Primaris Dante must (not) die edition looks pretty good. Happy to see they remained faithful to the original and didn’t go too overboard with the new primaris look. Rip to all BA players who will absolutely have to pin his foot tho. Also amazed to see him painted in NMM. I want a more aggressive pose from that axe arm but I guess I’ll just have to do it myself lol.

The blue man group is ready for tomorrow’s tournament (sans basing). Not bad for going sprue to painted in 3 hours. Citadel blues are actually quite nice to paint. The client will be giving these back for us to finish blends and edge highlights after this weekend so more finished pics to come.

Look at me little fire warriors dang they so round and cute. Army green tau give me a very metal gear kinda vibe, especially the commanders in the rest of this army. And thank god this army gave me an excuse to use the pink flower tufts I always saw on the studio shelf lol.

Sanguinius won the right to be my next lab rat for practicing with this style, thanks to the people on Twitter c: so here he is

My focus will always be his face and hair, but I had no idea for a pose until I came across this pic once again and decided to recreate it.

My idea would be to make some contrast between bright deep red coming from the base and a light blue shade coming from high, let's see how it goes.

Also, I recommend doing this colors study for everyone who is still new to drawing, it helps a lot. (◕‿◕)

Also, this practicing has taught me that I can't use light/pastel colors. So be it t.t Sanguinius was my last lab rat for pastel colors and he's going to be my lab rat for just normal colors again.

Ps. For those curious about it, I'm currently using the oil painting brushes (both normal and dry) for basically everything. I was terribly bad with them at first, but I'd recommend them. They are good if you want to add textures to your drawings, especially for armors/metal pieces c:

Pps . Ngl I'm happy I don't use the 'anime style' anymore, it didn't matched the way I like to render colors. I'll still use it only if I have to.

Been tasked to paint cursed city in slap chop so I’m having fun experimenting with army painter speedpaints. These models are great and the speedpaints make me feel like I’m painting a coloring book in watercolors. Still have metallics left to do but most of the base colors are finished. Wanted to try and go for a more colorful and high contrast take on the characters vs the original box art. Highly recommend speedpaints!
