Theory: Baby Yoda's Blood Is Being Used To Resurrect Palpatine
theory: baby yoda's blood is being used to resurrect palpatine
we know the empire is using it for midichlorians
and that the body of palpatine in rise of skywalker is a force-sensitive clone
midichlorians aren't your cells, they're microorganisms, so a clone of palpatine wouldn't end up with midichlorians unless you got them from somewhere
like a force-sensitive baby
maybe they're just using the blood to make force-sensitive stormtroopers or something but that's boring
also why would gideon care so much if it was just for an experimental upgrade

i love how literally everyone din meets is either a deadly enemy or a potential babysitter
and fifty percent of the time they’re both
theory: baby yoda is going to turn to the dark side
force choking cara and the stormtroopers is totally foreshadowing
he only uses the force when he or someone else is experiencing strong emotion, which is basically what the dark side is
so like he's kinda dark already
he's too young to have a moral compass beyond "daddy is good, people who try to hurt daddy are bad"
if palpatine killed din and told grogu to "strike me down!!1!" he definitely would (not that that will happen, but baby yoda wouldn't even hesitate before killing palpatine unlike luke and rey)
plus ahsoka literally said he'll turn to the dark side so there's that
every time i rewatch the mandalorian, i think “okay, i am now going to write a thoughtful and coherent analysis of why this show is incredible and i love din djarin”
but all i can produce is wordless screaming because THIS SHOW IS INCREDIBLE AND I LOVE DIN DJARIN
you know my favorite thing about peli? she’s basically the only person who treats din the same way she would if he weren’t mandalorian.
she’s not afraid of him, not because she’s confident she could defend herself, but because she doesn’t assume she’ll need to. she doesn’t pester him with questions about his helmet because she doesn’t think making personal religious decisions is weird. she thinks of him as a PERSON with a PERSONALITY and an actual LIFE beyond the mandalorian bounty hunter stereotype.
like. pretty much everyone gets this “oh crap it’s a mandalorian” face the moment they see din and make a bunch of assumptions about who he is and what he wants. even if they’re not overtly racist and xenophobic, they’re still obviously uncomfortable and weirded out by his helmet. but peli? peli has zero reaction to seeing a mandalorian in her hangar. she's one of the few, if any, people who don’t initially think of din as The Other. it’s nice to see.
