from the time you moved in together, you never knew when jihoon was coming home or even if he was. most of the time you were asleep when he did come home but on the off chance you were awake, he usually comes in without making a sound to make sure not to wake you but you had to get used to him just walking into a room unannounced. by now you weren’t even phased by jihoon just walking into a room.

like tonight.

it was almost 3 am and you were laying in bed, scrolling through tiktok to occupy your wandering mind when jihoon came in quietly and collapsed on to the bed. he laid there for a moment before moving to rest his head on your stomach and reaching a hand up to grab your free hand and play with it.

“why are you still up?” he mumbled against you.

you shrugged, still looking at your phone, “i just couldn’t sleep.”

jihoon hummed in response and turned his head to relax on top of you. the room fell silent again. the day had been long for jihoon and the stress of the new comeback had been getting to him. in the past he would have just pushed through and pretend the pressure wasn’t there just to complete the project. that was before he met you. the feeling he gets when he’s around you is damn near euphoric. he’s never felt this way with another person before so now when he feels worried or stressed or angry or anything, he knows he just needs more of you to get back to normal.

for him, just being in your presence is enough so he doesn’t even mind that you’re on your phone, the two of you not giving the other their direct and full attention. existing with each other is just what he needs. jihoon can already feel himself regulate as he lays on top of you, your legs surrounding his sides, and his fingers weaving in and out of yours.

after several minutes of comfortable silence, jihoon moves his head up again to look at you, his chin resting against your torso.

“i love you.”

you pause your video, looking down at your boyfriend and smile warmly, “i love you, too, ji.”

his cheeks glow pink and he returns his head to his previous position to try and hide it. of course you noticed and lay your phone on your chest to use that hand to rub a hand through his hair affectionately.

that vid of dk comforting woozi during his part in healing is killing me

so i imagined some scenarios where he'd sweetly say, "i was wondering where you were"

imagine you had a date planned to hang out with woozi outside of your houses or his studio for once

you're dressed up and have nice makeup on, but while getting ready, you realized way more time has passed than you thought

so now you're panicking in the taxi when you realized you forgot your phone!

so now you're not only running late but you have no way of updating him

so when you get there a bit late, almost out of breath as youre directed to your reserved table

he looks up from his phone and smiles at you

"i was worried. i was wondering where you were."

"i'm so sorry! i didn't realize how much time passed, and i forgot my phone at home."

"it's fine. you're here now. don't worry about it, okay?"

"tell me i at least look good after all the time i unknowingly spent on myself."

"hmm..," he scans you from the other side of the table thoughtfully before chuckling. "yeah, of course you do."

i imagine woozi wouldn't be the type to give you compliments out of the blue

but if you asked him if (for example) you looked good or you smell good or your makeup/outfit is nice, he'd be honest with you

and almost always tell you what you want to hear (though he'd definitely pretend to think differently just to see your reaction)

though i think he'd say regular comforting things to you often

like "have you eaten?" or "good job with that, you deserved it" or "keep up your good work, you're doing great"

another scenario would be if you both were at a social gathering together at hybe or smth

he'd be looking for you, going between rooms and scanning the people

he goes up to the other svt members like "hey, have you seen y/n?"

it isn't until one of the members says, "oh, i think they went to go somewhere where there weren't a lot of people."

he bids goodbye to a few people before walking to his studio

and he enters, seeing you sitting on the couch with your phone in your hands

"i was wondering where you were, silly. should've texted or something."

"i was planning on going back in a few minutes. sorry. i know i shouldn't be in here by myself."

he sits down at his big, comfy desk chair

"you're fine. you worry too much. too many people?"

"yeah. it was fun, though. i just needed to recharge."

"i get it. i'll probably do some more work here anyway before i call it a night. wanna stay?"

"of course!"

and you kick off your fancy shoes, getting yourself comfortable (as you always do) in his studio

i feel like woozi's love language would be quality time

he just loves having your company, even if you both don't say anything or focus on completely different things

he just loves being with just you

so woozi saying "i was wondering where you were" with so much love in his eyes

so comforting and heartwarming, i bet he'd say that to his s/o just like that 🫶
