It’s the one that gets away

That burns us to our core

Parts of our existence that

We never knew before

No More

My sadness filled the empty street

No will remained for living

My battered heart that lost its beat

Left no more love for giving

Loneliness

Loneliness trods the vacant street

As empty souls lose their beat
