Harry Oneshot Based On The Song Gold Rush By Taylor Swift?? I Always Associate That Song With Him Because
harry oneshot based on the song gold rush by taylor swift?? i always associate that song with him because no joke he captured my entire heart and soul he's so... i can't even begin to describe him.
maybe this could take place during 6th year/hbp and the reader secretly grew to have a deep admiration for him since the triwizard tournament. she yearns for him, holds him in a higher regard than practically anyone else at that school, but doesn't dare to pursue the crush because he is simply too unattainable. and harry, although nobody knows, quietly returns the feelings, viewing her in the same "gold rush" light. (ngl i'm imaging the reader to still be filipina and ravenclaw but really, it's up to you :D)
i think i'm rambling at this point but some details i thought of are stuff sort of relating to/referencing the lyrics like "At dinner parties / I call you out on your contrarian shit" meant engaging in witty conversation with harry during the slug club's dinner parties... and yeah that's it xx
Tbh, I can relate; I associate songs with a character that captures my heartđđ»ââïžđ«Ł I also listen to songs when I write fics, it helps me think and get in the mood (also feeds my delusion-) Now, I havenât really listened to gold rush, I sat down and listened to it, (Iâm a mirrorball and archer girlie) I hope I did this fic some justice, Thank you for requesting, honey! Sorry it took so longđŁ (Youâre making me fall in love with him honestly)
Glint of Gold
Pairing: Harry Potter x Fem! Reader CW: None that I could think of. Possibly some typos/grammatical errors as I literally published this the second I finished writing. Summary: Youâve always felt entranced with the boy who lived- You held Harry in such a high regard it seemed that he belonged in the stars. Harry, who was marked by destiny and burdened by battles, sees you too- a glimmering presence in his gloomy and stormy world, a rush of gold in a grey.

Harry James Potter; the boy who lived. The beacon of light, hope, and resilience. His very name was a symbol of survival against immeasurable odds. It was no wonder that he was admired, he has this talent for pulling people in.
In the eyes of the world, he was the chosen one, the hero of a story still being written. But to you, he was Harryâjust Harry. The boy with the lightning scar, the untidy hair, and the earnest eyes that held galaxies of unspoken emotions. You saw beyond the legend, unearthing another layer to the boy who laughed and loved, who felt pain and loss.
You know everybody wants him. Everybody wondered what it would be like to be noticed, loved, or be deemed important to him. It is a certain thought that made negative emotions swirl inside you, but who are you to judge? Youâre one of those people, it would make you a hypocrite.
In the golden glow of the great hall, you watch him across your houseâs table. Murmurs of hushed conversations were strewn across the vastness of the hall, clinking of silverware across the tables was nothing compared to the sound of your heartbeat pulsing in your ears as your eyes were met with his.
You tried to deny it, but you wanted him. It might sound stupid but the only thing thatâs holding you back is the fear of the unknown, the what-ifs swirled and haunted your thoughts. What if he saw you as nothing more than a fellow student? What if your feelings were as invisible as a Disillusionment Charm? Â What if you were just another face in the crowd to him? The idea of rejection was paralyzing.
Youâd rehearse conversations in your mind, imagining witty banter and shared secrets. Yet, when faced with Harryâs actual presence, your tongue would twist into knots, and youâd blurt out something absurd like, âDid you know that Hippogriffs can dance the waltz?â Making Harry chuckle and you a blushing mess as you stammered the next words that came to mind.
You were known for your wit, yet words failed you every time you tried to speak to him. He was Harry Potter, and you were just another student who admired him from afar.
âHarryâs quite good looking, yeah?â Your friend casually comments, eyeing you as she eats some of her pudding for dessert. Your eyes widened, feeling your heartbeat quicken, words spewed out of your mouth, desperately trying to defend yourself.
âHuh?!? I wasnât looking at him- honest!â
Your other friend shot you a knowing look, âSure, whatever helps you sleep at night, Y/n.â
But as you lay in your bed that night, staring at the canopy above, you couldn't help but let your mind wander to the possibility of 'what if he knows me? Likes me?'. The thought sent a thrill through you, a rush of adrenaline that felt like flying. You imagined the softness of his smile, how the warmth of his hands holding yours will also warm your heart, and the way your name sounded when it rolls off his tongue.
Being invited to Professor Slughornâs Slug Club dinner party came as a surprise for you. Although you were delighted since that would mean youâll have an excuse to mingle with other students (read as Harry, lol.). The room buzzed with chatter, but none of that mattered as you were immersed in the conversation between you, Harry, and the other students.
You finally found your voice, leaning in, a mischievous glint was present in your eye. "You know, Harry," she teased, "for a guy who's all about breaking rules, your take on potions is pretty out there."
Harry's laughter was infectious, the kind that made you want to join in. "Yeah?" he shot back with a smile, âWell, I've never been one to just follow the recipe. Where's the fun in that?" She couldn't help but laugh too, he leaned back, arms crossed, a mock-serious look on his face. "You could say that. I'm all about stirring things up. Literally."
For a moment, the world felt like it was yours and Harry's alone.
As the year progressed, your moments together became a series of stolen treasuresâa glance, a smile, a conversation that lingered in thoughts. Each encounter was a brushstroke in a larger portrait of what could be, a potential future painted in hues of hope and yearning.
You clearly understood the weight he carried on his young shoulders with your intelligence. And he, in turn, recognized the light you brought into his shadowed existence. It is a contrast of light and dark, a blend of strength and softness.
There was never a dull moment when you had class with Gryffindor students, especially in Charms. Watching him from afar, you stole glances, heart like a fluttering moth drawn to the flame of his presence. So, when Professor Flitwick announced he will pair students each from your house and the Gryffindorâs, you felt your heartbeat thud quickly. Even more so when he announced you would be paired with the Golden Boy himself.
The next day, you found a note tucked into your Charms book. It was written in a messy scrawl that you'd recognize anywhereâHarry's handwriting. "Meet me by the lake after dinner?" it read. Your heart leapt. Maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something.
Under the moonâs silvery glow, you ambled your way to the Black Lake. The crumpled note in your pocket with Harryâs handwriting was smudged due to you reading it countless times. You waited for him patiently, looking at the moon, humming and trying to keep yourself occupied. After what seems to be like an eternity later, he arrived. His hair was ruffled, looking like he had just run from the Gryffindor tower all the way to your location. His silhouette framed by moonlight; your heart somersaulted.
âY/n,â he said, his voice soft. âThanks for coming, I wanted to talk.â
You nod, feeling your tongue suddenly heavy with words unsaid. âAbout what?â
He bit his lip, a habit of his that you noticed he tend to do when heâs nervous. âYou know, the important stuff.â
And then, he pulled out his Charms textbookâthe pages worn and dog-eared from years of use. âI thought we could go over some charms we need to perform for Professor Flitwick,â he said. âYou know, practice makes perfect.â Harry shrugs, offering a smile.
Your heart skipped a beat. âBut weâve already mastered almost everything.â Raising your eyebrow, you protested. âWhy revisit it?â Harryâs eyes sparkled.
Because itâs not about wand movements or anything of the sort. Itâs about bridging the gap between us. Â Harry thought.
âThereâs one thing the textbook doesnât teach,â He confesses, trying to calm his pounding heart.
âWhatâs that?â you raised an eyebrow.
He hesitated, then slowly and surely cupped your face in his hands. âThe magic of connection,â he said. Â Then, he kissed youâa soft, lingering kiss. The Charms book lay forgotten in the grass. Pulling away, he smiles, taking your hand in his, running his thumb across your knuckles.
âI donât know what our future holds,â he starts, âBut I do know I want you to be in mine.â
âTogether?â
âTogether.â
The Golden Boy was no longer a distant constellation. He was here, real, and beside you; the sole witnesses of the exchange are the moon and the black lake.
It wasn't a grand declaration, but it was real and honest, and to you, it was everything.

Foolish Heart
Pairing: James Potter x Fem! Reader CW: James being oblivious to readerâs feelings, Sirius teasing, and as always- language. (1.7k words) Summary: Youâve had the biggest crush on James ever since you can remember, so imagine how hard it is to see your best friend since diapers pine over Lily Evans. The other Marauders decided to make James realize who he truly likes all along.
Note: I was listening to Hozierâs (my love) âAlmost (Sweet Music)â When I suddenly thought of this idea randomly, soooooo yeah, enjoy! My updates might be slower now since I have school, but my requests/asks are still open if anyone wants to talk to me! I'd still be active on Tumblr : )

Be still, my foolish heart. Donât ruin this on me.
It was your mantra, every time you saw James. Everything he did was perfect in your eyes; the way he hummed, eyes twinkling as he thought of a plan on how to execute their pranks, down to the way he laughed. It was heavenly, dancing around the air, lingering- as if a beautiful melody waiting to be heard by you.
And yet, you were a silent audience, watching from a far distance as he basks in the glow of Lily Evans.
Lily. The name itself was a symphony, a haunting refrain that echoed in the back of your mind. She was everything you werenât, couldnât beâconfident, radiant, and effortlessly captivating. Her hair, a cascade of fiery red, framed her face like a halo. And James? Well, he was her devoted troubadour, strumming his heartstrings to the rhythm of her laughter.
He was hypnotized by Lilyâs glow; and you were fixed on his warmth. His laughter was like sunlight filtering through leaves, warming the coldest corners of your aching and bitter heart. You wondered if he knew the ache of unrequited loveâthe way it makes you feel like youâre drowning in heartache, making you gasp for air.
Youâd known James since you were in nappies, a strong bond forming from cheeky smiles, little adventures, empty promises, bruised knees, and grass-stained bottoms. Childhood friends; both of you are inseparable. But, unknowingly to the bespectacled boy, you slowly saw him in a different light, making you crave more about what your current relationship with him is.
James was the sun, and you were the moonâforever caught in his orbit, but never close enough to touch.
You watched as he stumbled over his words, trying to impress Lily with Quidditch tales and his pranks. And you? You were the silent observer, scribbling poems in the margins of your potions textbook.
As you settled in your usual seat next to James in the great hall, Sirius grinned, a mischievous glint evident in his eyes. âSit beside me, pretty girl!â Â He pulled you next to him, slinging an arm around your shoulder as he grabbed an apple and handed it to you. âGood morning to you too, Paddie.â You rolled your eyes playfully, obliging and sitting next to the long-haired boy and grabbing your favorite fruit from his grasp.
Remus, the ever observant one out of the group knowingly looks at Sirius as if to say, âI know what youâre doingâ. Peter only mumbled a âgood morningâ before going back to shoving his breakfast in his mouth, blissfully unaware of the brewing tension.
James frowned; he didnât like the change. Not. One. Bit.
This was new- you not sitting beside him? Can someone pinch him right now since the sod thinks he might be dreaming.
James kept his mouth shut, although he couldnât help but glance every now and then at you and Sirius chatting across the table, sporting a frown as he stabbed the eggs with a rather excessive force before showing the food on his mouth. Of course, his actions didnât go unnoticed in the eyes of Sirius Black.
âSomething wrong, Prongs?â he asked, not even bothering to hide the grin on his face as he leaned in. Never once did James think he would like to see Siriusâ smirk wiped off his face.
âY/n sits beside me.â His jaw clenched.
You tried your best to act nonchalantly, fighting off the blush forming in your cheeks as you felt the all too familiar butterflies in your stomach.
Ah, the heartache in those wordsâthe unspoken longing. Remus had seen it before, masked behind his bravado. James Potter, the mischief-maker, the Quidditch star, the one who chased after Lily Evans with unwavering determination. But the werewolf knew better. He saw the way he looked at you when he thought no one was watching. The way his laughter softened when you were near. The way he defended you even when you didnât need defending.
âSo? Make Red sit beside you or something.â Sirius raised a brow. You looked at Sirius with a confused look on your face, just what was up with him today?
Red. Lily Evans. The one who James practically confesses his undying love for every week. You know damn well you were not Red, and that you will never be Red.
You were Y/n- the one who held his hand when he was scared of the dark, who followed him on little adventures throughout Potter Manor when you were kids, and the one who exchanged secrets with him with hushed whispers under the moonlit skies.
But being the sod he is, he did. He had hurt you again without even knowing as he invited Lily next to him.
It went on for several weeks, each passing day hurt more than the last. It seemed like he was slowly becoming out of your reach, but Sirius was there, offering you support, and secretly trying to make James realize that heâd been hopelessly in love with you ever since the beginning of time.
The unspoken tension between you grew thicker. Sirius and the others watched, amused and exasperated. Remus, the wise one, shared knowing glances with you. Peter, ever loyal, tried to be mediator between Jamesâs heart and his head.
Then it finally happened, James couldnât handle it anymore. He cracked.
You were the fresh air he takes in, the anchor that keeps him still, a constant presence in his life. James Potter knew it would hurt if you werenât by his side, but Merlin- he didnât know it would hurt this much. He wants you- he needs you.
One stormy night in the Gryffindor Common room was the time he decided to tell you whatâs going on in his mind. It was the perfect timing, really. Only him, you and the other Marauders were present in the room, the other students already headed to the dorms, as it was almost curfew.
James sighed, finally standing, and walking towards your direction, his eyes were vulnerable. âY/n,â he began, voice trembling as he stumbles over his words. âIâve been an idiot.â
You hummed in agreement, trying to look busy as you reread the last sentence over and over in the page of your book, âThatâs not new, Potter.â
âLilyâsheâs not the one I want. Itâs always been you.â
It felt like the whole world stopped, the fire that was roaring suddenly stilled, your friends sat silently, frozen in shock. All you can hear is your heart thumping loudly in your chest.
Jamesâ gaze bore into yours, his eyes searching for a response. His hand trembled where it reached for yours, holding it tightly, fearing you'd pull away from his touch.
âJames, what? If this is some kind of ploy to play with me-â
âY/n,â he said, his voice raw, âIâve loved you since we were kids. I was a bloody fool to deny it every time I see you."
âJames,â you whispered, your throat tight, âwhat about Lily?â
He cupped your face, his thumb brushing your cheek as he chuckled lightly "Evans had noticed it even before I did. Said I was a knobhead for not realizing sooner." he said.
Jamesâs gaze softened. âYouâre the girl who followed me on little adventures, who defended me during Quidditch matches, who knows my deepest fears and silliest dreams. I was fucking terrified to ruin our friendship just because I saw you more than my best friend.â
Biting your lip, you felt the all-too-familiar tears pricking your eyes. His confession made your insides warm, fuzzy, and light. You never told him how you truly felt- keeping it to yourself as you watched him chase after Lily, being supportive of him even though it kills you inside. You could deal with that; youâd be happy as long as James would be happy. Even if itâs with Lily.
Although, he was here, in front of you. Telling you that he also loves you, that he hadnât realized it until years after.
âJames, you were never just a best friend to me.â You whispered, âI was scared- terrified that you would never see me in the way that I saw you. I didnât tell you because I would rather love you in the sidelines rather than lose you altogether.â
Jamesâ eyes softened, he leaned closer to you; his forehead touching yours, his breath fanning your lips as he smiled softly. âI wouldnât let you do that now, youâd be in the center of my life, where you belong.â
He placed his hand gently on your back, pulling you closer to him. âLetâs not waste any more time, yeah? We already did that for most of our years already.â James didnât wait for you to reply when he leaned down and kissed you, cupping your face gently.
Neither of you heard your friends cheering, the fire crackling, or the rain tapping out your window.
In that moment, it felt as if you and James were the only ones in the world, you were in your own little bubble of happiness. Both of you had foolish hearts, and it had finally found each other after years and years of looking.
AMAZING AS ALWAYS

hello! would you maybe be willing to consider writing a kind of follow-up to the poly moonwater fics where reader is pregnant? maybe when she has the babies and everyoneâs reactions?? ty for reading my requestđ
I love this little family so damn much đđ«¶
poly!moonwater x afab!reader who gives birth to their twins
CW: pregnancy, hormonal fits, brief discussion of Regulus' childhood, brief discussion of Remus' childhood, going into labour, portrayal of breastfeeding though nothing is described, Barty losing his fucking mind, Uncle Sirius for Best Uncle 2024, also the babies look like their daddies to avoid describing/labelling the mother's features
Remus felt for you. He really, really did.
But also, he was a little afraid of you.
Scratch that, he was very afraid of you.
But his sympathy for you ran deeper than his fear, which is how he found himself sitting in one of the (many) gliders Regulus has purchased for every room in your shared home as you fought to find a comfortable position in your bed.
And yes, your bed.
Because you had since kicked Remus and Regulus out of your shared bed.
And though they didnât feel particularly bad about it, you claimed it was their fault.
You see, after a particularly worrisome fall - that took place at six and a half months pregnant (with twins, no less) as you missed a step on your way up the stairs of your townhouse - unfortunately for you, and fortunately for Remus and Regulus, it happened in front of all of your friends one night when they were over for dinner, which resulted in a lot of fussing by James and Sirius, and caused Barty to go marching upstairs and begin moving all of your furniture and belongings into the spare room on the main floor.
âLike fuck my Treasure is navigating these stairs in her condition. The two of you are sodding useless; this should have been done months ago.â He spat venomously as Evan shouted at him that it was ânot polite to reconfigure someone else's house without permission.â
You vehemently protested the move.
Regulus and Remus didnât think it was such a bad idea.
Because of their âbetrayalâ (read: their lack of support in your arguments against your most capricious friend devotee), the boys were not allowed in âyour roomâ.
So, perhaps Remus was already pushing the limits by taking up residence in the glider as you tried and failed to find a comfortable position to read in, determined to take a nap.Â
âThe babes giving you grief, dove?â He asked softly, earning him a derisive scoff from you.Â
âWhat do you think?â You spat.Â
Remus grimaced but decided to soldier on. âThey may be ready to come any day now.â
That was the wrong thing to say if your quick glare was anything to go by.
âNo they are not.â
âDove,â he started, closing his own book and leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he considered you. âAnywhere from 34 to 38 weeks is full term for twins. The fact youâve made it to 35 is incredible, baby.â
Your lips pinched as your brows dipped, and Remus was sure you were close to tears. âNo, Iâm not ready, I-â you let out a breath as you cut yourself off, alerting Remus to the fact that you were about to give away the sex of (one of) the babies. âBaby B, they need more time.â You admitted, voice quieter as if you were afraid saying it any louder would somehow jinx it and trigger your own labour.Â
âTheyâre going to come when theyâre ready.â He repeated.
He left the room after you threw your book at him.Â
He followed the sounds coming from the kitchen where he found Regulus on his hands and knees underneath the cabinets, of which heâd emptied of all their contents.
The second Regulus found out that the three of you were expecting twins, and due to the nature of the superfetation and thus the risks involved, he quit his job and strong-armed (read: lightly encouraged) Remus to do the same.Â
And while Remus focused on catering to you and ensuring you were comfortable (orâŠas comfortable as humanly possible when you had two little freaks using your organs as trampolines) and well fed, Regulus focused onâŠwhatever this was.
âReggie?â
âMhm?â He responded quickly, voice muffled from where his head was still shoved deep within the lower cabinets.
âWhat are you doing?â
Regulus shifted and his head made a painful thump sound when it connected with the top of the cabinet before he pulled himself out of it.
âCleaning.â
One of Remus' brows arched at that. âThe lower cabinets?â
âRight.â
âWhy?â
Regulus rubbed the back of his head as he looked between Remus and the mess he was currently surrounded by in the name of âcleaningâ.Â
âWellâŠthe babies-â
âWonât be concerned with the lower cabinets.â Remus cut him off, looking down at his boyfriend lovingly.
Remus watched as Regulus took a deep breath and deflated significantly.Â
Remus pushed aside some large pots and various cleaning products as he joined Regulus on the floor and pulled him closer by the ankle.Â
âWhatâs going on inside that head of yours, love?â He asked him quietly, rubbing his thumb along his Achilles tendon as Regulus seemed to organise his thoughts.
âI donât think Iâm going to go back to work.â Regulus blurted finally.
Remus fought to school his expression as he tilted his head in consideration. âEver?â
Regulus shook his head and rested his chin on his knees. âI donât know. Maybe just part time or somethingâŠI just- I donâtâŠI donât want to be like him.â
âLike who, sweetheart?â
âLike my father.â Regulus bit out, bitterness colouring his tone. âAvoiding my family and responsibilities by hiding at work. Coming home to find out the babies have done something wonderful and I missed it. IâŠI want to be here, and Iâm afraid; Iâm afraid Iâll be more like him than I mean to be.â
Remus smiled sadly at Regulus as he squeezed his ankle twice. âI already know youâll be nothing like him, my star. Considering youâre so worried about it, I know youâll be 100 times the father he was. But, Iâll be here to make sure that stays true, okay?â
Regulusâ eyes met Remusâ, and he felt his heart squeeze at the redness rimming Regulusâ eyes as they turned glassy.Â
âIâll take care of you - both of you; all of you. Youâll never have to want for anything, you know that right?â Regulus stated urgently.Â
Remus smiled softly at him as he nodded. âI know, love.â
âYou could stay home indefinitely too, you know.â Regulus offered shyly.Â
Remus chuckled. âYou just donât want to have to face our little mama bear all by yourself.â He teased.Â
Regulus chuckled in response but his eyes morphed into a lovesick gaze as he stared unseeingly out the archway of the kitchen. âSheâs just uncomfortable and stressed right now.â
âSheâs gonna be such a good mum.â Remus agreed quickly.
âThe best.â
âWeâre so lucky.â
âRem? Reg?â Your voice sounded from the hall before your form hobbled into the archway as you used the door frame for support.
âWhatâs the matter?â Regulus asked quickly, kicking his feet out and sending various pots toppling over on the tile floor.
Whatever you had been on your way to say seemed to be placed on the back burner as your brows pinched and your eyes darted across the chaos that was currently your kitchen.
âWhat were you doing in here?â You asked slightly breathlessly. Both Remus and Regulus stood sheepishly.
âErm, uhâŠ.cleaning?â Regulus answered in the form of a question.
One of your brows raised as you continued scanning the mess. âYouâre not very good at it.â
âWhat did you need, dove?â Remus asked gently.
Your face softened as you looked up at him worriedly.Â
âI think my water broke.â
You could have heard a pin drop in the messy kitchen as Remus and Regulus stood staring at you dumbfoundedly.Â
âYouâŠâ Regulus started before clearing his throat. âYou think?â
You grimaced as you looked down to your stomach sheepishly. âNo IâŠIâm quite sure. I think-â You paused to suck in a breath through your teeth. âI think itâs time.â
The breath that followed the end of your sentence bordered on a groan and the boys jumped to action.Â
âOkay, come here amour.â Regulus said gently as he supported you with one hand on your elbow and the other on your lower back and he guided you to a chair in the dining room. âRem, can you grab the babiesâ bags?â
âOn it.â He answered quickly and went running to the nursery to grab two matching nappy bags. Merlin, babies come with a lot of stuff.
âAre you grabbing our bag?â Remus called to Regulus who was then running up the stairs to the ensuite bedroom.
âOui! Amourâs bag is in her closet.â
âGot it!â
Regulus and Remus reconvened in the living room with four bags, two baby carriers, and enough panic to fill an olympic swimming pool.
âOkay, baby bags have nappies?â Regulus asked, reading off a list in his hands.
âCheck.â Remus responded.
âSnappies?â
âCheck.â
âBlankets?â
âCheck.â
âHats and booties?â
âGot it.â
âOkay. And who packed mamaâs bag?â
âShe did.â
Regulus let out a relieved sigh. âOkay, no need to check that one then.â
Remus offered him an unimpressed look as he re-zipped the babiesâ bags and threw them over his shoulder.
âOkay, you grab the carriers and our bag, Iâll grab the rest.â Remus instructed, which Regulus complied as they stepped up to the floo.
âAlright, St. Mungoâs.â Remus said clearly as the flames surged green and the two men stepped through to the intake room of the magical hospital.
Both men were breathless as they nearly collided with the desk where an unimpressed mediwix looked them both up and down.
âWeâre checking into the maternity ward; our partner has gone into labour.â Remus explained in an exhale.
The mediwix moved his gaze between both men, their stomachs, and the various belongings they were carrying.
âRight,â he drawled before his eyes returned to Remusâ. âAnd, your partner?â
âY/N L/N.â Regulus added quickly, causing the mediwix to move his judgmental stare to him.
âRightâŠ.and where is she?â
Both men spun to face each other in a mixture of horror and embarrassment.
Remus rounded the corner of the kitchen to find you sitting where Regulus had left you, one hand massaging a point of your stomach as you considered him with a look full of judgement and mirth.Â
âWhereâs Reg?â You goaded as Remus helped you up from your chair and started making the slow trek back towards the floo flames; his face burning hot with shame that he was sure was spreading to the tips of his ears and well down his chest.Â
âHe was too embarrassed.â He admitted quietly.
You sounded like you were getting ready to laugh when you doubled over and a pained whimper escaped your lips.
Remus quickly bent down so he had one hand on each of your arms, trying to help keep you upright.
âIâm sorry sweetheart, Iâm sorry. Weâre going to get you in a bed and feeling better, okay?â
You whimpered again and looked up at Remus sadly. âIâm sorry.â You cried quietly.
âDove.â He admonished sadly. âWhat on earth are you sorry for?â
You took in two large breaths as you tried to breathe around the pain. âYou have to do this every month.â
Remus wanted to cry. For you, or for himself, he wasnât sure. He loved you so sodding much he couldnât even tell what exactly it was about what you said that touched him so much.
âYouâre so much stronger and braver than I am though, dovey. So if I can get through it, I know you can too, yeah?â He offered softly, pressing a kiss to your temple.
âIâm only brave because I learned it from you.â You gritted out through a sob.Â
âWe can argue about this later, okay? Letâs get you checked in; Iâm sure the mediwix is glaring daggers at Regulus for having abandoned his pregnant partner.â
He managed to coerce a small laugh out of you which he considered a win before you both stepped through the flames.Â
Remus didnât grow up expecting much out of life.
Bitten at only four years old, he was certain something would go wrong with his little body during one of his transformations and heâd be dead long before he ever hit Hogwarts age.
He couldnât attend muggle school growing up due to his affliction and the risk of performing accidental magic in front of muggles.
Though he was certain he was going to die before age 11, he was even more certain that should he make it to 11, heâd never be accepted into Hogwarts.
When he was accepted into Hogwarts, he was certain heâd never make any friends.
When he made friends, he was certain theyâd hate him if they found out about his lycanthropy.
When his friends accepted him for his lycanthropy, wellâŠ.he never imagined heâd be so lucky as to find a partner who was just as accepting.
Let alone two.
For as long as Remus Lupin could remember, he never imagined ever feeling as much love or as loved as he currently felt in this exact moment.
Not only did he have two people who he loved beyond measure, but those two people gifted him two of the most perfect, tiny little beings he could have never imagined possible.
And suddenly - sitting here in a hospital room with you resting in a bed with your eyes closed as Regulus wiped lovingly at your face with a damp cloth, with a tiny little black-haired baby swaddled to perfection fast asleep in a see-through bassinet on your other side, and with an even tinier fawn-haired baby snuggled perfectly into Remusâ bare chest - every single full moon was worth it.
Every broken bone, every scar, every ache and pain and sleepless night that brought him here was absolutely, without a doubt, worth it.Â
âKnock knock!â Remus could hear Lily murmur quietly yet brightly from behind the closed hospital door.
âThat is so cringey, Red. Why wouldnât you just knock?â Sirius muttered.Â
âBecause!â She hissed back and he could hear what sounded like Sirius being swatted with her purse. âThey could be sleeping! I donât want to startle them with a loud knock.â
âOh yeah, Rem and Reg are definitely gonna piss their pants at the sound of you knocking on the door. Shouldnât mama be all drugged up right now anyway?â
You chuckled under your breath as you peeled open one of your eyes to look over at Remus who was looking at you with a matching smile as you listened to Sirius being walloped three more times.
âOkay, well, you guys settle this out here then.â James decided as he pushed the door open.
He smiled at you and Regulus before his eyes met Remusâ form in a glider as he was currently doing skin-to-skin with his miniature doppelganger.Â
James made a very embarrassing cooing sound (if you asked Remus) as he made his way into the room, tiptoeing like he was avoiding invisible trip wires.Â
Lily and Sirius stopped their scuffle as they followed James in, beaming widely at Remus.
âOh my Godric, Moony.â Lily cooed, looking awfully close to tears as the nickname so unusual out of Lilyâs mouth caused Remusâ eyes to well up similarly. âItâs you as a baby!â
âWho was right? Girl or boy?â Sirius asked quickly, daring to reach forward and lovingly stroke a finger along the downy soft skin on the babyâs cheek.
Remus snorted and Regulus groaned.Â
âGirl, Pads.â
âYes!â Lily and Sirius cheered quietly as they gave each other double high fives, clearly over whatever tiff they were having in the hallway mere moments ago.
âBetter luck next time, Reggie.â James called towards him, causing you to narrow your eyes dangerously at your friend.
âWait.â James said as he caught sight of a little something in a bassinet behind Regulus. âWAIT.â
âWhat?â Sirius asked, craning his neck to see what James was looking at.
âNoâŠâ Lily breathed out disbelievingly.
âTwins?!â Sirius shrieked.
âWhat?â Regulus asked derisively, and Remus had to work really hard to keep his face neutral at that.
âWha-â James started, violently whipping his head back and forth between the two infants in the room. âWhat do you mean, what!?â
âThereâs two!â Sirius exclaimed.
Your mouth dropped open in âshockâ as you looked at Sirius aghast. âYou see the other one too?â
The room fell painfully silent as James, Lily, and Sirius all looked bemusedly between the family of five before Remus couldnât take it anymore and started giggling.Â
His daughter began to stir from the rumbling of his chest causing Regulus to scoff in faux admonishment.
âWould you knock that off, Remus; youâre going to give her shaken baby syndrome.â He muttered before he was gently prying the tiny infant from Remusâ chest and wrapping her up in a blanket before holding her close to his chest.
âMama.â Lily breathed out. âTwo!?â
âTwo.â You confirmed. Remus delighted at the shy yet proud smile you adorned as you tucked your chin to your chest.Â
Throwing his jumper back on, he moved over to perch on the opposite side of your bed and pulled the little bassinet closer to the two of you.
âAre they both girls?â Lily asked.
âYes.â Remus laughed, causing Sirius to cackle from where he stood looking over Regulusâ shoulder at one of his nieces.Â
âYou were wrong twice little brother!â
âSod off, Sirius.â
Sirius smacked Regulus up the back of the head. âYou watch your mouth around my nieces, hellion.âÂ
âIsnât hellion a swear word?â James queried.
âItâs not a swear, itâs a noun.â Sirius explained.
âBut then wouldnât fuck be a verb?â Remus asked, causing the room to fall silent as everyone pondered that for a moment.
The silence didnât last long as the sound of two heavy footfalls grew in volume before they stopped abruptly in front of the hospital room.
âAm I too late!?â Barty screeched (albeit quietly) into the room as he and Evan stood in the doorway catching their breaths.
âToo late forâŠwhat, Junior? What did you think was happening here?â James asked.
âShut up.â Barty spat as he moved into the room, shoving past everyone to press kisses against your forehead.Â
âMy beautiful, sweet Treasure. All this work for two tossers. We could still run away, yeah? You, me and the baby; just say the word.âÂ
âTry babies, Junior.â Sirius taunted, causing Barty to straighten up so quickly he nearly collided with Lily as he turned to look at Sirius incredulously.Â
âWhat!?â
Sirius smirked as he pointed to the baby in Regulusâ arms as Barty moved to inspect the tawny-haired babe.
âA Lupin. Thatâs too bad.â Barty muttered quietly, causing Regulus to kick at his shin and you to shout a reproachful âBartemus!â.
âAnd there.â Sirius continued, pointing to where Remus was picking up a black-haired babe from a clear bassinet to pass into your waiting arms.Â
âA Black!? Even worse!â Barty shrilled.
âBarty!â You chided again, though the smile playing at your lips severely diminished the severity of your tone.
âOh, oh gods, oh my. I-âÂ
Barty didnât seem to know where to look; pained puffs of air leaving his lungs as he spun comedically on the spot, dividing his attention between you and the two baby girls.
âRosier, your boyfriendâs about to combust.â Lily teased as she leaned back into James who quickly wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her head.Â
âBarty.â Evan tried, causing Barty to look at him in horror.
âThereâs two!â
Even Evan seemed to find some humour in the state of his boyfriend as his lips quirked up into a smirk. âYes, babe. I counted that many as well.â
âTwo!?â He shouted again as he turned his sights on you.
âHowâdâŠ.Howâd you have two in there!?â He barked as he pointed accusatively at your stomach.
âMagic?â You asked shyly, looking down at your daughter who was beginning to fuss.
âWay to go, Junior. Youâve upset her.â Sirius grumbled.
âSheâs hungry.â Remus corrected, stroking her dark hair before moving his hand to stroke yours in much the same way.
âHer?â Barty asked quietly, watching as you helped the infant latch.Â
âTwo girls, Uncle Barty.â You offered quietly, smiling softly up at your fiercest friend.
âIâm a girl uncle.â He said in awe, moving his smile towards the baby in Regulusâ arms.
âWhat are their names?â James asked eagerly.Â
You looked shyly up at Remus who in turn fielded the question to Regulus.Â
âThis here,â Regulus started, pausing to clear his throat as he looked down at his daughter. âIs Rome Valeria Lupin.â
Lily let out a breathy âaweâ as she touched her hand to her chest, and Remus pretended he didnât notice Sirius wiping a tear from under his eye.
âNamed after the Empire, just like her daddy.â James commented with a soft yet proud smirk.
âAnd that one there is Soleil Pax Lupin.â
Siriusâ gaze moved to the little head he could see nuzzling at her motherâs chest. âA Sunny little girl.â He whispered quietly.
âPax, that means peace in Latin, yeah?â Evan commented, smirking as Barty scoffed at him.
âOf course it does, Evan. Everyone knows that.â
Jamesâ eyebrows furrowed as he looked towards Remus. âI didnât know thatâŠâ He admitted quietly.Â
âAnd Valeria means strength; Rome was a little younger than her sister, but she was a powerful little fighter.â Remus explained, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.Â
âTheyâre perfect, you guys. Just perfect.â Lily commented emphatically, earning nods in agreement from James, Sirius, and Evan.
âWith no help from these wankers, surely. You did a great job, Treasure. They may have lost the lottery in terms of fathers but these girls couldnât have asked for a better mum.â
And though Regulus rolled his eyes with an annoyed shake of his head, no one bothered to argue.
These two girls really lucked out when it came to their mummy.Â
âOh gods.â Barty whispered as he stood hastily.
âWhat?â Regulus asked cautiously.
âOh gods.â He shrieked, turning a withering glare towards his friend. âYou sods should have told me!â
Remus helped you right your robe as you pulled Soleil away from you and began patting gently at her back. âWe thought it would be a funny surprise.â He explained.
Barty scoffed derisively and turned his ire onto him.
âWell ha ha, very funny.â He deadpanned. âIâve only bought one of everything!â
Regulus waved him off after he passed Rome to his brotherâs eagerly awaiting arms. âThatâs fine, Barty.â
âNo! It's not fine, Barty!â Barty volleyed back. âEvan, letâs go.â He ordered as he bent to press another kiss to your head, kissed his hand and gently pressed it to Soleilâs shoulder and did the same to Rome (much to Siriusâ chagrin).Â
âWhere?â
âShopping! I need to go back and buy another of everything that weâve bought!â
âOver the past seven months!?â Evan asked incredulously.
âYes!â
Remus could hear them arguing all the way to the floo flames.
Lily offered to take Soleil from you to finish burping the baby as the room fell into a comfortable silence.
âSo, when can we start trying again?â Regulus asked, causing Remus to grimace and you to level him with a look that would send a lesser man straight to his grave.
âOkay,â Regulus acquiesced. âWeâll talk more next week.â
Sirius laughed as he looked down at the babe in his arms.
âSounds like your papaâs going to be sleeping on Uncle Siriâs couch, Roro.â He cooed.
From the look on your face, Remus was sure Sirius was quite right.

Our Baby Has Four Feet?
poly!moonwater x pregnant!reader who find out they're having twins
CW: pregnancy, ultrasounds etc. I didnât see either of the boys recovering from this advance the twins had on them - but Iâm still dying that we could not decide who weâd prefer to be the bio dad hahahaha

This was the second moment in your pregnancy that you were convinced that Wizardingkindâs claim at being further advanced than muggles was completely unfounded. A simple charm cast on you at St. Mungoâs confirmed that you were, indeed, pregnant. But it was a muggle blood test at a walk-in clinic that told you how far along you were.
So, when Lily told you, Remus, and Regulus that she went to a muggle OBGYN for ultrasounds during her pregnancy with Harry, the boys were obsessed with the idea of getting to see the little life growing inside of you.
You found a clinic that was was understanding of yourâŠunique lifestyle, and sat in a small room waiting for the doctor after being checked in by a nurse.Â
âRegulus, please stop pacing.â You said quietly, repositioning yourself on the uncomfortable medical bed and wincing when the paper tore beneath you.
âSorry.â He mumbled quickly as he sat down on one of the chairs, trapping his hands underneath him as if that would help his nervous fidgeting.Â
âItâs going to be fine, bubs. This is standard; my mum had one done when she was pregnant with me.â Remus placated.
âOkayâŠokay, so itâs not invasive?â
You laughed. âReggie, nothing happens. They just touch a camera to my belly and it shows whatâs inside.â
Regulus blanched at that. âWill the baby feel it?â
Neither you nor Remus got to answer (or laugh at him) when the door opened and a Doctor wearing a bright smile entered the room.Â
âHello! You must be our mama?â She asked as she extended a hand to you, carrying on at your nod in affirmation.Â
âMy name is Doctor Bozelli. So, weâre here for an ultrasound?â
You nodded and looked towards Remus. âWeâre about 19 weeks along now. This is our first ultrasound and our first pregnancy so weâre all a little new at this.â He explained to the doctor
âWell mazel tov! Alright; and are we finding out the sex of the baby?â
âI am, they wonât be.â You answered, causing the doctorâs face to spread into a cheeky smile.
âOkay, dads are leaving it as a surprise, got it. Okay mama, lean back for me and raise your top.â
You did as instructed as the doctor sanitized her hands and donned a pair of medical gloves.
âAlright, Iâm just going to pull these down a little lower and tuck a sheet in so we donât get gel on your trousers.â
You had no time to feel self conscious at so much of your midsection showing with an audience of three before the doctor was shaking a bottle of ultrasound gel.
âNow, this is going to feel cold, okay?â She said as she hovered it over your stomach.
âItâs not going to hurt her, is it?â Regulus asked hastily, earning him a none-too-gentle elbow in the side from Remus.Â
âIgnore him; I do.â You offered the doctor, voice coloured in embarrassment.Â
âEverything is perfectly safe, dad.â She placated as she spread the - sure enough - cold gel over your stomach and placed the doppler over the area.Â
The room was quiet as the doctor searched forâŠwell, you supposed the baby, though there really wasnât anywhere for them to hide.
âThis is your first ultrasound you said?â The doctor queried, causing Regulus to stand up quickly.Â
âYes.â You offered at the same time as Regulus barked âwhatâs wrong?â
The doctor chuckled before she responded. âNothingâs wrong dad. Look.âÂ
She turned the screen towards the three of you and both boys learned further overtop of you to get a better look.Â
âIâŠ.Iâm so sorry but what are we supposed to be looking at?â Remus said; braver than you and Reg to admit you had no idea what was going on.
âSee here?â The doctor said as she pointed to two little blobs that you could almost feel pushing into your stomach. âThese are a pair of feet.â
The doctor was interrupted by the sound of Remus âaweâ-ing before she continued.
âAnd these here are another pair.â
The room fell painfully silent as the three of you stared at the monitor.
âOur baby has four feet?â Regulus breathed out in disbelief.Â
The doctor chuckled as she moved the doppler slightly and pointed out something else on the screen. âWell, seeing as there are two heartbeats; Iâd reckon itâs less that one baby has four feet and more that there are two babies.â
âTwo heartbeats?â Remus breathed out.
âOne of themâs mine, right?â You asked nervously.Â
The teasing that the doctorâs face had when speaking with Regulus and Remus fell into a more serious expression as she smiled at you. âNo, mum. We wouldnât see the fluttering of your pulse down here.â
The room stayed silent as the doctor moved the camera over your stomach; snapping screenshots every so often as she went.Â
âTwins?âÂ
The doctor hummed in confirmation at Remusâ question as she took a few more pictures.
âOne appears to be smaller than the other though, which would suggest they were not conceived at the same time.â
Regulus choked on air as he began pacing again. âCanât one just be smaller than the other?â He asked; his voice taking on an almost shrill quality.Â
âNot when the size difference is this dramatic, no. One of the twins is younger, Iâd say by perhaps two weeksâ
âShut up.â You barked, causing all three heads to turn in your direction.
âDove, it-â
âShut up. No, one of the heartbeatâs is mine.â
âAmour, try to take some deep breaths, yeah?â Reg tried as he put a gentle hand on your ankle.
You kicked at him.Â
âDonât touch me. Did Sirius put you up to this?â You asked the doctor severely.
âSâŠSerious?â
âMy brother; heâs a prankster.â Regulus explained at the doctors confusion.Â
âNo mama, this isnât a prank. Itâs called superfetation; though rare, your body can release two or more eggs during the same menstrual cycle, which can then be fertilized at different points.â She explained as if she were reciting notes from her medical studentâs textbook.Â
You stared unseeingly at the monitor that displayed not one, but two of your future children as Remus and Regulus continued asking questions.
âAre both of them healthy?â Regulus asked first, to which the doctor agreed quickly.Â
âThe younger one seems to be developing normally; their sibling hasnât been strong-holding them for space or nutrients.â
âWhat can we expect from this type of pregnancy?â Remus asked.
âDoes this increase certain risks for mum or babies?â Regulus added.Â
âOh, Merlin.â You breathed quietly, covering your face with your hands.
Remusâ hand was quickly on your shoulder, and whatever had compelled you to kick out at Regulus before was long gone as you turned towards Remus; his hand feeling like a grounding point keeping you from floating off into oblivion.Â
âIâll give you guys a few moments, okay?â The doctor asked quietly and excused herself after passing you some paper towel for the gel on your stomach.Â
You let out an embarrassing hiccup as you pulled the cloth from your trousers, but Regulusâ hands were quickly taking over the task for you.
Remus had one hand on your shoulder and the other cradling your head as his thumb strokes at the baby hairs near your temple, allowing you to silently cry.Â
Unfortunately, the gentle and loving way Regulus cleaned your stomach and righted your clothing only made you cry harder.
âCome on, sit up dove.â Remus encouraged as he pulled you up by your arms.Â
Once you were sat upright, he was crouching down in front of you as Regulus moved behind you, wrapping his arms around your midsection - hands landing protectively over your growing stomach - as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
âThat was quite the news, huh?â Remus asked quietly as he drew circles with his thumb on your thigh.
You nodded your head yes as new tears fell.Â
âBut sweetheart, youâve grown two healthy babies and you didnât even know it. Youâre doing a wonderful job.â Regulus insisted, voice muffled as he pressed his lips into your jaw.Â
âI know this is more than we bargained for, but I think we can manage between the three of us, yeah?â Remus offered, causing Regulus to scoff.
âPlease, we wonât be able to keep their aunts and uncles away.â
You chuckled wetly at that as you wiped at your face. âCan we not tell them?â
âTell who what, amour?â
âI donât want to tell anyone itâs twins; letâs just surprise them.â
Regulus scoffed as Remus let out a boisterous laugh. âAbsolutely mischievous dove, I love it. This is the best prank the Marauders will never see coming.â
âIt would be nice to see my brother struck dumb.â Regulus mused.
âThen itâs settled.â Remus murmured, pressing his ear to your stomach. âOur babies will be born pranksters.â

Huh
Maybe Barty does like James after all
