dbda poll perhaps i am choosing based on what i'd like to see but for me neutral my favorite thing about characters who have a different system of morality from the protagonists is that they can come in and shake things up and question the status quo or more accurately how the protagonists view the status quo and their role in it and i suspect that is how the writers would continue to use him in season two after the new status quo for season two is properly established (though i do think it would likely only be a single-episode appearance) the cat king dead boy detectives save dead boy detectives

polls nuance button dbda poll i've got a whole essay to write about ensemble show mirrored themes/character arcs in season one and yet i think edwin's story gets greater focus in season one and my expectations were that each of the main four would have a season where their personal arc got slightly greater weight/focus yes including niko (netflix is welcome to prove me wrong -- or right(!) -- here by renewing dead boy detectives for multiple seasons -- please 🥺) dead boy detectives
