hong joshua's actions are like apricity. his smile comforting you on the saddest days and his hugs warming you up in a few seconds - seconds that felt like hours when he held you in his arms, cooing at you patiently as you explained your thoughts and worries. truth be told, you loved it that way, and he did too. he loved the way your nose scrunched up as he beckoned you towards him ; he loved how you could tell him all about your shitty co-workers or friend that told you something so stupid that it managed to ruin your day.

he remembers that you once told him something about 'bothering him with your troubles.' he never heard such ridiculous words. he loved listening to you talk for hours, even if it was just about how your toast was a little too burnt that morning, so burnt infact that it annoyed you. he loved it so much because he loved you.

hong joshua's words are apricity. you love the way he writes his feelings down on paper at night when he misses you, just to call you in the morning and read it out to you. he knows you seem to think that he doesn't realise how his random 'i love you' s really matter to you - but he sees the way your eyes sparkle and how your cheek turn a shade pinker, which is why he says it daily.

even when you feel insecure about the relationship, he never screams, he never even gets mad. he talks it out with you as softly as he can. 'don't be silly. i don't even care for other girls. there will never be another you.' ; 'no one can understand the love i have for you, not even you.' and your favourite, 'baby, i go to sleep every night hoping to dream of you.'

hong joshua's acts of service remind you of apricity. his love shown clearly through the tea made and brought to you on chilly mornings and the heated blanket waiting for you on the couch for when you got back home. his favourite thing being making you a delicious lunchbox for work before he leaves, and him noticing it sitting empty by the kitchen sink, ready for the next morning.

even his 'random' dates - which he truthfully took the whole day prior planning - were warm like the sun on a winter day. it was impressive, really ; the way he could keep a smile on your face the whole day by holding your hand as you walked through the beach and how he packed an extra sweater incase you got cold while playing with him in the snow.

hong joshua is apricity. from the way his eyes smile along with his mouth to the way he carefully thinks before speaking around anyone. hong joshua is apricity because he will always be the one you think of when you feel a familiar heat from the sun on a cold day - melting away the ice, just as he melts your troubles and moulds them into love.

you whine as wonwoo pushes himself deeper inside of you, blinking away the tears that threaten to fall from just how good it feels.

“crying already, baby? we’ve barely started.”

you don’t answer, you know he’s not expecting you to anyway. instead you thread your fingers through his hair, brushing his bangs out of his eyes so that he can really see you. it’s been getting longer these days, curling up at the ends and around his ears. you love it but he complains that it’s a nuisance. still though, he promises to keep it this length because of you. because of the what it does to you.

like now, the way you can’t stop touching it, the way you practically jump him as soon as he gets out of the shower having just washed it. he’s not an idiot, he knows why you’ve been increasingly feral for him as his hair gets longer but he can’t say he minds.

“ready, baby?” he asks, stroking your thigh affectionately.

“y-yes.”

he smirks. “are you sure? because- ah, fuck! did you just pull my hair?”

you shrug. “you usually like it.”

okay, maybe you’d pulled a little harder than you usually did but it was his fault for taunting you so much in the first place.

wonwoo purses his lips and narrows his eyes at you. you pull on his hair again, forcing him to lift his jaw, this time eliciting a stifled whimper from your boyfriend as his cock twitches inside of you.

“what?” you ask, positive you must have misheard him.

“you know y/n, i really love you.” his words were random, but random moments like these warmed your heart up the most. 

you looked up from your phone after endlessly scrolling through social media without a goal, trying to fill in the space between now and midnight, when the fireworks outside the window would signify the new year. chan was sitting with you in bed, similarly viewing social media and occasionally looking at you, absolutely smitten with the way your hair was tucked behind your ears and how your cheeks were pink from the warmth of the room. 

“hm? well… i really love you more,” you replied with that pretty grin he loved seeing, “more than you could ever imagine.”

“that’s not true, you can’t love me more…” he fell silent, thinking about a way to prove this statement to you even though he knew that you both loved each other just as much. “i love you more than words can say.”

“then show me,” he glanced at you, his own smile now growing, a sight you were used to seeing everyday. his friends always teased him about it, the way you could make him melt by just looking at him or saying something that got his heart beating that little bit faster. you thought it was the cutest thing ever though.

rather than verbally responding, he simply nodded, placing his hand on your cheek and moving his face closer to yours. if you couldn’t feel the warmth before, you could definitely feel it now. his actions felt so gentle yet clearly deliberate, you couldn’t help but notice his features softening under the bedside light.

kissing chan was something you did often, you kissed him once he came back from work, you kissed him after he got you dinner, you kissed him when you wanted to wake him up from his heavy slumber. but you rarely kissed him like this, it wasn’t often you felt your heart palpitate, echoing the rhythm of love. you suddenly felt like a teenager again, feeling his lips on yours for the first time. 

you were sure chan felt the same, the way his kiss was so effortlessly breathtaking, a seamless connection speaking volumes when your lips collided. you could feel his thumb tracing your cheek, a soft whisper of admiration of its own. 

with a tender withdrawal, you felt your breath shorten. the silence between you was anything but awkward, you both acknowledged the subtle lingering gazes that chan planted on you quietly, appreciating the way you shyly avoided eye contact.

he opened his mouth to say something, but got quickly cut off by the loud sounds of the booms and bursts of the fireworks outside, chucking instead. “happy new years baby.” he added on, taking your hand and dragging you to the window.

“happy new years, chan.” you responded quietly, following him to the window to see the jittery flashes in the sky.

if you could describe chan, you would describe him using a firework. just like one, hes really pretty, beautifully spoken and a little loud - but it adds to the charm. hes also very random, like a firework exploding in irregular patterns. and like a firework, he illuminates the darkness with colour and joy, leaving a lasting impression on everyone around him.

for the new year, you know one thing - you want chan to stay by your side. and if hes a bright, loud firework, you’ll be his fuse, his bonfire.

“min, i’ll lose my mind please come over and help me find it” seokmin almost felt a little bad at how he had to hold back laugh while you panicked over the phone.

in his defence, it was a funny situation! how could he not find you calling him at 2 am because of your lost snoopy keychain a little amusing?

“i’m on my way sweetheart” seokmin said, voice still groggy having just woken up. he was already putting on a think hoodie to beat the cold of late winter. “don’t stress too much i’m sure we’ll find it, alright?”

you sighed, reassured because of your boyfriend’s words.

ten minutes later, you heard the notification from your phone alerting you that someone was at your door. you made sure it was your boyfriend before opening it up, giving him a quick peck before asking for his car keys.

seokmin tilted his head in confusion and you bit back the urge to coo at him while he looked like a lost puppy.

“it might’ve dropped in your car after our date today”

‘today’ told seokmin that you hadn’t slept yet, upsetting seokmin but he wouldn’t lecture you just yet he thought while handing you his keys.

he watched as you ran across the hall and to the elevator so you could get to his car outside. he watched for a few seconds before grabbing the jacket you had hung by your door and chasing after you, ushering the jacket onto you while you both waited for the elevator.

another twenty minutes later, that snoopy keychain was still nowhere in sight.

“baby, i’m starting to think it might be gone” seokmin sighed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and stifling another yawn for the nth time.

“don’t say that!” you whined, nudging his shoulder gently, “if it’s gone i’m actually going to cry”

“it’s not the end of the world if you lost one snoopy keychain” seokmin giggled, cupping your face and using his thumb to stroke your cheek.

“it is!” you sulked, “you got me that keychain on our first date at that carnival. if i lose it that means i’m a horrible girlfriend”

seokmin looked at you for a few seconds before breaking out into another laugh. he was far too infatuated with you for his own good.

“considering i didn’t even remember that sweetheart i think that makes me an even worse boyfriend” seokmin said gently and tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear.

“shut up, you could never be a bad boyfriend” you mumbled, leaning up to press a kiss to seokmin’s lips and melting at how you could feel him smile against your own.

“i’ll get you a new keychain tomorrow, okay?”

“okay”
