"I swear I'll beat up the son of a bitch, just they wait."

Any other normal person would've considered to stay away from you as you growled those words out loud— or would've asked if you were okay from a safe distance. Your bestfriend beside you stilled for a moment, wondering why you were so hellbent on fighting someone and.. who was it? Another naval aviator? Or your soulmate that you always complain about?

Robert Floyd looked over to where you're sitting, curious to what you'll complain about to him. He saw the mix of worry and anger swimming in your eyes as you continue to look at the rectangular strip on your wrist. Before he could even ask, you showed him the orange stripe which is slowly turning red.

On the day a person is born, there's a rectangular shaped color on their left wrist. The color ranges from green, yellow, orange, red, and black. These colors represent on how safe your soulmate is in their current situation. Green being they're completely fine, red means they're in a dangerous situation (which rarely happens for most cases), and black means that there's a high chance for them to get killed in the situation they're in. The stripe will glow when you made a physical contact with your soulmate.

Having the mark, you can deem it as both a blessing and a curse.

Bob scanned your wrist, his eyes clouding with confusion. Was your soulmate a secret spy? In the military? A criminal? Why are they always in danger? The possibilities are endless.

He has to admit that even though it isn't his soulmate, he can still feel a small sense of dread flooding into his system. What more of his best friend sitting beside him? He could only imagine. "I'm sure they'll be fine, it's not the first time. Have faith in them, y/n/n" He says, trying to comfort you as he pats your back gently— albeit a little akwardly, but that's just a normal Bob thing.

You sighed, stress visible on your face as you rubbed your temples. "I swear Robby, my soulmate could die before I even get to meet them." Your mid-western accent slowly surfacing at the end of your sentence. He watched you as you plopped down his bed, sighing loudly.

"Maybe they're doing it as a revenge? I probably scare them when I go on missions. But why would they endanger themself?" You ranted to yourself as Bob looked at you sympathetically. "Y/n/n, how about try getting some sleep? We have to leave for topgun early in the morning.." He said softly. You sighed, agreeing with him. He walked you over to the front of his family's house.

"I'll see you in the morning, Robby." You smiled, waving at him and going over to your house, which is directly across from his.

"Well what do we have here?"

The human ken doll asked, watching amusedly as you neared him and Coyote, Bob silently following behind you.

"Crash! My favorite pilot, missed me?"

Jake greeted you with (as you'd like to call it) his pretty boy smile, you rolled your eyes playfully as you neared the pool table. He gave you a wink as you sat the down next to Bob.

"Statefarm, I was dreading to be flying with you again actually." You shrugged, taking his newly opened beer. A sound of protest goes unheard as you took a swig of the beverage. "You're gonna buy me another beer, Crash. And It's Hangman. I thought we had something special?"

"Whatever." You waved him off, "Go play." Hangman rolled his eyes, you took some peanuts from Bob. "You talk to me as if I'm a dog. You wound me."

You looked up at him and asked, feigning innocence. "But, Isn't that what you are?" A chorus of 'Ooooh's were heard in the background. After a while, Phoenix, Payback, and Fanboy entered the mix.

"Who's he?" Pheonix's eyes darted to Bob who's sitting beside you. "Who's who?" Coyote asked, all of them looked at Bob simultaneously. "Since when did you get here?" Coyote followed up.

Bob looked at them and offered a smile "Oh I've been here with y/n/n." He motioned over to you.

"The man's a stealth pilot." Jake said. "Weapons System Officer, actually." Bob corrected, Jake nodded. "With no sense of humor."

"Hey! you mess with him, you mess with me." You warned them, slinging an arm around Bob. Hangman raised his hands, "I'm just saying."

"Well you better shut that damn mouth, statefarm." Jake just mumbled, talking about grabbing a few more beers and ringing it up on some old timer.

"What do they call you?" Pheonix asked, looking at Robert.

"Bob." He answered, Payback smiled. "No, your callsign."

"Uhhhh.. Bob."

"Bob Floyd, you're my new backseater? From Lemoore?" Pheonix asked, he smiled. "Looks like it, yeah." You patted Bob's shoulder. "I'll be right back, Robby. Just gonna get more beer." You said as you walked over to Penny, finding Jake as he ordered four more beers.

"And you-" he turned around to face you. "-Still owe me one beer." You smirked, "Make that two." As you grabbed one of the few beers he has. You decided to follow him back, seeing an unfamiliar guy sporting a hawaiian shirt and mustache which weirdly as it sounds— looks good on him. You don't know how long you'd been staring at him, time seemed to slow down when you laid your eyes on him.

The moment your eyes met feels like you got your breath knocked out of your lungs.

You're also pretty damn sure you felt the mark pulse.

Renaissance period

Atsumu’s calloused fingertips gently traced the fine details on the wood panel as he admired the warm hues in layer after layer of transparent glazes on top of the underpainting in a neutral brown.

Atsumu himself enraptured by the subject of the painting; his focus shifted from the background to an exquisite raven haired man bathing in earthy tones and smoky colours that added to his allure.

The blond painter’s eyes never left the unfinished piece as he wore a proud grin, before taking a glimpse of the man behind the board; his gaze landed on a ravenette whose princely face bore a placid look.

Atsumu huffed.

“Hey angel, smile for me.”

The unfazed man didn’t bother to let his somber expression waver for a few minutes, sighing before his soft lips twitched; it formed a barely-there smile across his face, “Better?”

Kiyoomi would never admit the chaos in his chest caused by the painter’s attention on him with his brown eyes narrowing due to concentration;his tongue poking out slightly from time to time certainly didn’t help the situation Kiyoomi was in.

Then, Atsumu would blend the shadows and lights, blurring the contours and edges; an art technique Kiyoomi would never know if he hadn’t decided to leave the heaven realm to explore the creation made by their God.

A runaway angel staying under the roof of one of the most talented painters this world has ever known is such a unique incident indeed.

Kiyoomi almost drowned in his thoughts when pulled by Atsumu’s sudden statement, “You can rest now, Omi, your smile and delicate features are now engraved on every corner of my mind.”

“Stop with the unpleasant remarks.”

Atsumu’s brown hues gleamed as he observed the deep stark red creeping across the ravenette’s skin. It pushed the corner of his lips upwards as he let go of his art mediums.

Atsumu walked towards the seated man on the bed with his flushed cheeks, abandoning the unfinished painting, “You’re so red, Omi, your skin probably radiates heat.” He paused, sitting beside the man to set his head on top of his shoulders, “I feel cold.”

Hearing that made Kiyoomi press the back of his palm against his neck. The line of his brows were sewn tightly together when he felt the heat against his hand with Atsumu quivering under his touch.

He carefully cupped the left side of his face; voice falling into a gentle lull, “You have a fever?”

Kiyoomi’s thumb gently caressed his pillowy cheek, forming imaginary circles that made Atsumu close his eyes as he hummed in delight, “I think I do…”

Kiyoomi felt his warm breath against his hand, tugging his heartstrings, before he changed his position; he draped his arms around the smaller figure to pull him closer.

Laying down on the mattress with Atsumu on top of him, he whispers, “So you insisted to continue painting me while being sick, smart move.”

Atsumu exhaled blithely at the phrase dripping off sarcasm. He buried his face deep in his chest as his nose drew in the addicting sandalwood fragrance, “My lover is being mean again…”

Lover, huh. Kiyoomi sighed, despondency gnawing on his skin.

Loving Atsumu was a mistake, at least, that was a statement he would hear from his father, the creator of the world, but he would never believe in that.

Falling in love with Atsumu isn’t a mistake.

It’s a blessing.

No other angel, demon, or human could fill the sinking pits inside himself; Atsumu made him whole.

Atsumu completed his unsolved puzzle— the one who painted colours on his monotonous world, the books that adorned empty shelves, and the missing clue to a difficult case. With that, he would do anything to protect the man in his arms.

Kiyoomi smiled, “Let’s warm you up.”

In an instant, the large bed dipped in time with the ravenette’s glistening wings blooming from his back. It made Atsumu’s amber hues widen in astonishment as the feathery blades softly fanned.

It created a balmy breeze, before it bent inwardly, covering a blond human with its own peculiar warmth as the mortal felt secured in its shades.

Atsumu barely saw any light since he was under a pair of enormous wings, but he could clearly see the angel’s glowing olive green orbs; something illuminated streamed onto his eyes framed by thick curvy eyelashes as a scintlla crossed it.

It casted a shadow below his lower lashes that made the scene ethereal— angelic, Atsumu thought as he felt his heartbeat accelerate, totally mesmerized by a black haired angel.

“You… are beautiful.”

Atsumu unknowingly said as he was quite thankful for the darkness that masked the roses spreading across his cheeks.

He felt himself unable to avert his gaze that made Kiyoomi sigh for the hundredth time as the latter let his slender fingers drown in his blond strands, gently running it down his hair.

Kiyoomi heard a satisfied hum from the other that successfully twisted Kiyoomi’s insides as he resisted the urge to plant a kiss on every inch of his face.

Atsumu drawled, “Omi…” hands reaching for the uppermost corner of his wing. He traced down the larger feathers that were blended intricately with the smaller ones, “Does every angel have black hair?”

Kiyoomi carefully took the hand clinging onto his wing, bringing it near his face before pressing his lips against it, “I’m the only one with black hair.”

Hearing such a statement piqued Atsumu’s interest as he grabbed the opportunity to thumb over Kiyoomi’s bottom lip, eliciting a light gasp from the eternal being as he missed the feeling of his lips pressed against Atsumu.

Kiyoomi closed the distance between them to plant a gentle kiss on his pinkish lips, “Why are you the only one with black hair then?”

“Because I have a different purpose.”

The striking features contorting into confused expressions were patent in Atsumu’s face, resulting in Kiyoomi placing his hand on the side of his head to pull him down; his head resting on top of his chest properly.

“Angels don’t have emotions, they usually have light colored hairs, they share the same purpose, and that is to watch over the human realm and to keep the peace between heaven and hell.”

“And how are you different, Omi?”

Kiyoomi squeezed his eyes shut, and Atsumu could feel how the former tensed, causing him to hold his hand tightly, silently reassuring the ravenette that brought a small smile upon his face.

He continued, “…God created me, an angel with emotions like him. He created me to stay by his side, to accompany him, to talk to him…That was my only purpose.”

That’s his only purpose?

Every word from Kiyoomi fueled the scorching fire boiling Atsumu’s blood, burning rage hissed through his body as the ends of his eyebrows became inseparable.

Atsumu imagined how his angel was once deprived of freedom, but then Atsumu realized something crucial, “Then, Omi, now you’re not doing what you’re supposed to… what will happen?”

The eternal being was unable to answer.

The lack of response from the other made Atsumu push him slightly, amber hues meeting his olive green ones coated in fear. It did nothing but form deep lines on his forehead with his eyebrows furrowed as he gritted his teeth, “Omi… wh– what will happen…?”

Atsumu’s voice came out trembling, weak, and terrified. Was Kiyoomi ready to tear his heart into pieces?

Falling in love with Atsumu isn’t a mistake, it’s a blessing.

A blessing that comes at a price.

Kiyoomi sighed blissfully, cupping Atsumu’s face as he wanted to erase all the worries away— staring at the blond above him was like allowing an arrow to pierce his heart.

Gazing deep into his glistening hues, Kiyoomi felt the need to lift his mood as his wings pulled him closer again, letting his body rest on top of the angel, “You’re still sick, remember? Just stay there and let me do the talking.”

The ravenette’s heart tightened when he felt his lover tremble under his feathery blades, feeling Atsumu’s hand clutch the side of Kiyoomi’s garment.

However, he still continued to gobble down the growing guilt inside him, “Hey Atsumu? Remember the time we first met? You were an idiot back then… but now? You’re still an idiot.”

“Omi…”

An irritated groan slipped past Atsumu’s lips, earning a chortle from Kiyoomi who slowly traced the former’s spine, sending a warm surge of electricity down it as his fingertips moved in an up and down motion.

Kiyoomi received a positive hum from the blond. The angel speaks, “You were about to walk inside your home when I saw the illustration you were holding… it was beautiful, so… I decided to barge in your house.”

Kiyoomi sighed, remembering all the embarrassing things he had done, “And I told you I was an angel and you believed me right away.”

“…You looked like one.”

“Thank you for believing me Atsumu… thank you for letting me in your life.” but now a part of me wished you didn’t.

Atsumu inhaled sharply, “…You’re talking as if you're… going away…”

Sakusa wrapped his arms around his figure tighter, lips parting, wanting to say words— words that were trapped in his thickened throat for a long while, “Because, maybe I really am going away, Atsumu…”

Hearing that made the blond’s eyes shot open. He didn’t have the courage to look at his angel, inhaling his soothing scent deeply as if he was trying to stipple  every detail about Kiyoomi in his heart and brain.

Atsumu squeezed his hand as he pleaded, “Please live… With me.Can’t you just live?”

Atsumu’s voice was similar to that of a broken record, it rang in Kiyoomi’s ears as blood-curdling thoughts rapidly swarmed his mind.

With his shaky lips, he gathered air, then exhaling as if to release all the fear he had stored in his body,

“…For you, I’ll live.”

Kiyoomi wasn’t lying.

But the whole truth remained a mystery.

And so, the statement that managed to calm Atsumu’s heartbeat at a rate of knots did damage to the ravenette. He swallowed a lodge in his dry throat; it was getting hard to breathe.

Was Kiyoomi ready to tear his lover’s heart into pieces?

Was he ready to tell Atsumu that he only has a week left?

Realizing that was like unlocking the window of his soul, allowing the tears to pour, trickling like an unfettered river that slowly dampened their pillow as he made sure he’s out of Atsumu’s field of view.

He silently released the prisoners inside his trembling figure as he held the man on top of him tightly.

Kiyoomi didn’t want to let go.

He’s scared. He didn’t want to be terminated by the head of the heavens. He doesn’t want to go. He doesn’t want to leave Atsumu… alone.

Kiyoomi felt selfish.

As diamond dews stained his face, he did his best to bore a smile as he knew that Atsumu fell asleep on top of him. He ran his fingers down his silky blond locks, treasuring the moment while it lasted.

“…I wish you’ll forget me.”

Kiyoomi let out a heavy sigh, biting his lip as he remembered the conversation he shared with his father, the creator of the world, years ago.

The supreme being made him choose between Atsumu and God. It was such a daft question. If he chose his father, Atsumu will be the one who’ll die, but if he chose the painter, he’s the one who has to bear the consequences.

It was obvious that Kiyoomi would choose Atsumu and his father knew that; he didn’t want the angel back, he wanted him gone. But so what? if leaving the world is what it takes to save the one Kiyoomi cherishes, then so be it.

The memory of his father telling him that he would give him another year before he vanishes was already the start of the punishment.

A punishment where he would have to be with the one he loves as he hides the fact that he’ll leave his treasured one soon inside a box, burying it deep in his heart, locking it with all of his might— but now it was useless.

It was slowly having cracks, slowly getting known; it was the truth that Kiyoomi would want to remain unrevealed, hoping that he could make Atsumu hate him before he go, but ah, he’s selfish, isn’t he?

Then, the room that was cloaked by the mellow glows of the dazzling sun were now replaced by a creeping faint blue of the atrabilious moonlight.

It took a day for Atsumu to recover, then another second passed, minutes, hours, days— seeing the darkness of the night defeat the radiance of the day was enough to terrify a certain ravenette to the core.

And tonight was another night to shower Atsumu with affection, wanting to drown him in his pool of ecstasy, wanting to erase all the worries that dragged him down as they fill the once somber home with titters.

Kiyoomi bathed a blond painter with compliments that never failed to plant plum blossoms on his soft cheeks.

The raven haired angel would like to stop time, wanting to stare at Atsumu for years— years he would never have— letting his narrowed eyes soak in the details of his lover’s features as he hid his restless energy beneath his placid exterior.

Kiyoomi scrutinized Atsumu’s soft pinkish lips that curled upwards, revealing his pearly whites as the latter looked up to him with his arms wrapped around Kiyoomi’s waist.

The ravenette took in a deep breath; his fettered desires of wanting to press his lips against Atsumu’s soft ones were slowly breaking its manacles, but he, with all of his might, managed to restrain it.

After all, he knew that once their lips connected, he wouldn’t be able to let go, which wasn’t good, especially when he’ll meet his end after a half an hour.

11:30 PM.

“Omi…”

The nickname rolled off smoothly on Atsumu’s tongue. His arms were almost getting tired of wrapping it around Kiyoomi’s figure as they remained standing with the angel’s gaze fixated on him.

Kiyoomi found himself trapped in Atsumu’s amber colored eyes that almost couldn’t contain the overflowing adoration and care it held.

But that wasn’t the only thing he saw; tiny bits of dejection was mixed together with the admiration that blanketed his brown orbs, and that sight pierced Kiyoomi’s heart.

He felt it tightening. Hiding important things from Atsumu was taking a toll on him, he wasn’t quite sure if he would be able to get the words out of his system, so he didn’t even bother.

Kiyoomi lifted both of his hands to cup the blond’s face, holding his world.

“Omi? Something is wrong, right…?”

Atsumu asked in a forlorn tone; it was filled with worries that Kiyoomi wanted to take away, wanting to crash his lips onto Atsumu’s mouth, wanting to take the blooming anxiety in his figure, but not now, “…Let me just look at you.”

The ravenette wasn’t a fan of physical contact; Atsumu changed that.

For now, he would want to appreciate the person who gave him a sense of joy, and the one who occupied the empty space of his once apathetic heart.

Kiyoomi would trade the world for Atsumu, but he wouldn’t trade him for the world, wanting to hold him in his arms forever, if possible… but it wasn’t.

Kiyoomi’s arms tightened around Atsumu as the fragrant blend of apples and violets wafted up to him, feeling the heavenly bliss crawl across his body along the unique warmth the painter radiated, “Atsumu…? You need to forget me.”

Usually, Kiyoomi’s gravelly voice would send a warm surge of electricity down his spine, but this time, it only made Atsumu’s heart drop as it beat fast.

“Omi, You’re scaring me…”

“No, listen to me, you need to–”

Atsumu inhaled sharply, “Forget you? Are you crazy? What are you even talking about?! Tomorrow I’ll remember you, after 10 years I’ll still remember you, 100 years, 500 or even after centuries, my choice is to remember you.”

The painter gripped the back of the angel’s garment as the veins in his hand were visible, not being gallant enough to meet Kiyoomi’s pensive olive green eyes.

Instead, he buried his face in the crook of the other’s neck as he patiently waited for the ravenette’s response, but it never came.

“O-omi…?”

Kiyoomi bit his lip, staring hardly at the plain wooden floor, before he took a glimpse of the window beside them.

In an instant, his eyes revealed the fear when he was greeted by the thought of the sun slowly reaching the rim of the hills, soon replacing the deep blues of the heavens with its light hues.

“Atsumu…I’m scared.”

That was all it took for Atsumu to slightly push his angel, gulping down as if to devour the horror that aimed to engulf him whole as his brown eyes squinted at the ravenette.

Seeing the glint in Kiyoomi’s eyes, the deeply furrowed brows that formed lines on his forehead, and the unpleasant twitch in his lips splashed Atsumu with the cold bucket of desolation, freezing him; he had never seen Kiyoomi like this.

Atsumu’s lips parted; he wanted to say something, ask something, but all he could do is gaze at the trembling angel.

The ravenette gently took a hold of his shaky hand, filling the gaps between his fingers with his slender ones as he took a deep breath before closing the distance of his lips and the back of Atsumu’s palm.

With his blazing gaze, Kiyoomi set the painter on fire, “Kiss me?”

It didn’t even sound like a question as it came out breathy with a hint of desperation.

It was enough to silence Atsumu’s thoughts, lips rapidly landing on the soft pinkish surface the moment the words left his angel’s mouth.

Kiyoomi wanted time to stop.

And he felt it happen the moment Atsumu’s lips brushed against his— taking swift glances as he saw the haze in the blond’s darkened eyes.

It did nothing but raise the heat pooling low in his stomach; it traveled north— to the chest dipped in ecstasy. They basked in the glow of a dull midnight as their hands found their ways to each other’s locks.

Atsumu stirred the angel’s emotions as the latter admired how his fingers drowned in his dark strands, pulling him closer, making the gaps between them non-existent.

They felt their warm breaths intensify the flutters in their heart, wanting— needing to travel a familiar explored area.

The ravenette lightly bit Atsumu’s bottom lip, nibbling it before he parted his lips invitingly. Kiyoomi swore he heard Atsumu make a sound as the blond felt his pressing like a painter’s brush against his wooden panels.

The angel conquered the depths of his mouth, feeling his whole body tingle when his intoxicating aroma filled his nostrils to the brim.

Kiyoomi embraced the smaller figure, feeling himself washed over by a wave of warmth— it was as if no one else mattered besides them.

The moon, the starlights, the skyscrapers and everything else will all be crushed into smaller pieces, breaking into bits and ashes that’ll soon be carried away by the clammy breeze. It slowly dissipates into nothing.

Just like what’s currently happening to a certain angel.

Breathy pants filled the room when they parted as Kiyoomi’s lips formed a small smile, momentarily forgetting about him disappearing soon.

He felt himself jump in cloud nine before Atsumu threw him the truth.

Atsumu’s face was painted with bewilderment, pain, and fear— widened amber hues penetrated through thick layers of the angel’s skin.

Atsumu wasn’t supposed to see the painting behind Kiyoomi because the angel is right in front of him, he’s there, so how could he see past through him? Why?

“…Why are you… fading?”

For Kiyoomi, that single question was a fatal blow; it was the key that unlocked the cage containing his tears, and it came pouring down on his translucent, half-transparent pale face.

Kiyoomi couldn’t help but allow Atsumu to see him in such a state as it was impossible to keep it in.

Atsumu’s hand trembled as it desperately reached the angel’s face, letting out a sigh of relief when his fingers made in contact with Kiyoomi’s skin, but he abruptly noticed what was wrong— he didn’t feel his warmth.

It was as if he wasn’t there.

It managed to shatter his heart as he felt his knees weaken, repeatedly touching the ravenette as he sought for the familiar feeling, but there was none.

“Omi…? What should we do? Are you disappearing a-are you…” Atsumu’s voice broke in time with his tears escaping his eyes dipped in panic, “Kiyoomi, please…”

The angel never heard the painter call him by his full name, and now that he did, he felt an urge to take him in his arms as he squeezed his eyes shut.

Kiyoomi let his tears drench his blond locks, embracing him for one last time, before he dissolves into nothing, “I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”

Was that kiss, a goodbye kiss?

The apologies did nothing but clench Atsumu’s heart as his tears streamed down like an unrestrained waterfall, “Omi, you can’t do this… if you die, I die–”

“Wrong.”

The sudden interruption knitted the line of Atsumu’s brows, wanting to push him away slightly and prove him wrong, but was startled when his fingertips went through the air.

His eyes goggled at the almost transparent ravenette, “Kiyoomi? Don't…”

The angel smiled sadly, “If you die, I die.”

My heart beats for you— it has always belonged to you.

Your heart and mine became one and inseparable, so won’t you live for me too?

As it is a way for me to stay.

Atsumu wasn’t sure if he understood what Kiyoomi meant, but he chose to focus on another thing: the angel’s hand had fully morphed into a breeze of silver scintillated dusts that slowly vanished.

Atsumu reached out with both hands, wanting to sink his skin deeper into his— but he couldn’t even hold him. Desperate, he shouts, “You told me you’ll live for me!”

Half of Kiyoomi’s face turned into luminous dusts that fled along midnight air, but that didn’t stop him to express the love he has for Atsumu with his remaining green eye,

“For you I’ll live…”

The angel spoke softly, so soft that it was almost unheard. However, there were more words that left his mouth, but it didn’t have any sound.

Atsumu wanted to hear him, he tried to close the distance between their bodies, but before he even wrapped his arms around him, billions of silver dusts greeted him.

Atsumu’s mouth hung open as his hugging position remained, but he was holding nothing, it was empty, and he didn’t have any energy to move his limbs suffering in languor.

Atsumu only stared blankly at the luminous remnants of his angel who is now gone.

His angel who is never coming back.

The sobs that were once trapped in his throat all came out filling every corner of his now mundane home.

It was like a dam bursting open, releasing all the pain he hid in his figure as he sat down, feeling himself heavy and suffocated.

He tried to hold the glowing silvers but it always disappears the moment he touches them, “Kiyoomi…”

He was unable to move for a long time, but he had already decided to live on— it is what his angel wants, and for him, he would do anything.

But no matter what, he refused to forget the one who embraced his life with jubilation.

With tears running down on his face, he— with all of his energy left— walked towards the unfinished painting of his lover. He picked up the sanguine chalk to get into the delicate details of the faces and expressions, adding the last layer of glazes on top.

He was determined to get it done as this art piece was the key for Atsumu to remember Kiyoomi no matter how many years, centuries even, would pass.

Louvre Museum, modern day.

The 24 year old blond didn’t know what entered his mind when he told his brother that he’ll visit one of the biggest tourist attractions in Paris.

He still had zero idea on why his heart was about to explode in his chest out of enthusiasm and excitement as he, for a short moment, remained frozen in front of the bridge sitting along the banks of the Seine River that would lead him to the baroque-styled palace.

Beads of perspiration stood out on Atsumu’s forehead as his heart thumped in ecstasy and nervousness for some reason he didn’t know.

A lot of paintings behind bulletproof glasses were aesthetically scattered against the walls of the museum, but there was only one painting that seemed like a magnet. It attracted him.

Atsumu then read the name of the painting that was written under it, “He, who basked in glory…?”

Atsumu’s calloused fingertips wanted to trace the fine details on the wood panel as he admired the warm hues in layer after layer of transparent glazes on top of the underpainting in a neutral brown.

Atsumu himself enraptured by the subject of the painting; his focus shifted from the background to an exquisite raven haired man bathing in earthy tones and smoky colours that added to his allure.

But what he didn’t understand was: why did a tear pour from the window of his soul? Why did his heart crack at the sight of an angelic ravenette who wore a familiar barely-there smile that took him back to the 16th century?

Perhaps, Atsumu would never know why he said the words, “I miss you.”

Perhaps he would never know why a line said by someone invaded his mind— a line he didn’t got to hear before, but was insanely familiar,

“For you I’ll live… and for you, I’ll leave… but Atsumu, knowing you, I’ll never be gone.”

And perhaps, one day, he would be able to keep his promise of remembering a certain angel even after countless centuries.

For remembering him, also meant that he’ll stay— stay in his memories, and in his heart.

He, who basked in glory,

will never be gone.

Dreaming Of Their S/o Cheating Even Though They're Not In A Relationship Hcs

★ :: sano manjiro.

this guy will be all pouty for the whole day, as well as purposely ignoring you when you're there

there are times when you'll catch him glaring your way and whenever you give him a small smile and a wave, he'll puff his cheeks and look away

naturally, you felt guilty and you began thinking of the possible reasons that may have caused his odd behaviour towards you

in the end, though, you couldn't think of one decent reason

in hopes to ease up the tension between the two of you and so you could properly apologize to him for... whatever mistake you might have done to offend him, you decided to approach him, facing the problem head on

"mikey, are you mad at me?"

the boy will huff like a child and glare at you, though it isn't as intense as when he's really really angry so this may be a sign that he's just having his normal mikey tantrum

"you!" he will point accusingly at you and you gulped the lump that was stuck in your throat. the members of toman that heard his shout stopped whatever they were doing to watch the scene unfold.

"why would you cheat on me in my dreams, huh? was i not enough for you?! why would you cheat on me with kenchin of all people!"

crickets

silence

"...what?"

you could hear baji laughing in the background, followed by a few more members. mikey didn't seem to notice this, however, and kept his lips pursed.

"kenchin is too tall for you! you'll have to get a stool when you kiss. don't you think that's too much of a hassle?! i'm better suited for you, you know—"

you heard draken's loud huh?! among the loud laughters from your little crowd, and mitsuya's comforting slap on his back. don't mind.

"but mikey..."

he turns to you, "don't go making excuses-"

"we're not dating though..."

baji explodes, clutching his stomach as he wheezed, knees buckling at the ground. several members of toman followed suit, laughing their asses off at the scene.

mikey's cheeks reddened as he registered what you had said, opting to shut up for once and look away. his pout deepened in embarassment, his eyes not meeting yours.

"you— wheeze you dumbass! that love confession is so uncool!" mikey throws his shoe at the laughing baji

Dreaming Of Their S/o Cheating Even Though They're Not In A Relationship Hcs

★ :: ryuguji ken.

unlike mikey, he's very blunt and direct. his anger is evident by the way his nose scrunched up and eyebrows furrowed as he marched your way.

your chat with mikey was cut short when you could see his tall figure from your peripheral vision, the heavy sounds of his footsteps reaching your ears.

mikey only sits beside you, curiously staring at his bestie. the random conversation you both had was now long forgotten

"oh? ken!" you give him a big smile, waving your hand

draken had to stop walking for a minute to collect himself. he gives himself a pep talk in his mind, channelling all his jealousy in his veins.

there is no time to go soft over your cute little smile! no, sir! he's angry! very angry!

"are you okay?"

okay, so maybe only very slightly angry.

draken stopped walking when he finally reached you. his eyes downcast, staring into your concerned ones, shining in the sun.

he breathes to collect himself once again.

"why did you cheat on me?"

mikey chokes on his dorayaki, eyes blown wide as he looks at you and draken. you're in a relationship?! he screeched, but he was completely ignored.

you blinked, sweat rolling down your forehead.

"pardon?"

draken takes a step forward, and you took a step back. his shadow loomed over you like a fucking building, and you were reduced to a cowering mess, confused at what's going on.

"i saw you cheat on me in my dream, and i remember chifuyu saying about how dreams can be considered predictions. why would you cheat on me, huh? did i do something wrong?"

you let out a confused noise. your back hitting a wall, draken cornered you with his arms propped up in each side of your head.

he stares at you, waiting for your answer.

"but ken... i don't know how to say this..." you stuttered, breaking eye contact and began fiddling with your fingers. "we're... not in a relationship...."

mikey then tells this story to the members who weren't present, and draken ignored you for a few days because the embarassment was eating him alive.

Dreaming Of Their S/o Cheating Even Though They're Not In A Relationship Hcs

★ :: baji keisuke.

very verbal but he's also very aggressive???

he sits beside you one day, arms crossed and his eyes boring holes at mitsuya's head who only glanced at him in confusion.

he will continuously tap his foot impatiently, waiting for you to ask him what he's deal. when you decided to just leave him be so he could let his head cool down from whatever's getting him riled up, he'll be the one to initiate a conversation with you.

very loudly, might i add

"WHAT DOES MITSUYA HAVE THAT I DON'T?!"

his outburst almost had you jumping from your seat, heart racing in fright. mitsuya, who heard his name, turned to look, and this time, he watched in amusement as baji continued to glare at him.

not knowing why he's being the way he is and thinking he wasn't seriously asking you that, you jokingly told him everything, followed by a chuckle.

fucking clueless. clueless, that's what you were.

your answer only fuelled his anger ten times and you could practically feel the fire that enveloped his figure.

"IS THAT WHY YOU CHEAT ON ME? DID YOU DO SOME VOODOO SHIT TO SHOW ME JUST HOW MUCH YOU PREFER THAT SHITHEAD OVER ME? ARE YOU A FUCKING WITCH—"

"baji what"

"...voodoo shit...?"

you cleared your throat, heat rushing up your neck. you placed a hand on his in an attempt to calm him down. which is quite effective since he finally stopped glaring at his friend to look at you with hurt swimming in his eyes.

"kei, what's wrong?" you asked, and he scoffed. his eyebrows twitched just thinking about it.

"i dreamt about you cheating on me, with mitsuya of all people! you— huh? why are you laughing? you think this is funny?!"

bringing your hands up to caress his cheeks, baji leans in and melts under your touch. you chuckled, giving him a light-hearted smile.

"but kei, we're not in a relationship. remember?"

oh fuck

expect dozens of news about burnt cars for the following days because he simply cannot fanthom how stupid he was.
