He does!! The ref I was using wasn’t wearing clothes and I decided to just slap a tank top on him, and I used those round glasses because markimoo himself are using them again these days, and right when I’m about to post did I realise my enigma XD

They are both Google hcs, so I apologize for giving you more Google requests to do

Markiplier X Death Stranding just because I can

OK SO-

This idea came from the thought of Mark’s stomach scar and how Sam and Cliff had stomach scars as well. IT WAS PURE BRAINROT, I posted some sketches over on twitter and people really liked it, which was a response I did not expect. So I decided to do some art of this au and bring it to you, here on tumblr dot com :)  I call it Stranded With Markiplier! :D

I’ll be putting the sketches underneath the cut as well as the headcanons I have if you’re interested. However if you’re not- since I know the public opinion of this game is 50/50- then I hope you enjoyed the art anyways <3

NOTE: I’m going to be using the lore and terms heavily from the game. If you haven’t played or watched the gameplay you might be confused.  

Damien Porter Bridges

Damien was a porter working under the commands of America’s final president, President Marcus Strand. His job as a porter exposed him to various effects of chiralium which enhanced his DOOMs to a significant level, making him a successful and reliable porter. He disliked Marcus but after being persuaded by Marcus’ brother Mark, he decided to play his role to bring the community of UCA together and connect the cities to the chiral network.

After President Marcus dies under mysterious circumstances, he was tasked with taking the body to the incinerator. During incineration, chiralium levels spiked through the roof and attracted BTs to his position. He was caught in a voidout and died. In the seam, he learned that Mark and Marcus were actually the same person, and Mark had the powers to repatriate souls back to the land of the living. He was repatriated and was tasked by Mark once again to continue building the chiral network. With the knew formed knowledge that the chiral network was built to facilitate extinction, and being stuck in a body that cannot die, he despises Mark and sought out to be the antagonist of Bridges. Calling Mark the “Actor” for playing hero, he pledges to be the “Villain” to bring Bridges down once and for all  

Wilford, MULE leader

I originally planned that Wil is just a porter turned rouge, but then I had a better (heartbreaking) idea.

William was a porter working with a different courier service called Memento Express. He started dating Damien’s twin sister Celine soon after she got divorced from her previous husband, the president himself. Working as a porter also meant that he was exposed to high levels of chiralium, making his DOOMs level higher than average. He used his powers to teleport to and from the beach to deliver shipments, but chiralium exposure was not great on his mental health.

During arrival to send one particular shipment, he realised that his container had been tampered and decided to check inside. Inside was a nuclear bomb that was set to detonate in merely minutes after arriving at its destination. Panicked and scared, he left the container and teleported out without telling anybody, causing the bomb to wipe out the whole entire city. His name and reputation were tarnished as people around called him a murderer. The stress built up caused him to develop porter syndrome thus turning him into a MULE. Just wanting to prove his innocence and reliability as a porter, he lost himself to the madness and became leader of the MULEs under a new name, Wilford.

I headcanon Celine as a combination of Deadman, Heartman and Mama. A brilliant coroner whose obsession towards the dead led her to life of isolation which led her to leave and divorce her husband. She did all of that to research the Death Stranding as well as to make sense of his brother’s ability as a repatriate. After she left Wilford who became a MULE, she stayed behind at Bridges corpse department for research, and studies her own beach (as well as others) by using her DOOMs since her beach is connected to Damien’s. She gained the nickname “The Seer” for helping Bridges Expedition 1 avoid BTs. People claim she could foresee the future to avoid BTs, a claim she was fond of and the nickname stuck.

I did all of this for fun and no way in hell have a plan for anything with this au. Like I said it’s all brainrot sjksjkhshk. ANYWAYS if you made it this far I hope you liked it and ily <3

I don ‘t know how much art I’ve done this year but taking a look at my archive showed that 2021 was the year where I’ve drawn the most in comparison to any other year of my life. On an art perspective, this year gave me a chance at improvement as well as growth. Being in Mark’s community and interacting with you guys (and noticed by Mark a couple times?? 14 year old me would have died!) was the best thing to come out of the year. I made friends with a lot of talented and amazing people, I feel unworthy at times looking at all the giants I befriended and I am so incredibly lucky :) Thank you so much for sticking with me. I’m almost close to 1K and honestly have no idea how that happened. Coming from an environment that told me I was useless for my talent and passion, I dislike my art for majority of my life but your kind words and support lifted my spirit and gave me hope. So thank you for liking what I made when I couldn’t. Thank you for pushing me to keep moving. Thank you for everything, I could never repay it. 

Thank you so so much, I look forward to 2022 and I hope to improve and learn more in the future.
