Because sorry Kleos tangent but we never draw this man with all the other extra bits because the official art took away his mustache and a lot of the stuff on the sides of his face but he did not have this like goofy grown out chinstrap beard and idk something about drawing him with it just fills out his face more and just arggghhhh idk gang

Also uh, no soulful eyes this time in the drawing 😔 I am never gonna be able to capture what these sculptures have captured but by the Gods have they captured something great.

Sometimes I just disappear and know I’m staring at one particular sculpture of Commodus trying to translate him and his looks properly into drawing and Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelly keeps playing in my lil gnoggin…

I haven’t been satisfied yet but one day maybe I’ll finally do it.
