Perilla Leaves
Pairing: Jungkook x Reader
Genre: Fake dating + Fluff + Friends to Lovers
Word Count: 1.1K
A/N: Requested by the wonderful and fabulous @delacyrose224â as part of my 1,000 follower milestone celebration! In honor of the great perilla leaf debate and our dear, beloved, jealous Jungkook.Â

You fiddled with the clasp on your clutch, opening it and closing it mindlessly as you waited for Jungkook to return with glasses of champagne for both of you. Looking around the room, you watched as your colleagues mingled with each other at cocktail tables, wearing sparkly evening gowns and black ties.
âMiss me?â Jungkook asked as he sidled up next to you, handing you a glass of bubbly liquid.
âOf course,â you sarcastically quipped, only to realize you were in earshot of other guests at the charity event, all of whom thought you and Jungkook were happily in love, ââŠbabe.â
âNice save,â Jungkook murmured into his glass while taking a sip. You gave him an apologetic smile, taking a sip of your own drink to try and tamp down the nerves.

Underneath the Tree

Pairing: Han Jisung x reader
Genre: Pure Christmas fluff!
Word Count: 2.3k
Author's Note: Today's tune is Underneath the Tree by Kelly Clarkson! This is my first SKZ fic, so I'm a little nervous to throw this out into the world, but what better time than the holidays. I hope everyone is able to rest and spend time with loved ones as we head into 2023. Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
âHello?â
You step cautiously through the doorway into a large cabin, enough to hold 10 people.
âHELLO?!âÂ
The man behind you exclaims directly in your ear, making you jump. You twist around, only to find Han Jisung laughing. You swat at his arm, catching him off guard.
âHey, what was that for?!â He rubs at the spot you hit, pouting.
âFor being a jerk, thatâs what! You just yelled in my ear for no reason!â you pout back at him, huffing a strand of hair out of your face. It does no good, falling right back in front of your eyes.
âNot no reason, I wanted to see if anyone was here, same as you. Duh.âÂ
You narrow your eyes and he just laughs some more.Â
âWell, no oneâs here. Clearly. I thought Chris was supposed to be here before usâŠwerenât we the only ones that still had work today before the holidays started?âÂ
You were supposed to come up to this cabin for a long weekend getaway with Jisung, your best friend Meg, and all of Jisungâs bandmates and friendsâŠyet somehow you had arrived first.
âYeah, I wonder if they stopped for snacks or something on the wayâŠthey didnât need to, the cabin came fully stocked. I made sure to double check when I booked it.â Jisung shrugs and turns to head back out to his car. âIâll check in on themâŠin the meantime, Iâll grab all the games we brought. You need anything?âÂ
You shake your head and move to go inside and explore, but before you can go too far Jisung grabs your arm, turning you towards him.Â
âWhat?â you ask.
He gently reaches forward, tucking the errant strand of hair youâd been fighting behind your ear.
âNothing.â
â---------------------------------
Youâve been wandering the house for 30 minutes while Jisung has been back and forth unloading his car. The cabin feels huge, and houses 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (including one with a really fancy tub), a hot tub, and the biggest kitchen youâve ever seen. Youâve found yourself in the living room, which has a fireplace as well as several giant bookshelves youâre now perusing.
âAnything good?â A sudden whisper in your ear causes you to jump for the second time that day.
Again, Jisung is laughing as you catch your breath and look at him.Â
âJi, if you donât stop! Youâre knocking years off my life, I swearâŠâ
âThat just means you will have spent more of your life with me,â he smirks. âMy question still standsâŠfind anything good?â
You feel slightly embarrassed as you motion towards a stack of books youâd been building on the side table beside you. Thereâs no way youâd get through them all this weekend, but that wouldnât stop you from trying.
Jisung kneels down to inspect the books. âMeet Me Under the MistletoeâŠThe 12 Dates of ChristmasâŠOnce Upon a Time in DecemberâŠseems like thereâs a theme here, hmm?â He looks up at you, eyes sparkling with mischief.
âIs it a crime that I want to read seasonal romances now?â you huff indignantly.
He stands up, his face closer to you than youâd necessarily be comfortable with. âWhy would you want to read something like that when Iâm right here?â
You donât know how to answer that question. Youâd been friends with Han Jisung for a good 5 years, and what he didnât know was that you may or may not have had a crush on him for 4 of those years. It became apparent to you within the last year that you needed to move on and accept that the two of you were just friends. Most of the time, this wasnât that difficult. When he was staring into your eyes, his face inches from yours, asking questions related to romance and himselfâŠit got a little harder.
He finally breaks the silence with laughter, his cheeks rounding out in a way that youâd always adored.
âAnywayâŠâ you clear your throat, âwhat happened to Chris and the other boys?â
Jisungâs face falls immediately.
âAbout thatâŠso, Chris got sick last minute. No one else could drive.â
âAnd Meg had to go see family, which meansâŠâ
âItâs just us all weekend!âÂ
You stare at each other. Jisung has a tentative smile on his face, but the longer the silence goes on, the more it starts to fall.
â...unless you want me to just take you home?â he asks softly.
Could you handle all weekend with just him? Youâre not sure. But you absolutely canât handle him looking like a kicked puppy.
âNever. Letâs make the most of it!â you exclaim, trying to hype yourself up.
âYes! Iâm so excited, this is gonna be the best weekend ever!!â He runs over, throwing his arms around you and spinning you in a circle before placing you back on the ground.
Your heart is pounding from the close contact, and youâre desperately hoping your friend didnât notice.Â
What had you just agreed to?
â-------------------------------------------
After unpacking your things in one of the many bedrooms, you come back down to the living room, only to see a massive tree in the corner by the fireplace. Youâre sure that wasnât there beforeâŠyou would have noticed a tree, right?
Jisung comes into the room just then, carrying a large gray plastic tub which he sets by the tree.
âOh, heyâŠI didnât realize youâd come down,â he grins.
âI just did, but what is this?â you gesture towards the tree, confused.
âOh, I found that Christmas tree in one of the million rooms down here and brought it in hereâŠfelt more festive,â he shrugs.
You stare at the tree. Itâs a pine tree for sure, but thereâs nothing on it.
Jisung follows your stare and nudges the tub with his foot. âThatâs what this is for. Decorations.â
âSo the people that own this cabin left an undecorated Christmas tree and decorations? They really thought of everything.â
He shakes his head. âNo, they left the tree. I brought the decorations.â
âHuh?â
âI knew there was going to be a tree, but it needed decorations. So I brought some.â
You canât help but clap your hands in excitement.
âSo letâs decorate!!â
The two of you string white lights around the massive tree, which is easily at least 6.5-7ft tall. Once the lights are on, you turn back to the tub of decorations, which has a massive amount of blue and silver ornaments in it.
You lift a bauble delicately out of the container and place it gently on the tree.
âPerfect,â Jisung whispers beside you. You turn and heâs looking directly at you.Â
Willing yourself to do anything but think too hard about whatâs happening, you blurt out, âBlue and silver are my favorite colors for Christmas decorationsâŠit looks like a winter wonderland!â
Jisung smiles. âI know, thatâs why I brought them.âÂ
You wish you could melt into the floor. AlasâŠyou are solid and your body refuses to be anything but.
âW-what about everyone else?â you splutter.Â
âYou get into Christmas stuff the most, so I figured everyone else could just deal.â
You smile despite yourself, knowing his statement is true.
â...thanks.âÂ
His smile lights up, rivaling the lights on the tree. âNow letâs get this tree decorated!â
â--------------------------------
The two of you stand back, marveling at your handiwork. The tree is dripping with lights, and too many ornaments to count.Â
The only thing left is a glittering silver star. Too bad the top of the tree is too tall for either of you to reach, and thereâs no ladder in sight.
âHere,â Jisung hands you the star. âIâll lift you up, and you should be able to reach the top.â
You stare dumbfounded.Â
âWhat? Come on, Iâm not that weakâŠIâve been lifting lately!â he almost whines at you, pushing up his sleeve and flexing his bicep.
This is itâŠthis is how it all ends. One of your best friends flexing at you, inviting you to have him wrap his arms around your waist and lift you up to put a star on top of a Christmas tree.
You find yourself numbly nodding, stepping forward as Jisung moves behind you, pushing up his other sleeve.
âJi, be careFUL!!â you screech as youâre suddenly lifted off the ground with no warning, his arms wrapped snugly around you.
âIâve got you, itâs fine,â he laughs, stepping slightly closer to the tree. You use one hand to steady yourself against the branches and use the other to extend the star towards the top-only problem is, youâre still not quite high enough.
âHannie, I still canât reachâŠlet me down, itâs fine without a star.â
âNot on my watchâŠhold on a sec,â he tightens his grip around you before suddenly hoisting you up and lowering his hold from your waist to your hips.
You let out a small gasp at the sudden movement, causing the man beneath you to huff out a laugh.Â
âTry now.â You steady yourself again, and reach towards the top with the star, managing to slide the decoration on the topmost branch.
âGot it!â you exclaim triumphantly, looking over your shoulder at Jisung.
âI knew we could do it!â he beams. âHold steadyâŠgoing down.â He loosens his grip on your hips, which makes you slowly slide down and into his arms. His hands end up on your waist again, but this time theyâre on your bare skin, your shirt bunched up from the downward movement.
You turn in his arms, his hands staying on your waist. He looks a little lost for words, his eyes wide as they meet yours.
âYouâre strong,â you breathe out. âThanks for not dropping me.â
His eyes fall to your mouth, watching each word as if itâs the most interesting thing heâs ever heard. You can feel your cheeks color as you really come to terms with your former crush (who maybe is turning back into a current crush) having his hands on your waist and eagerly staring at your lips.
âHannie?â
His eyes draw back up to yours. âHmm?â His head tilts adorably to the side, making him resemble a squirrel.
âYou can let go now.â
This seems to snap him back to reality, though you notice that his hands linger even while he removes them, seemingly in no hurry to stop touching you.
âIâll start a fire for us and make some hot chocolate from scratch, howâs that sound?â
You hum in agreement and he smiles brightly.
âGrab a seat on the couch, Iâll get everything ready.â
â-----------------------------------------
Fifteen minutes later, youâre snuggled up on the couch, book in hand and a blanket over your lap. While youâd been decorating, the sun had set, so the only light in the room was coming from the fireplace and the Christmas lights on the tree. Just as youâre turning the page, you feel a presence behind you.
âWhatcha reading?â Jisung peers over the couch, resting his head on your shoulder.
âOnce Upon a Time in December,â you smile, glancing over at him out of the corner of your eye.
â...âs good?â he asks, breath tickling your neck.
You hum in reply.Â
âGood.â He moves back toward the kitchen, reappearing with two mugs of hot chocolate. âHomemade hot chocolate for the lady,â he says, gently handing you a mug that reads âPeas On Earthâ.Â
âPeas on Earth?â you snicker.
âAnd goodwill to men,â he laughs, sitting next to you. âRead to me?â
âWhat?â
âWill you read to me? You said it was goodâŠor were you lying?â he smirks.
âNo, it is good. But why do you want me to read to you?â
âItâs a Christmas story, it feels appropriateâŠand I like the sound of your voice.â The latter part of his sentence is much quieter, with a tinge of embarrassment.
â...okay.â Your voice is quiet to match his, and you adjust yourself to a more comfortable position.
â---------------------------------------
30 minutes later, youâre curled into the corner of the couch, Jisungâs head in your lap. He hums contentedly as you read, your fingers gently carding through his hair.
You pause for a moment and he looks up at you sleepily.
âWhyâd you stop?â
You smile down at him. âI need to drink something, my voice is going away.â
He jolts up next to you, immediately concerned. âWhy didnât you say something before? Iâm so selfish, wanting you to read, and now youâre going to go hoarse!â
You bring your hands to his cheeks, forcing him to stop talking. âJi, hushâŠI wanted to read, youâre fine. Iâll just finish off my hot chocolate.â You reach over to your mug, draining the last of its contents.
You place it back on the table, waiting for Jisung to lay back down, but he doesnât. Instead, heâs staring at you intently.
â...what?â
He scoots closer to you. âYouâve gotâŠjust thereâŠâ He reaches forward, gently swiping his thumb across your upper lip. Meanwhile, you would like to melt again. Or combust, whichever comes first.
You can see whipped cream on his thumb as he lifts it off your face, and your face colors both from embarrassment and proximity to him.
âIs it gone?â
Jisung shakes his head, leaning closer again-but this time, itâs his lips hovering just over yours.
â...is this okay?â he whispers, eyes locked on yours.
You swallow thickly, nodding. His lips connect with yours softly at first, then more insistently as one of his hands grabs your waist and the other works its way into your hair.
The moment doesnât feel real-your crush of four years (okay, five) is kissing you, in a cabin, in front of a Christmas tree. Your heart is beating a million miles an hour and you canât quite breathe-but that might be because youâve just sighed into Jisungâs mouth and heâs now taken your bottom lip gently between his teeth.
Before things can get more heated, he draws away from you, eyes sparkling. âI think all the whipped creamâs gone,â he laughs, leaning in to place another quick kiss on your lips.
You reach out and swat at his chest, which makes him laugh even harder.
âI hate you, Han Jisung,â you giggle.
He raises his eyebrows, smirking.Â
âI hate you more.â

One of the most important things I have learned today..
If only I ran into cute men on the street like thisâŠsigh.
Hero
Pairing: Jin x ReaderÂ
Genre: Strangers to Lovers + Fluff + Jin saves the day
Word Count: 800+
A/N: requested by my amazing bestie @jiminshairlineââ I hope you like this fluffiness and presh jinnie can give you some comfort

For how big the city was, you seemed to have the worst luck when it came to running into people you were trying to avoid. Your ex-boyfriend of three years just happened to be the one you wanted to avoid the most. And here he was, walking down the street, about to pass the bus stop that you were waiting at impatiently for your ride home from the office.
He had his headphones on and was staring at his phone. Any minute now he would look up and see you; the two of you had not left things on great terms, and you were not in the mood for the awkward, feigned conversation that came with a spontaneous run-in with your ex.
You looked around, hoping for an escape. There was only one other person at the bus stop with you. His face was hidden behind a mask, hair nearly reaching his eyes. He was tall, wearing a button down and slacks under his overcoat; he must be coming from work, too. He had a messenger bag slung onto his right shoulder. From what you could tell, his shoulders looked broad.
Maybe I could hide behind him, you thought jokingly.
You tapped his arm, giving him an apologetic smile. He looked at you blankly, blinking aggressively as if he didnât realize someone else was at the stop with him this whole time.
âHi, Iâm really sorry to bother you, but I have a small favor to ask,â you started. The stranger quirked an eyebrow at you, waiting for you to continue. âMy ex is literally walking down the street right now, and since I physically cannot melt into a puddle and disappear on this sidewalk, could you please, please start talking to me like weâre best friends, so he wonât stop and say hi?â You had never sounded so desperate in your life.
