My King

This is from my AngelTale AU and a Cross X Nightmare short story. This was before the betrayal of Chara. This is also and Artwork as well!

Nightmare groans as the curtains open, sunshine splaying across his face. He hides his face in his pillow, but Cross lifts him up.

"My lord, please get up. This is a very important day! Its the parks new opening! You are the one who ordered it, my king."

Nightmare whines, clinging to his blanket. He dragged it with him as Cross carries him to his closet.

"Now, now my King. We are not playing this game today!"

Cross sighs as he wrenches the blanket from Nightmare. Nightmare sighs.

"Okaaay Fiiiine. Let me down, Ill get dressed."

Cross puts him down, turning away as Nightmare changed into some semi-formal clothes. Nightmare smiles to himself. He enjoyed parks, and after talking to the gardener to the castle, he was excited to rally up the farmers to build a park to relax at. Nightmare wanted to see right when they had finished it, and this was the day.

Nightmare finishes up and pokes Cross's arm.

"You can turn around now!" Nightmare chirps as he transforms his crown into a golden choker around his neck, bordering his shirt collar. Cross nods and brings Nightmare to the throne room. The two then leave the castle, and Nightmare skips his way there.

Nightmares face turned to awe as he saw the giant trees and statues in the park. He squeals and runs through the park, the grey werewolf following, sniffing at trees and plants.

Nightmare giggles and turns back to Cross.

"Its so lovely!"

Cross nods, and smiles down at his King. Nightmare locked eyes for a minute with him, just smiling. Cross could feel his heart thumping, and then gulps and scratches the back of his head.

"M-My Lord, let us go meet the farmers and thank them now."

Nightmare giggles and nods.

"Alright! Whats your favorite flower here-"

They chat as they walked, laughing to each other, and enjoying one anothers company.

Nothing could ever go wrong.

Right..?

Me: *sees article of deer having Coronavirus* Welp, there goes my deer burgers.

My brain: *imagines two deer with a hunter stalking them*

Deer 1: Quick Billy! A hunter! Use the newest disguise!

Deer: *insert coughing and hacking here-*
