Oh No, I Have A Girlfriend Of 5 Years... Am I About To Be Engaged?
Oh no, I have a girlfriend of 5 years... am I about to be engaged?

It’s an old tradition that during a leap year women could propose to men. This was usually depicted as old or ugly women trapping men, but some art focused more on the role reversal and could be quite cute.
I have a soft spot in my heart for the last one because it plays on the idea of “undesirable” people, a tall masculine woman and a shy effeminate man, finding each other but instead of mocking them depicts it as sweet that she could finally ask him because he was too shy and insecure to ask her.

reblog to be eaten by this thing
No word of a lie, in my Microbiology class me and one of the guys at my bench had a weird bonding experience where we both really liked lighting the bunsen burners because fire but he was waaay more into it. At the end of last class (Thursday night 6-9pm, it's a big oof) we talked some more and he gave me a date! The class was late enough that he could eat again (it's Ramadan right now) and he shared the dates he had with me. I didn't really like dates, but the one he gave me was so sweet and good that I think I might slowly convert to liking dates now (I went through a similar thing with olives in the past). Moral of the story: (responsible) pyromania can lead to meeting new friends and expanding your food pallet!
Scientist Stereotypes
Biologist: Can't do math
Theoretical Physicist: Can’t do anything but math
Geologist: Rock collection addict
Military Scientist: Meet the Engineer TF2
Archeologist: Thinks about the Roman Empire more times a day than most men think about sex
Sexologist: Thinks about sex more times a day than most men think about the Roman Empire
Chemist: A pyromaniac and/or is very fun at parties
Science Communicator: Is only fun at parties when everyone else there are nerds
Mycologist/Entomologist: They are VERY interested and passionate about gross things and THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM
Computer Scientist: gay
Wow! I should maybe actually use Tumblr more because when I actually make a thought out post (my post on singular mathematic) I got lots of people replying and re-blogging and generally being nice to me. It was unexpected to say the least, especially since (as I said in the post) I only had half a follower (probable bot) but now after remembering that Tumblr exists and thinking I should maybe try to post more just as an exercise to keep my think-juices flowing, I now have my first two mutuals!
That's very cool, thanks internet strangers for this weird tiny piece of validation :D
I just shared another random thought with my brother and he now wishes he could disown me.
Sharks are sometimes known as sea dogs.
I think that this means we should call dolphins sea cats.
They torture their prey like cats do mice, they're very intelligent, they commit war crimes and they're only friendly with people when they find us amusing / we give them food.
TW: self-harm

My brother (jokingly) said he can't even kill himself because he doesn't want to have "survived by his loving brother" in his eulogy/tombstone because it would permanently associate him with me and the brain-hurt I have forced into the world.
I need to remember to reblog this when it actually is May the 4th.
happy birthday, the star war!
