Why Did God Decide To Come Down To Earth With Us?
Why did god decide to come down to earth with us?
wanted to feel full. wanted a mom. wanted to love and be loved in fleshy, leaky ways. wanted, most of all, to kill himself. owed it all to the prophets whose bodies broke under him centuries before

An Update on Siraj's Fundraiser
Siraj (@siraj2024) has asked me to share some more about his story with you all. He's been setting smaller, $10k goals for his GFM and recently reached $20k, alhamdulilah! His next goal is to hit $30k, and I know we can get him there together.
He sent me this message and asked me to share it:
"We are a family of five members, a husband, wife, and 3 children, who are experiencing the harshest kinds of suffering in the ongoing war on Gaza. Suddenly, suddenly, without warning, without warning messages, warplane and artillery missiles rained down on us from every direction! For a few minutes, it was the story of our displacement, forced displacement, fleeing from death to death, children screaming, adults suffering, without anything left except our souls that are tired of all this crime! After our sixth displacement, my family lives in extremely hot tents, full of epidemics and diseases, lacking the minimum necessities of life, and unfit for human living. What we are asking is to help us build our home to get out of the bitter and difficult life in tents. Help us, you are our great hope."

Siraj and his family have gone through unimaginable suffering, and they are asking for our help. Please donate what you can to their fundraiser; if you don't have the means, copy the link and send it to someone you know who can donate. Reblog Siraj's posts and share his GFM with others. His next goal is extremely attainable, so let's get him there as quickly as possible!
Please note that Siraj's GFM has been vetted and verified and can be found in line 223 (labeled 219) of this google doc.
i think they should allow everyone in the world to vote in american elections
"scythes are impractical as a weapon" ok but does anything else have the Cunt. i think not
I rly hate the Satanic Panic & the moral panic surrounding violence in video games in the 90s, coz it's now impossible to talk about the social implications of violent video games in a realistic sense.
No, violence in video games does not create serial killers in the way most people imagine it would.
However, it's very important to notice how after 9/11, a lot of violent video games pivoted their content from silly gratuitous cartoon gore to more realistic military shooters set in the Levant from a US American lens. It's also important to notice the connection of these games & their toxic online multi-player voice chats to Gamer Gate in 2014.
It's obviously not as black & white as it was presented in the 80s & 90s, I dont think everyone who played early Call of Duty games is a white supremacist who wants to join the military to kill people in the middle east, but I think it's dangerous to pretend like video games or any media can't have an impact on the way people think about violence.
I think what makes all the difference here is how that violence is portrayed, what the message behind it is, what the motives are behind the people who crafted that message, who the victims of that violence are, how they are portrayed & the greater cultural context that surrounds it.
