On desktop you can use any color you want by switching the editor from "rich text" to "HTML"!
Just copy can paste (span style="color: #000000") "example" (/span) and replace the () with <>
And this website does gradients for you!
Pro tip: Tumblr has removed the menu option for the color yellow but not the color itself. You can go back to a previous yellow post, edit it and copy a yellow letter to use yellow again in a new post, just be sure to hit your left arrow key to go back into the yellow section of the text after pasting.
