Oops.

Long, elegant fingers wiped the still warm blood from her face; maybe she should invest in silencers. But in America...would even anyone bat an eye at a gunshot?

Sure hope you weren't doing anything important Karma, as a portal outright appears in your living room as Pavitr hopes out in style. Fortunately, Pavitr walked through the portal rather than web slinging last thing he needed was to fling himself head first into a wall. The surprised is instant on his face, as he was near certain he wasn't supposed to be teleport into someone's home but the confusion is doubled when he sees Karma.
He stares there....a mix of awe and terror, though mostly terror.
"Are you....okay???" that looks painful

She was restless, even more so than usual and the most frustrating reason...that she didn't have an active reason. Something was off with her back that's for sure, it happened occasionally when she didn't stretch properly and thoroughly. Her living room was spacious, she didn't have the patience to reach the gym in the other wing of the mansion.
The support was solid enough along with the surface, the woman wasted no time arranging herself in a otherwise bone breaking position, her knees near her ears in the handstand; she finally could feel some of the tension leaving her body.
Until an advanced scientific phenomenon started taking place in her living room.
Einstein claimed time travel was possible, the surprise was that it hadn't taken place in some kind of villain lair (what she knew of). Karma found herself not moving, only staring in curiosity at the man in costume casually waltzing out of the portal.

A smile tugged at the corner of her lips at the shock she received, still it was admirable that he didn't even scream.
βI am.β the woman waved with one hand, the movement placing her distorted body's weight completely on the other. Her legs slowly descended lower, bending her spine even further until a small pop at last and a relieved βFinallyβ sigh from her.
Karma descended from the decoration, legs first, spine curling up as he stood at last.
βI think this is a quite necessary question: what are you doing in my house?β she was surprisingly calm, given by the method of arrival of the guest

Karma kept her gates firmly closed, locking press, doctors, colleagues out without a second thought. Security patrolled the property, the same employees her father had hired, trusted. In their eyes even if they never admitted: she was still the bright eyed little girl who tried to snuck them her mother's sweets during duty. Now she was a frail young woman with a company and an even heavier name. If one thing, maybe this was what she felt remorse for. They had no idea the little girl was dead and in her body stood a cold blooded killer.
She never thought she would loathe her name. Maybe because it didn't belong to her. Still, it would be impolite to snap at her guest. The doctor was...strange wasn't the right word, more akin to secretive and Karma recognized the signs quite easily, as an expert in that field.
βMy pleasure, Doctor Octavius. I apologize for the denials, I felt I'm not fully ready.β her smile was cold along with her skin
βPlease follow me to my father's- β a small halt in her steps, slight adjustment of the sunglasses βI mean my office now.β Karma corrected, heels echoing on the dark marble floor.
βI'm aware the reason behind your visit is his work, I appreciate it. But if you could spare a little time to spend with me before, that would be great. I start to forget how normal human interactions work.β she wasn't lying, sometimes truth was better than any well constructed lie.
The young woman couldn't even deny she was born into a higher now almost extinct layer of society. Ivory complexion, long, thin fingers, tall, slender statue crowned by high cheekbones and narrow jawline. An aura of silent confidence despite the hardships and regal grace in fluid movements.
βI can open a few curtains, I know the atmosphere must be, well, gloomy. A little light wouldn't hurt my eyes and you, Doctor, would be more comfortable.β a calculative decision, she didn't want to rely on her infrared sensing disguised as a friendly gesture, almost out of her so called βcomfort zoneβ.

@deathshadowed liked for a starter with Olivia Octavius

"Ah, Miss VΓ©ghvΓ‘ry! It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Before we begin, I just want to say thank you again for inviting me into your home. It's quite lovely." It was hard for Liv to suppress the sheer excitement she felt after finally getting her request for a visit.
She had been following the heiress' father's accomplishments in the medical field for quite some time...until his passing that is. Which, coincidentally enough, was around the same time rumors began to circulate that the VΓ©ghvΓ‘ry daughter had...unique additions to her DNA. Now, Liv was no geneticist but even this was enough to get her attention. So of course, she had to find out if the rumors were true herself. And she didn't plan on leaving until she got her answers. One way or another.
Symbiote spiderman: "You smell like blood"
βNo shit.β

The reply blunt, more than usual, but the day has been long and probably not the end of it.
βBad day in the office.β a shrug along with a half lit cigarette between her fingers
