So I've got an 11/20 fic since today (er, yesterday) was 11/20, but I kind of want to sit on it until I'm done with BTM. I've got two more chapters of that written, but I think I'll wait until I have all of the remaining chapters finished to release them. I'm sure if people are waiting for it to be finished, getting a notification that it's ACTUALLY DONE would be nice to see. So there you go, all ten of you, this poorly informed decision is for you! :)

So that means there's only like, four left? It's nice to be able to go in and make little changes here and there if I remember something. I'm a little apprehensive, since I still have a hard time judging if something I post is good or not. Sometimes, I really feel happy with something before I post it. Most of the time, I have my doubts if what I've written is actually any good. I haven't heard any complaints or critiques, sooo...

But ya know, that's just how it is making stuff and posting it on the internet. You think it's shit, but someone likes it. A person's worst critic is themselves.

my advice to kids on the internet is don't get too attached to your username and absolutely do not blend your offline life with your online presence. you do not want your future self to have any connection to the stuff you are saying and doing right now

you don't have the privilege of every embarrassing thing you said being lost to a defunct bbcode forum like my generation did. please, please leave yourself the opportunity for a clean slate. you'll thank yourself later.

warning for discord users

If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!

This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!
