Newest piece for @squarecarousel, our theme this time around was ‘The Sea’.

Challenge 70: The Sea: Rework

So this one was pretty interesting for me. Wanted to rework an old concept I had for one of my college courses but ended up only keeping the basic composition. And then we have the coloring, was gunna do something fun/ vibrant/ and clean but swayed to a grittier/ muted palette. If anything my concept and treatment of this piece changed like the constant back and forth motion of the oceans waves.

There are one or two things I may like to change, but I really like the feel of this piece.

*tweaked some things, a lot happier with it! However, it’s definitely feeling a bit over worked so I’m leaving it alone ;P

Challenge 67: Silver Age: Batman

I dunno how this happened but I’m really liking the end result. Originally planned on making it very similar to the initial cover but ended up just keeping the basic layout and color scheme ( got A LOT darker, but the base is there).

But yeah, It was a lot of fun reimagining Poison Ivy’s debut!! Hopefully I made something that lives up to her name 🌿 *original cover by Carmine Infantino and  Murphy Anderson (Batman #181)
