Artichoke Dye And Some Other Stuff That Can Be Used To Make It!Artichokes Are A Plant Found In Warm,

Artichoke dye and some other stuff that can be used to make it! Artichokes are a plant found in warm, humid biomes as a thistle flower. These flowers can be brewed into the new Potion of Thorns - basically Thorns enchanted armor as a status effect.

Peeling back the flower will give you the artichoke, which can be turned into artichoke dye, planted as an artichoke crop, or peeled back further to get artichoke hearts. These are edible on their own or can be crafted into either a Breakfast Porkchop (Porkchop, egg and artichoke hearts) or Artichoke Lamb (mutton, sweet berries and artichoke hearts).

The other main addition of this dye is the Waxcap Mushroom, a green mushroom generating in humid, dark areas like lush caves or jungles. When broken, they will drop their mushroom wax, which is an alternative to bee's wax. If bonemealed, they can grow into a huge Waxcap Mushroom which has bits of the wax hanging off of it, and can be broken apart to gain more Waxcaps.

Vermilion Dye, Vermillion Flower, Rust Fungi And Vinnibar!

Vermilion dye, vermillion flower, rust fungi and vinnibar!

Vermillion flowers grow in temperate regions, like plains and forests. They are the most common way to find a source of Vermilion dye.

There's also the Rust Fungus, found deep in caves, which will rust any iron block placed in it's vicinity. You are able to scrape the rust off these blocks to not only restore them but obtain the rust, which can be crafted into a block or combined with water to create vermilion dye.

Rusty iron trapdoors and doors have a unique redstone capability - upon receiving a pulse, there is a 50% chance that they actually open or not. Basically a randomizer in-game!

Finally, there's Vinnibar - a new ore found in the Nether that functions similar to a bookshelf when placed next to an enchantment table. This can also be grinded down into Vermilion dye.

Shamrock Dye, Clovers, And Spinach!

Shamrock dye, clovers, and spinach!

Clovers can be found in many biomes, and function similarly to pink petals in placement. Very rarely when broken they can drop a four-leaf clover, which can be brewed into a new potion.

Spinach is found in more mountainous regions, and is a new crop plant. You can use it to craft many different varieties of salad, with carrots, beetroot and chicken. When you combine 6 spinach and 3 golden carrots, you can create an item that allows you to brew a Strength 3 potion.

Indigo Dye, Indigofera Flower, Logwood, And Woad Flowers!

Indigo dye, Indigofera flower, Logwood, and Woad flowers!

The Indigofera flower is found rarely in humid regions. They are a good source of indigo dye.

Woad flowers grow in huge patches in plains biomes sometimes, and are also an easy source of indigo dye when found.

Finally, there is the Logwood tree, a tree that can rarely generate in warm biomes. The logs can be crafted down into logwood woodchips. These woodchips can be assembled in a 9x9 grid to get Logwood Mulch, a block that can speed up growth of certain crops adjacent, turned into sticks, or turned into a powder that can be combined with water to form indigo dye.

Banana Dye, Bananas, And Pine Cones!

Banana dye, bananas, and pine cones!

Bananas are a new bush-like plant found in tropical or beachy regions! They can be picked at their unripe or ripe stage, depending on what you want to use them for.

Unripe bananas can be crafted into golden bananas (which grant you banana powers like speed, jump boost and strength) as well as a few other things we haven't decided yet. Suggestions always welcome!

Ripe bananas can be peeled to be eaten. The peels can be crafted into banana dye, while the flesh of the fruit can be turned into banana bread or chocolate covered banana slices!

When the banana tree is chopped down, it can be turned into banana tree bark blocks, or crafted down into bamboo planks.

Pine cones can be found as a cover plant beneath spruce trees in taiga biomes. They can be harvested and turned into a pine cone block, which when burned releases a lot of smoke, combined with water to make banana dye, or turned into pine nuts. The pine nuts can be combined with honey for honeyed pine nuts, or combined with sweet berries to make boreal trail mix.

every single time i see your content pop up i get SO unreasonably excited. as someone who unironically LOVES the glazed teracotta i owe you my life. What would you say your favorite minecraft project was? coding, ingame, or [secret third option]?

Gahh I love to hear you like my terracottas !!! :3 I've only really worked on a few projects so far, all of which have been worked on by me and my girlfriend. I think the project I'm most passionate about is my geology mod, "Lithogeology", which I've made over 400 unique textures for at the moment. That project is currently on hiatus as I lost motivation for it, and I want to complete at least the 16 dyes for my dye mod first.

Every Single Time I See Your Content Pop Up I Get SO Unreasonably Excited. As Someone Who Unironically

Most of those rocks would be part of the previously mentioned Lithogeology mod. The mod is planned to add over 30 new types of rocks (on top of vanilla ones like granite and diorite), 13 new gems, more archeology, and would revamp how the underground generates with new biomes, new mobs and geologically accurate rock layers, with a bit of Minecraft fantasy thrown in.

That project only exists as art and concepts right now, and I doubt we'll begin programming it anytime soon as getting the dye mods and our other mod Squashed out first is our priority.

I'll include some screenshots of all the WIP stuff I've done for Lithogeology below :3 keep in mind that it is WIP and obv some stuff is unfinished hehe

Maroon Dye, Cochineal Beetles, Madder Roots And Cinnabar!

Maroon dye, Cochineal Beetles, Madder Roots and Cinnabar!

Cacti can now spawn with a chance of little cochineal beetles on them! These beetles will go through 4 stages of growth before turning a bright red color, and when bright red, can be right-clicked to obtain maroon dye (to which they will return to their first stage). This process beginning is not guaranteed, however, and sometimes needs to be prompted with cactus chunks, which can be obtained by crafting down one cactus. These cactus chunks, while not a great food source on their own, can be smelted and eaten or crafted into cactus compost - a way to speed up cochineal beetles reddening process and a renewable way to make some more beetles!

Madder is a new plant that isn't that interesting on it's own, but it's whats beneath thats unique - if you dig beneath the plant, you'll find Madder Root. This can be made into maroon dye or crafted in a 4x4 grid to make Large Madder Roots, which can also be crafted down into normal oak planks.

One more method of obtaining maroon dye is deep beneath the earth, beneath Y=0, you may find little clumps of Cinnabar. Budding cinnabar can also be found, slowly growing crystals similar to Amethyst. Mining the cinnabar crystals yields cinnabar dust, and combing 4 dust makes a cinnabar rock. The rocks can be used for decorative blocks, or an alternative to brewing a potion of harming. Cinnabar dust is incredibly dangerous, and can be thrown on enemies for a quick bit of damage on it's own - or mixed with Gunpowder and Redstone to create an incredibly dangerous slurry. The slurry, when combined with copper and a splash potion of harming, makes a Gas Bomb - an area of effect of constant damage. The bomb also creates a brief effect that stuns and harms Guardians especially.

Acorn Dye, Coffee, And Acorns!

Acorn dye, coffee, and acorns!

Coffee plants can be found in tropical regions, and coffee berries can be harvested from them every so often. Coffee beans can be extracted from these berries, and can be turned into an acorn colored dye, or smelted into coffee grounds. These coffee grounds can be brewed into 4 different types of coffee - normal brewed coffee, espresso, macchiato, and mocha.

All brewed coffees are quick to drink, decrease insomnia and delay the arrival of phantoms - additionally:

Regular Coffee will provide speed I for a while, Espresso provides speed III for a short period of time, Macchiato clears only negative status effects, and Mocha gives jump boost.

Acorns can sometimes be found on the ground in patches beneath oak and dark oak trees. When eaten unroasted on their own, they give you the hunger debuff but a bit of saturation. Unroasted acorns are unsafe to eat, but after roasting them they can be made into a trail mix with apples, turned into acorn dye, or crafted down into acorn flour. Acorn flour can be used as a replacement for wheat in most recipes.

Cerulean Dye, Blueberries, Black Beans, And The Soulbloom!

Cerulean dye, blueberries, black beans, and the Soulbloom!

Blueberries are found in colder biomes, and function much the same to sweet berry bushes. They take a bit longer to grow compared to sweet berries, but are slightly more nutritious. You can make the dye, blueberry pie and bluberry muffins with them, or combine then with sweet berries and wheat to make a blueberry pancake!

Black beans are a new type of crop found in tropical regions. After being baked, they are able to be crafted into cerulean dye or eaten. They can be used in tacos or black bean curry, two new nutritious food dishes.

Finally, there is the Soulbloom - a plant that grows in Soul Sand Valleys. This flower can be turned into the dye and emits a bit of light, but when combined with a Wither Rose it creates a "Revived Rose" - which, when held in the offhand slot, increases the chance of a wither skeleton skull dropping from wither skeletons.

Mauve Dye, Mulberry Tree And Silkworms, And Avocados!Avocados Are A New Fruit Tree Type That Can Appear

Mauve dye, Mulberry tree and Silkworms, and Avocados! Avocados are a new fruit tree type that can appear rarely in jungle biomes. They can be sliced in half and the pit taken out, which can be turned into Mauve dye or used to grow another avocado tree. The wood crafts down into jungle wood.

Avocado is a high saturation food - an ideal replacement for meat. However, the trees do not fruit too often. Whole fruits can be crafted with gold to make golden avocados - a semi-direct upgrade of the golden carrot! Slices can be eaten on their own or cooked into guacamole, or into an avocado omelet.

Mulberry trees can be found very rarely on the surface in temperate biomes, or commonly in lush caves! when breaking their leaves, there is a large chance that a mulberry fruit will drop - and on rare occasions, a silkworm will drop! You can place a silkworm on a mulberry leaf block, and it will slowly grow and turn into a full Silk Moth. When these moths hatch, they will drop their cocoon. Take 9 of these and you can craft Moth Silk. These can be forged with a book to create a guaranteed source of the Silk Touch enchantment!

Mauve Dye, Mulberry Tree And Silkworms, And Avocados!Avocados Are A New Fruit Tree Type That Can Appear

Silk Moths are attracted to light. They perch and sleep under daylight. When given moth feed, they have a rare chance to drop another silkworm. Take good care of your moths, and they will have a higher chance of dropping a silkworm when fed!

Sap Dye, Needle Sap, Stinging Nettles, Mistletoe And The Watching Eye

Sap dye, Needle Sap, Stinging Nettles, Mistletoe and the Watching Eye

Needle Sap is a new resource that can be made by putting normal spruce leaf blocks in a furnace. Using needle sap, you can turn it simply into sap dye, or combine it with clay to make sap clay. Sap clay can be turned into a block of sap clay or smelted into bricks, all of which function mainly as deco blocks (atm!)

Stinging Nettles are an uncommon sight in forest biomes of all types. When touched, they apply poison for a very short period of time. You can attach a stinging nettle to a fishing rod to make a new sort of ranged weapon that inflicts poison! They are another source of sap dye.

Mistletoe is a new plant found in snowy biomes on any tree. You will be able to spot them as they remain a vibrant green. They can be made into sap dye or placed similarly to coral fans on walls.

The Watching Eye is a very uncommon plant found in the End, only spawning in groups of one. The eye on the plant is always watching you.
