So real. I don't dislike Oatchi either but it does feel like they wanted another cute mascot other then the Pikmin. And there were some balancing issues, I feel like a dog companion ended up making some pikmin types and challenges obsolete.

Pikmin 4 is a super fun game, but I do wish the Rescue Corps were playable characters (or at some of them were). Pikmin 3 is my favourite game in the series, with one of the reasons being how fun it is juggling three playable characters. Granted, it would be excessive having all of them on the field at once, but perhaps they could follow a similar feature as with the Pikmin and allow you to pick two other crew members (or even just one!) to go out alongside your player character.

I don't dislike Oatchi by any means, he is cute and pretty useful, but I'm very much with Dingo on not being too keen on dogs. I rarely find myself utilising Oatchi as a captain, mainly because I find him more useful to have with my character to combine their respective skills. But if I could have another captain on the field, the gameplay would be much more engaging for me personally.

Also maybe it's just me but it's mad that Collin is playable in Dandori Battle and Dingo isn't. Collin is described as not being great with physical labour and Dingo is literally the "help button" for Dandori challenges in the main game-
