of  her  mother’s  womb ,  the  little  princess  made  sure  people  knew  she’d  arrived .  of  all  three ,  she  was  the  loudest ,  the  one  who  cried  the  most ,  though  the  whole  family  saw  it  as  a  good  thing .  strong  lungs  for  a  strong  little  girl .

             as  expected  of  a  princess ,  rose  grew  up  kind  and  well - mannered ,  the  picture  of  grace  and  elegance ,  having  been  gifted  with  beauty ,  a  wonderful  voice  and  a  persevering  heart .  she  would  spend  her  days  learning  history ,  languages ,  math ,  the  piano ,  the  flute ,  ballet ,  ballroom  dancing  and  at  night ,  she  would  listen  to  her  mother’s  stories  about  growing  up  in  the  woods ,  and  how  she  and  her  father  met .  naturally ,  the  girl  grew  up  a  romantic ,  except  she  had  a  very  idealized  view  of  romance .  rosalie  has  always  been  in  love  with  love ,  but  it  is  her  kind  of  love . 

             as  the  princess  grew  older ,  she  started  sleepwalking  almost  every  night ,  which  instantly  alerted  the  whole  family .  it  wasn’t  uncommon  to  spot  her  sleeping  by  the  flowers  when  morning  came  or  even  in  some  less  pleasant  places ,  like  the  dining  table  or  on  the  couch .  her  parents  feared  that  her  sleepwalking  might  have  had  something  to  do  with  maleficent ,  but  it  didn’t  seem  to  be  the  case .  either  way ,  it  was  just  something  for  them  to  keep  an  eye  on ,  an  extra  reason  for  concern  if  you  will ,  for  more  she  grew  up ,  so  did  her  desire  for  adventure .  she  didn’t  want  to  spend  her  life  hiding  from  danger  like  her  mother  did ,  and  promised  herself  that  she  would  always  be  free  no  matter  what .  

unlike  most  of  the  charmonts ,  rose  loves  being  a  princess .  she  thinks  it  makes  her  all  the  more  entitled  to  having  everything  she  wants ,  except  she  rarely  ever  knows  what  it  is  that  she  desires .  still ,  there  are  days  where  she  wishes  she  could  just  not  have  any  duties  or  responsabilities  at  all ,  nor  a  title  or  anything  else .  even  so ,  she  knows  she  has  it  easier  than  liam ,  who  is  perfect  king  material .

speaking  of  liam  and  kingliness ,  rosalie  definitely  isn’t  opposed  to  sticking  her  nose  into  other  people’s  business  ---  especially  her  brother’s.  with  liam ,  she  is  constantly  trying  to  figure  out  what  he’s  thinking ,  what  his  plans  are ,  and  how  she  can  interfere  with  them ;  for  the  better ,  of  course .  though  she  trusts  her  brother  with  her  whole  heart ,  she  likes  to  think  he  lacks  a  certain  je  ne  sais  quoi  sometimes ,  and  that’s  where  she  comes  in .  nevertheless ,  she  has  a  lot  of  faith  in  liam  and  is  always  cheering  him  on .

seth ,  on  the  other  hand ,  is  what  rose  likes  to  think  of  as  an  extension  of  her  being .  she  will  often  joke  about  how  he  could  probably  read  her  mind  if  he  tried  hard  enough ,  which  would  probably  be  a  double  edged  sword  as  she  doesn’t  always  want  him  in  her  business ,  but  refuses  not  to  know  what’s  going  on  in  his  world .  she  loves  hearing  about  his  misadventures  in  love  and  reading  his  poetry ,  but  would  send  a  whole  army  after  whoever  breaks  her  twin’s  heart  if  she  didn’t  know  any  better .  she  tells  him  everything ,  and  feels  lucky  to  call  herself  his  twin .

because  rosalie  is  extra  as  heck  likes  to  be  different  from  her  brother’s ,  she  decided  she  wanted  to  learn  how  to  fight  with  a  rapier  instead  of  a  regular  sword .  originally ,  she  wanted  to  learn  how  to  use  a  bow  and  arrow ,  but  that  idea  was  quickly  scratched  out  after  she  nearly  knocked  liam  off  his  horse .   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

she  can  be  very  dramatic ,  but  only  because  she’s  protective  of  her  loved  ones .  in  reality ,  she’s  a  huge  softy  who  is  fairly  naïve  and  just  wants  everyone  to  be  okay .

is  always  singing .  always .  she’d  be  an  opera  singer  if  she  could ,  or  any  kind  of  singer  really .  legit  used  to  perform  at  family  gatherings  and  still  does  from  time  to  time .

likes  to  tell  people  she’s  actually  a  rose  who  was  enchanted  by  a  fairy  and  became  human .  she  is  not  here  okay  miss  rose  is  in  her  own  little  world .

“You know, there might be something you can do…”

Daisy stepped down off the ladder, swinging the hammer light in her hand as she looked for the words to translate what had only been the barest beginnings of a thought. “My store… it’s only one of many. So many businesses and homes here in town are going to need help getting up and running again… what if there was a way to raise money? I was thinking fashion show… I’m hoping I can scavenge some pieces together, I know some other up and coming designers - I could use some volunteers? Models, accountants, stagehands… whatever you feel comfortable with.“

It was out of her mouth and now it must be done. The idea might evolve, change shape to best fit all the facts still to come, but she would put together an event. She would bring help to the city that had welcomed her in.

She broke out of her thoughts to look back Aurora’s way. “Don’t apologize for potentially being shaken.” Daisy corrected gently. “There are things to apologize for - not being completely chill after monsters destroy the town is not one of them.” 

“The world is… sadly full of shitty people… and gods… would I kick their ass if I saw them in the streets? Of course. On sight… but thankfully, our town is strong. We will get through it, we will come back - and if I don’t get the chance to kick their ass personally, we’ll do it as a community.”

            LISTENING AS THE WOMAN SPOKE ABOUT  her  idea ,  aurora  found  herself  growing  excited  as  she  heard  more  and  more  about  the  plan .  while  the  princess  had  never  seen  a  real  life  fashion  show ,  she  thought  it  was  a  wonderful  and  fun  idea ,  one  that  was  sure  to  mobilize  the  entire  town .  aurora  had  no  experience  in  the  fashion  business ;  in  fact  ,  she  had  no  experience  with  any  sort  of  business ,  but  that  wouldn’t  stop  her  from  participating  in  such  a  noble  project .

              ❝  i  think  that  is  an  excellent  idea !  i  must  admit  i  have  no  experience  with  these  things  but  like  i  said ,  i’ll  do  whatever  you  need  me  to ;  modelling ,  accounting ,  anything  at  all .  i’m  sure  my  husband  would  also  love  to  participate ,  and  i  have  friends  who  would  be  willing  to  land  a  hand  as  well !  ❞  not  to  mention  the  whole  thing  sounded  like  a  good  way  to  distract  her  mind  from  troublesome  thoughts  such  as  maleficent .

              with  daisy’s  reassurance ,  aurora  gave  a  small  nod .  ❝  right ,  right .  i  just ...  i  wish  i  could  be  happy  all  the  time ,  not  for  my  own  sake  but  for  those  around  me .  i  know  it’s  impossible  to  wish  such  a  thing  but  still ... ❞

             smiling  at  her  friend’s  determination ,  the  princess  giggled .  ❝  you’re  right ,  our  town  is  strong .  it’s  been  here  for  us  and  now  is  our  chance  to  give  back ,  to  restore  it  to  it’s  glory .  it  may  take  a  little  while ,  but  i  have  faith  in  our  community .  there’s  a  lot  of  good  in  elias ,  enough  to  overcome  any  bad  situation .  ❞
