Time To Talk About Why Terrorizing Rusty Is Peak With A Bullet List Of Everything I Like About It
time to talk about why terrorizing rusty is peak with a bullet list of everything i like about it
- the song itself is so tense, each line comes after the other with barely any room to breathe, until the part when rusty is confronted by greaseball’s friends. rusty barely has any time to even speak, and when he finally is able to defend himself, he’s cut off twice and greaseball kills any chance him being able to explain himself any further
- greaseball ADMITS that rusty was actually pretty good during the race, hence why he decided to cheat before he could get ahead of him. i think it’s a clever way to set up that rusty DOES have a chance at winning if he was fast enough to make the CHAMPION at least slightly threatened says a lot about rusty’s abilities
- the marshals blindly believing electra and greaseball’s story of rusty causing the wreck when it was very clear to anyone with eyes that it wasn’t, very much implies that they aren’t as impartial as greaseball says (something something the system is rigged for more powerful people to abuse something something)
- the line “the marshal’s impartial it has to be true!” goes so hard
- the diesels beating him up, as much as it hurts me to watch, in my eyes, tries to trick the audience, and rusty to think that greaseball and electra are right. steam engines are weak and frail, and not fit to go into the race, as he’s not strong enough to fight off a few measly diesels, but in doing that, it proves that they’re wrong. yes, rusty couldn’t fight the diesels off, but that was only because they overpowered in him numbers, and physically restrained him so they could beat him up. it was not a fair fight in any way, implying that rusty actually might’ve stood a chance if the diesels didn’t overpower him.
- i like how slick and flat top (in their respective shows) are the ones to check to see if rusty is ok after everything that’s happened, it gives a lot of depth their characters, showing that while they certainly won’t show it, they really care about rusty at the end of the day (which is especially interesting for slick since she’s one of the main villains)
- (this only applies to the bochum production pre-update) caboose further taunting rusty after everything that’s happened just adds an extra cherry on top of his shit cake. (also i think it’s funny when caboose mockingly imitates pearl yelling “rusty!”)
- (this only applies to the london revival) pearl going up to rusty after he’s beat up, asking him to whistle for her like she did when they first him, only for him to sit there silent is SO. FUCKING. SAD. MY HEART. ITS BREAKING. (note: anything i say about the revival is based on what i’ve heard from people who have seen it so please take this with a big spoonful of salt)
- (this only applies to the vegas production) i think it’s funny how that one diesel goes fucking ham on rusty like he just burned his crops, pissed on his wife and took the kids when literally no one else does (he was the only one punching him too 😭)

gotta do everything myself around here
My family lives in desperate conditions. I present to you a family of more than fifteen children. We live in very difficult circumstances😭🙏🇵🇸🍉🔻

Our children often say: "Stop the war - we are children - we want to live." But does anyone in the world hear his screams and respond to him? We live in a state of despair. This family has been living for nine months in a small tent no larger than 3 metres. Imagine spending every day, every night, and every moment in such cramped conditions. They need urgent support to rebuild our home and restore a sense of normalcy

In the heart of war-torn Gaza, where destruction and loss are a daily reality, lies the deeply moving tale of Dr. Husam Farhat and his family. Amidst the relentless bombardment, Dr. Farhat faced an unthinkable tragedy: the martyrdom of his beloved sisters, Inas and Amal, along with their husbands and children, and his brother Mustafa. This devastating loss shattered not only their dreams but also their hopes for a peaceful future.

Life Before the War: Memories of a Beautiful Home
Before the war, my life revolved around a beautiful home where I lived with my wife, our daughter Sham, and our sons Muhannad and Muhammad. This home was more than just a place to live; it was a sanctuary filled with love, warmth, and the joy of watching my children grow. Every corner of our home echoed with their laughter, turning it into a place where dreams for the future felt not only possible but inevitable, but then the war came, and in an instant, everything changed. The place where we once felt safe and secure was reduced to rubble. The life we had carefully built, the dreams we had nurtured, and the bright future we had planned were all torn apart. The war didn’t just destroy our home; it uprooted our entire existence, leaving us with nothing but the painful memories of what once was, Now, standing in the ruins of our former life, I'm left with fragments of a distant dream. The joy and security we once knew have been replaced by loss and uncertainty as we face a future overshadowed by harsh realities.

The Loss of My Professional Dream and Life After the War
And it wasn’t just my home that was destroyed. My accounting office, one of the most renowned in Palestine, was also reduced to rubble. I had worked tirelessly to build this office, which wasn't just a place of business but a reflection of my passion and dedication to the field of accounting. It was our primary source of income, providing financial stability and security for my family, My office was well-known for its exceptional services and strong reputation among clients. Over the years, it had become a symbol of success and hard work in the accounting world. But the war took it all away in an instant. Everything I had worked so hard to achieve was destroyed, and years of effort and dedication were wiped out in moments, Now, I stand on the ruins of my office, just as I stand on the ruins of my life, trying to piece together the remnants of my dreams and memories. This office was a source of pride for me and my family, but the war has left us with nothing, facing an uncertain and difficult future.

War's Toll on My Dreams and Future
The war didn’t just destroy my home and office; it shattered my dreams and future. As a PhD candidate in Accounting Information Systems at Universiti Utara Malaysia, I was in my final year, pursuing research that is a significant contribution to my field and valuable to entrepreneurs. With a master’s degree with distinction and a bachelor's degree, I also taught at several universities, sharing my knowledge and passion, But the war disrupted everything. Years of hard work, academic progress, and my contributions to the field have been torn apart, leaving me with an uncertain future. Now, I am faced with the daunting task of not only rebuilding my life but also reviving the dreams and ambitions that once drove me. The journey ahead is filled with challenges, but my resolve to continue remains strong.

Displacement and Uncertainty After the War
Now, after all this devastation, my family and I are living as displaced people, homeless and jobless, with no clear future for ourselves or our children. Every day is a struggle to find food for my children, who have been robbed of every chance at a normal life by this war. Once, we lived in Shuja'iyya, in North Gaza, where we had a home, a life, and dreams. But now, after being displaced over nine times, we find ourselves in the refugee camps of Nuseirat, the war has stripped us of everything—our home, our security, and our future. Our daily life has become a constant search for basic necessities, a far cry from the life we once knew. The dreams I had for my children and myself now feel like distant memories, overshadowed by the relentless challenges of survival. Each day brings new uncertainties, as we navigate this harsh new reality, clinging to the hope that one day we might rebuild what was lost.

Starlight Express Appreciation Month 2024

Hello! So I originally wasn't going to do one this year, but a few people motivated me to give it a go.
I know there were some issues last year with how I grouped the characters. This year, I made an effort to improve things with feedback from the Discord server. However, with the addition of the new London character, it became quite tricky to assign everyone their own day, especially since we now have a total of 46 characters!
Due to this, I've had to leave out a few minor characters (Sleepers, Duvay, Gang, Marshals), but I've added a day for the minor characters at the end for anyone who wants to focus on them! If you'd prefer to choose one of these characters over another, feel free to do so! The list is simply a suggestion.
Start date: 1st September 2024
Question prompts for each day if you want to use them: - Favourite Actor? - Favourite Song/Scenes? - Favourite Costumes? - Favourite Ships/Friendships? - Headcanons? - Unpopular Opinion?
Hello,,
My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.
Beloved of my heart (Bakr)

Then the war came and destroyed everything. Our home was reduced to ashes, and our chicken farm was obliterated. We lost our home, our livelihood, and even our basic rights. We've been forced to move from place to place in northern Gaza, simply trying to survive.
My House before...

Me.. while trying to recognize what has happened..

The terror we feel as we flee from heavy bombardment is unbearable. The sound of explosions around us, the constant fear as we navigate through the rubble of destroyed homes searching for safety and food, haunts us every day. My son Bakr is constantly scared and suffers from severe malnutrition and skin diseases due to the lack of food, water, and sanitation.
Our beautiful memories.. :(

We urgently need your help. I am asking for your support to fund this campaign to move my family to a safe place, provide us with a proper home, and ensure we have enough food, water, and medical care.
Baker used to play with his dog.

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. We desperately need your support and solidarity during this difficult time. Together, we can restore hope and safety to Ashraf and his family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my plea. Your support means more than words can express. Together, we can turn a story of loss into a journey of hope and resilience.

With deepest gratitude,
Ashraf & the Family
