Imagining Hawks having a cat. Very cute, with huge innocent eyes that had Hawks in love the minute he saw the thing. It's a nice but extremely stupid cat that has probably never had a single coherent thought. Real baby but spends half of their time together trying to hunt Hawks who despite that has not even once considered getting rid of him. The other half is spent sleeping and eating.

Like, to Hawks, giving the cat back isn't even within the realm of possibility. It's not acceptable. They're family now.

I remember when I re-listened to To Find You by Sing Street a while ago, it gave me major Dabihawks vibes and also a sting in my eye

The entire song is amazing and full of potential but like, imagine this part from Dabi's pov, about Hawks

"Hawks is an abuse apologist" "Hawks doesn't care" Why? Because he didn't make a scene in Endeavor's hospital room, in front of his family? That would have been unhelpful at best, possibly insensitive, and most importantly, out of character. Hawks doesn't see his own emotions as a priority, doesn't let them get in the way, rarely expresses them and when he does, it's subtle, never over the top.

His arm around Shoto, the question, the no-nonsense look in his eye. He does care, and that scene made it quite obvious.

"Why is he still working with him" Why wouldn't he? Even Natsuo is standing by his side for the time being, albeit reluctantly, because he recognizes how dire the situation is and how necessary Endeavor's power is. But you want Hawks to refuse to collaborate out of some misplaced sense of morality, when he has shown over and over that he believes in people changing? By that point in the story, he had shown it with Twice, and he will do it again later with Lady Nagant. He wishes he could have saved his parents, even though that's never been his responsibility and he owes them nothing.

He is not some blinded fan, he sees Endeavor as he is, and that is someone who sees the horror of his past actions and the consequences they brought, and is trying to change. Love him, hate him, doesn't change that fact.

Similarly, you can love Hawks or hate him for who he is, but who he is is not some heartless monster just because he doesn't show emotions like you may wish he would, or think he should, and it is certainly not an abuse apologist.

Hawks putting his arm around Shoto's shoulders and facing Endeavor to ask about the abuse of the Todorokis is such a MOMENT that no one ever talks about
