Is it weird that one of the main reasons I want Percy to show himself again (besides wanting to see if he is happy, smiling, and healthy) is I really want to see if he has done anything with his hair.

I don't know why the thought of it is really intriguing to me.

Has he kept it long? Did he cut it all off? New color? Is it still flawless or is it greasy because of all this stress

I see posts where people feel guilty for not believing the accusers. I think it stems from the history of survivors not being believed from the get-go. And I did see this with this specific situation, where people questioned the timing and motivation before they even considered what actually happened.

The presumption of bad faith on survivors is an issue. Blindly believing their story as fact is not the solution.

Doing mental gymnastics in order to believe the accusers’ stories, or believing them DESPITE known facts or circumstantial evidence, does not make up for those who were harmed in the past and not believed at all.

Condemning PHW DESPITE known facts or circumstantial evidence does not punish those who got away with sexual assault in the past.

In law, there is this concept of de novo, from the new. In appeals, it means the new judges are reviewing the case as if the previous court hadn’t issued its judgement. They look at the case with fresh eyes and make their determination as if it was a brand new and novel trial.

I think for every case of sexual assault, we have to review it as if it is its completely own thing, which it is. Past sexual assault cases have no bearing on current ones. What happened to one person, does not mean it affects another.

The accusers chose social media as their venue and have basically stated it will be their only venue. I have not seen proof that they have any actual intention of going through the courts or to the police. So, what they gave as a timeline and evidence is what we got.

It’s ok to review the evidence they put forth. If you found it to be lacking, then it is what it is.

You don’t owe them MORE consideration because others in the past were given none.

No one should feel guilty because they used critical thinking skills and came to a fair and impartial conclusion.
