How OnePlus 6 Was Unboxed In India Will Blow Your Mind

There was a time when giveaways by a brand was an exciting thing for a consumer, until all the ‘unboxing’ videos broke the internet and the idea of product marketing changed. But the OnePlus 6 unboxing stood because the most awaited flagship launch of the year deserved an extraordinary inauguration. Therefore, the marketing team at Amazon married the two ideas (giveaway and unboxing) and came up with the most innovative way of unboxing their new Amazon Exclusive launch – the stunning OnePlus 6. All it took was a mind-reading device, six OnePlus 6 phones to give away and hundreds of people excited to win the fastest phone around. The magic unfolded not with two hands but with the greatest technology in the world, the human brain. Amazon challenged hundreds of visitors at the mall to unbox the OnePlus 6 using just with the speed of their brains. The participants with the highest concentration power could unbox the phone and win a brand new OnePlus 6.

How did it work?

Participants were required to think about only one thing, ‘Speed’, while looking at the screen with the indicator in front of them which dynamically relayed their concentration power. The participants who could focus on speed for 6 seconds got the golden chance to unbox the phone of their dreams. The idea of the challenge was simple, “Think Speed, Win Speed”, which truly represented the USP of the fastest OnePlus phone ever. Would you take this challenge if given a chance? Tell us!”

Honestly, I am against Pewdiepie. Even the European union is against him, he is a racist. I am against racism

I think something special is happening on YouTube right now

By now you’ve probably heard the most subscribed channel Pewdiepie at 68 million subscribers is about to be surpassed by T series, a channel that is basically Indian Vevo. Its a big moment in YouTube’s history since Pewdiepie has held the record for spot for 8 years. While even he himself doesn’t feel bad about being dethroned, a lot of people including myself see this as a sad moment–one that represents YouTube’s core values truly switching from individual creators to massive money making companies. That’s really disappointing despite its inevitability, and this moment symbolizes that. I started watching livestreams of the sub counts feeling the sadness of the moment slowly approaching, estimates saying it would happen within 12 hours.

But then it didn’t. That was 2 days ago. I think T series was 100k away from the title and now there’s a 600k gap. There’s been a huge outpouring of support for Pewdiepie, many attributing to MrBeast’s efforts to advertise in his town like crazy to subscribe to Pewds. It really seemed to work, Pewds7’ daily sub count more than doubled after MrBeast’s video. And of course its still steadily rising ahead of T series.

T series is going to win, there are only so many people out there that can and are willing to subscribe to Pewdiepie. But its been great to see this moment go from sad to one last hurrah of support for a beloved channel, showing that even if YouTube’s values have changed, that of its audience has not.
