I hate that depression can just say "fuck you, I'm taking your senses"

Like, obviously not the whole sense, but it can just decide that from now on until some undetermined time it can make any taste bland, any sensation boring, like it just washes out anything interesting about the senses and traps you in the purgatory of "somewhere in the middle"

I'd rather have overwhelming hatred, sadness, anxiety or anything really, instead of genuine apathy for even my senses, my experiences.
