The Joy of Life - A Season comes to an end Part 3 - New Year’s Eve

We left off last part where Jasper and Rosemary had a fight because he’d be in Del Sol Valley for a shoot and miss the celebration of the new year (and into his birthday). Finn and Briar had fun at prom but came home early to keep Rosie and Peony company.

The kids took Rosemary’s mind off of her fight with Jasper. Even Peony came downstairs in her PJ’s because what would be a dance party without the little princess? They danced and laughed until 3 a.m. No calls from Jasper came, not even at midnight.

Meanwhile in Del Sol Valley, poor Jasper had to partner up with Brian Blake, of all people. Acting as a sim dying wasn’t too hard after that kiss… The shoot went on until 4 a.m. and everyone was starving afterwards.

Jasper and his fellow colleagues went out to dine afterwards. Seated between non-stop talking Jillian and Judith, and especially after that filming session, Jasper needed a drink and had a few too many over the course of the evening. At least his best friend Christian Harper sat across from him to block off the actresses hitting on Jasper constantly from both sides. He was oblivious to their flirting though, trying to stick to small talk and getting along with everyone. Brian kept saying mean things about Rosie (which he always did). Jasper preferred not to confront him about that and stayed quiet.

The group went to the Nightclub and stayed there until the wee hours of the morning early. The club was exclusive to celebrities, so partying without paparazzi around was fun, at least.

1. I‘m a huuge disney fan, not so much these days (just didn’t have time to watch the newer movies but will get to it eventually) but I grew up with Disney. I hope that one day my children will grow up like that too 🫶🏻

2. My favorite plant is white jasmine

3. I don’t drink much alcohol, usually only at social gatherings. Then, I prefer sweet white wine

4. I like the dark. It feels cozy. I only light my lights when it’s absolutely necessary.

5. I have curly hair / sometimes wavy (2b). I never knew what to do with my hair in school and looking back, I was basically female Hagrid 😅 Anyways, I got my whole routine perfected now, never again 🧟‍♀️

6. I love coffee. Only have one cup per day, but that cup is a MUST. Otherwise the day can’t start yet 😅

7. I think I already mentioned I‘m obsessed with cats. I mean all my sim families have cats 😂 but soon I‘ll be able to adobt a little kitten and I‘m soooo happy I‘m giddy🙈

8. I have several nutritional allergies and can’t eat much when I‘m out. I enjoy cooking though so it’s not a huge deal!

9. I‘m a very calm person, I crave peace and a harmonious atmosphere. But, if I witness a person disrespecting another, especially if it’s racism or discrimination, I’ll spit fire. I definitely have a temper and it only comes out in moments like that 🧚🏼‍♀️

10. I‘m a yogi 🧘🏻‍♀️ used to do more fitness and swimming but since my illness I‘ve been incredibly exhausted but Yoga feels good and actually helps getting some toned muscles!

The Joy of Life - A Season comes to an end, we’re left with Surprises and a strained Relationship

Early morning in Del Sol Valley… our group of actors is still partying 👀

Jasper tried the bubble blower but whatever someone had put in it, it knocked him out completely.

Well, this was a new development!! Jillian and Brian got extremely flirty, having consumed many many drinks and used the bubble blower on top of it. Good for them 😎

Unfortunately things were anything else than good when Jasper arrived home. He was clearly drunk, filthy and high. Rosemary was extremely disappointed and let him know that he could never, ever do this to her and the kids again. She asked him to quit the actors group and only keep talking to Christian Harper and his wife. Jasper was shocked. He was not in a state to properly reflect on his actions and he hadn’t thought Rosie would make such a big deal about it. It was still his birthday though, so Rosie and him would keep their dispute to themselves. Once he was sober and had a clear mind, they’d talk about everything that happened and try to work on their strained relationship.

Rosemary, the strong independent sim that she was, left Jasper standing in shock and went inside to enjoy her breakfast. She normally didn’t consume much alcohol, but the late developments left her craving something to help her relax.

Note: I don’t condone alcohol consumption and/or using drugs as a form of compensation for the persons‘ feelings, stress etc. I think that should be obvious but just to make it clear 🫶🏻

Also, this dispute was a long way coming, Rosie has had issues with Jasper being with his actors‘ group for years, they’ve never really talked about it. Jasper is a loyal sim but he sometimes lacks empathy and as a good mannered and proper sim, getting along with everyone is very important to him. I had a feeling that at some point, things would blow up and I‘m very excited to see how they‘ll work on their issues! Hope you liked following their journey with me 🩷

Last note lol: I‘ll continue with tjol soonish because I want to get to gen 3 gameplay for the time the new EP comes out! I‘m playing in my personal legacy rn, so I‘ll post a bit about them for a few days and then get back to this family 🫶🏻

Of Tea and Treachery

“How are you, ma’am?” Judith says, sipping tea.

“Oh please, Judith,” Margaux laughed, “We’re friends. Just Margaux.”

“Well, Margaux,” Judith chuckled, “how are you?”

“Doing my last royal duty as my daughter’s regent,” Margaux said. “After that, I’ll be stepping down permanently. Perhaps return to showbiz…”

“It’s been a while since your last project, no?” Judith looked away and up at the blue afternoon sky, “Of Tea and Treachery…”

She returned her gaze to Margaux, who also had her attention elsewhere. Judith and Margaux are more than co-workers–they have been in the limelight for so long, and it’s safe to assume that they are each other’s confidante in their line of work. As a friend though? People say they are, but that’s only what the public sees…

Judith sees every colleague of hers as competition–a tool to use to further her career in show business. And even if this…friend…of hers is far more superior than her when it comes to status, she still sees the Dowager Duchess as a competition and tool.

“I’m also thinking…”

Judith hummed, encouraging her friend to continue.

“Once Julie finally takes office,” Margaux continued, “I want to publicly announce my relationship with Bernie.”

“Your secretary?” Judith inquired.

Margaux nodded. Her smile was small and demure.

Judith scrutinized her, but quickly tried to soften her look when the Dowager Duchess returned her stare.

Judith asked, “And what about the royal family? Will you stay as the Dowager Duchess of your husband? If you announce your relationship with Braxton, that might mean your royal status could get revoked.”

“I mean, we’re not getting married yet,” Margaux says, “but I know my daughter wouldn’t kick me out. I know she’ll support us. Bernie had grown close to the twins, and they also look up to him.”

“Do you love him?”

“I do,” Margaux smiled, giggling a little.

“I’m happy for you, friend,” Judith curtly said.

“I want to have a private engagement party with Bernie. If possible, will you come?”

“Of course.”

“Kristine,” Judith takes a sip of her tea, “I know she’ll keep this engagement party as private as possible, but I’ll convince her to hire a photographer – courtesy of yours truly. She won’t hesitate to agree, if we tell her the pictures will only be sent to them.”

“But you’d like to keep a copy to share,” Kristine says, typing something on her phone. “Something to spread. Something to feed the media.”

“Very good, Kristine,” Judith smiled. “You’re such a reliable PA.”

Kristine only hummed.
