"The world will always be a dangerous place, Jon. Surely reading these statements has taught you nowhere is really safe." The world was not without it's fear, and sure, they witnessed the extreme minority here, but were people really any better than what they feared?

Elias folded his arms, shifting from one foot to the other. Jon wanted to know more, but there just wasn't anything clear. Elias silently cursed Gertrude for keeping things in such a state. She hindered his progress in so many ways. He was sure she was laughing from wherever she was. He hoped burning.

"I have been doing everything in my power," he shot back, defensive now, "I've given you statements that should help. I've been trying to help push you in the direction you need to be."

Jonah Magnus is just the pawn who got it right. He got what he wanted, alright, but the question is if he feels the cost is worth it?

jon saying that most of the other archivists went a similar way to gertrude implies that jonah magnus had a habit of murdering his archivists whenever they started to threaten to fuck his shit up. which is funny in contrast to how he presents himself as a enigmatic puppet master pulling the strings from behind the scenes when in reality the moment anyone starts to pose a threat to him he’s like “oh god oh fuck guess it’s uhhhh time for some brutal pipe murder”

Elias just raised his eyebrows when Jon began to argue. So displeased, even as Elias tried to point him in the right direction. Jon was so stubborn in that regard, even in his determination. The effort was admirable, but he was burning out quickly. Not to mention how emotional he was.

"Jon, all you're doing is making excuses," Elias's tone was almost scolding, but he realized that a bit too late. He took a quick breath and just sighed, "You're doing all you can. So, what have you learned? Do you even understand what it is you read in the statements? The Unknowing gets closer every day, you are running out of time."

The Stranger was persistent, but Jon needed to be more so. It was bad enough he allowed his assistants to wander off wherever it was they went, wherever they managed to hide themselves from Elias. At this rate he was more likely to die himself. Elias didn't want to start over, not when they were so close. Just... A little more.

"Kidnapping and murder should be the least of your worries right now."

I think.. my favorite think Elias has said was just simply “Be seeing you.” to Martin as he was being arrested. Because I know-- I just know-- he had that huge shit eating grin on his face because seeing them is literally all he’s going to do from his cell. The inside joke energy is so strong and I just love it. 

For Zenyatta: Count three blessings.

There was the sound of a long, mechanical him that was somewhere between the sound of a motor running idle and the forced sound from someone lost in thought. He even lifted a metal finger to tap idly at his chin, making the softest clang as he did. It was tough to narrow it down, to think of just a few. But, some things jumped to mind right away.

"In the broadest of terms," Zenyatta spoke, his tone, though grating and mechanical, somehow light and whimsical, the lights on his head flickering as he began, dropping his hand back with the other in front of him, "My brothers and sisters, the world around me, and my students. All are blessings as all are beautiful and unique in their own ways. To specify it any further than that would be like picking favorites. I do not think that is fair when I care for and appreciate them all equally."
