Here is the truth: A lot of us tend to stay in our own little words, in our own little bubbles. It is safe there, it is familiar, it is somehow all we know. But we fail to understand that by staying exactly where we are, we create our own misery. We complain about situations, yet we do nothing to change them; we stay in our bubbles and do not make any attempt to break free. The key to healing and growing is exposure. Exposure to the unknown; unknown situations, unknown circumstances, unknown people. The more you isolate yourself, the more you stay in your comfort zone, the lonelier and unhappier you will get. So, expose yourself to the unfamilair, my love. Take risks. Be brave. It does not have to be huge steps but maybe instead of saying no to a social event, you can say yes; instead of staying in on a Sunday afternoon, you can grab a book and sit down in a park to read; instead of dreading an important phonecall, you take the phone and just dial that number. It seems scary, I know. But darling, this is where growth awaits you. This is how you will slowly heal. You can do this.
