Map!
I was chugging along in my Science class while we sat through a video and I decided to work on it a little more. I’d like to say this is the final ‘I’m just winging it guys on the draft based on my current knowledge’ type sketch. When I get home I’ll work on the last finishing touches and then I’ll get it on a bigger paper and all Inked out :]

Some obvious things here is stuff like the gate placement and whatnot. But from all I’ve read and chose to interpret as such (and not have other buildings randomly across the via principalis*?*) and if I remember correctly many recreations of maps for these legionary camps (that I’ve taken inspiration from) they do similar things, (as shown below),

Of course these are just reference pictures- I took my creative liberties and also looked through actual written articles and stuff, but I figured I’d also mention the whole Principa thing because it confused me too but for the sake of the map looking nicer and whatever I’ll follow along the more historical angle.
But the map should be officially drawn out, labeled and stuff before the release of the PJO tv show!!

IM DRAWING BABY FRESH FACED OCTAVIAN
not like baby-baby but little stick bug 12 year old Octavian,

This was really quick and fast because I just wanted to have fun and HEHEHEH
Octavian is so silly and i guess this qualifies as concept art for baby Octavian
Sorry the shading might look a little weird on some parts I was on a multiply layer and just messing around
Anyway I haven’t posted art in a while but like whatever, it’s my page when have I ever been concistent
Guys. Guys I just liked one post on TBOSBAS(? The ballad of songbirds and snakes I’m frankly too tired to go look at the accepted abbreviation) and now I can’t escape it
I’m not the funny career districts guy I’m the funny Camp Jupiter guy :[
When I get home I’ll probably read it
(There are bets that I’m placing that I’ll walk out of that book going ‘Y’know, Snow was my favorite’ because with all the wild stuff going on in my favorites characters lists I know myself enough to be able to guess that.)
If anyone wants to know Cato, Thresh, or Foxface were my favorites in the 1st hunger games book.
*guys I realized I was accidentally on the for you feed. I am not tumblr savvy and now I have gone back into my Camp Jupiter shaped cave.
Gonna work on some schoolwork but I’m gonna get a post out about my thoughts on how Camp Jupiter views powers/Godly inherited abilities soon.
Also map will probably be drawn.. at some point :D
Just thought about this while thinking of some Ocs (a whole thing but I want to introduce them)
But Ares is a little different in PJO. He’s very like- modern Ares. Just- a lot more of once side of Ares and lest of another side we see in the Myths,
(Yes I know there is a lot of contradiction in the myths depending on which one, which version, the time period, etc. but I think when I bring up Mythology Ares vs. Pjo Ares people know the difference I’m pointing out)
But I’d like to propose my half-baked thoughts,
We know the Gods take on different ‘counterparts’ for Ares his Roman counterpart is Mars, etc and etc. and this is usually do to like drastic culture change that still pulls the essence of the God (I’m just word vomiting bare with me)
To preserve my nice little image of Mythology Ares and Ares caring for his kid (even though there’s that whole moment in Sea of Monsters- maybe I read it wrong but like- there’s also like a bunch of other things but PJO Ares and loving his kids doesn’t usually click in my mind first glance) but concept, what if the Ares we see through Percy’s eyes is the American counterpart Ares/ modern counterpart of Ares. An Ares that fits in with our *Hollywoods* idea of Ares,
Okay I didn’t think through this and it popped into my head and I wanted to write it down before I forgot- maybe I’ll make a post about this and if it is a noticeable trend through all of the Gods or if I’m just really being a little delusional.
I want to draw but the innate urge to scrap my entire art style and try to draw in a way I want to but would have to spend so much time physically re-doing things and digitally is so annoying.
Trying to draw Percy (digitally, I forgot paper to draw traditionally. I might lament and draw Pompey or something) to get into a better mood, he’s the first character I draw ever when considering a new style.
Might just go read the Aeneid to clear my head. But the itch to work on the art is never ending.
I don’t even post my art on here that often lol. But I’d like to say that I need to get my hands on some paper. Drawing digitally is draining my spirit, please-

There. That is all the art I will produce this night. Yes that is my visual representation of me. The art won’t art guys.
But once I get home I’ll get back on the Camp Jupiter map grind. Now I just gotta… work a lot of things out.
*don’t mind the arm far from the camera I forgot a line that makes it look a little less weird but oh well I just scribbled that for the post so no one cares about the stupid shoulder on the character that literally defies all semblance of anatomy and that’s part of the joke*
