Btw, haven't mentioned it yet, but I have actually been using Zan Evolution Butouden for making Shun rather than any basic M.U.G.E.N screenpack, purely because the current one I have downloaded is too big for my brother's laptop to run. I'm probably gonna try and download a simpler one, soon, but for now at least I can have my character fight against the roster.

Did more Shun stuff today (I've been going to the library every day it's open, lol). I've actually reached the point where I'm ahead in my coding now; I can't really add anything new to her until I make more sprites.
Some of the new things that have been added are: two special moves; her Shang Xian Yue and Er Qi Jiao (I actually added Er Qi Jiao yesterday, then completely recoded it today), her heavy punch + an alternate version when done after light punch (it's too slow to combo normally, so it skips a few frames. I actually added this version entirely in Notepad, lol), a taunt/intro animation, and a few extra alternate colours.

My Shun M.U.G.E.N character... might be ready for release now?
She's not, like, complete complete – far from it – but I was thinking, as this is my first ever character, that I might release some sort of early, demo version of the character, and then use feedback or advice for the full character? I'm not sure if this is a particularly common thing that M.U.G.E.N creators do – I've not really got much experience with this – but I thought it sounded like a good idea...
Of course, I also need to find some way to actually share the character. I'm not sure what the usual method is, so if anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
I forgot to mention this earlier, but I've now set up a YouTube channel for my M.U.G.E.N stuff! I just uploaded my first video today:

The library may be closed for weekends, but I am still updating my Shun M.U.G.E.N character! Editing characters is quite a bit harder on Notepad than it is on Fighter Factory, but I managed to make the changes I wanted!
First off, I changed her back dash yet again; while Kung Fu Man's back dash was a short hop that you could do aerials out of, I made Shun's more like a backwards slide, which was closer to what I wanted, but looked a little stiff. So I changed it back to the hop, with two modifications: she stays a lot closer to the ground now, and the ability to do aerials from it is removed.
I've also changed the input of her stance move, Luo Bu. Originally, it was down and both kick buttons, but I was finding it hard to pull off without accidentally doing her crouch kicks, so I changed it to down twice, then a single kick. The move can also now be cancelled into from her normals, and I also fixed a bug where she would softlock upon winning a round while in Luo Bu – she now leaves the stance as soon as her enemy is K.O'd.
As a much more minor addition, I added her win quotes! She has five, which I think is the standard, and I feel like I encapsulated her personality quite well in them. I also added a unique, character-specific win quote against another character (not one that I've made, obv.), but that was mostly to see if I knew how (I do 😎).
(No screenshots this time around, as most of the changes aren't really visual. I don't even know if it's possible to add new sprites to a character without Fighter Factory, lol.)
