Guy's not the first one to ask for pain meds, though he's definitely the first to accept the answer so easily. Hell, these days it's not unusual for TK to treat injuries the new recruits got after getting caught breaking or sneaking into the med bay. Desperation (and enough pain, apparently) can make a person do surprising things. TK knows.

After putting on a pair of gloves, TK plucks the cloth from the other's hands and throws it into the bin. What with the way the guy's been pressing it to other areas of his body as well, TK makes a mental note to hand the guy another one later on. He doubts they'll let him wash up or shower later on.

TK's about the press a saline-soaked gauze to the first cut near the other's temple, the one that keeps sluggishly bleeding, when they speak up again. He'd be lying if he said the words didn't catch him off guard; he gets plenty of questions thrown at him (all kinds of them, including the suggestive ones) but they usually aren't interested in his name or how he ended up here.

"I'm TK," he says after a few beats. At least that question he can answer honestly. Clearing his throat, TK forces himself to focus on the task at hand. "How're you feeling? Nauseous? Dizzy?"

Brock groans his discontent about not being able to receive pain meds, but takes the washcloth from the man, spreading it across his face and leaning his head back. The cool water soothes his wounds and he lets out a sigh of relief, gently pressing his palms around the surface of the cloth to target specific areas. The stark white of the fresh cloth is instantly ruined by the spread of blood flowing through its fibers. "Trust me, I ain't movin' unless I have to." Brock pulls the cloth away from his face and uses it to cool down other areas of his body while he watches the medic gather supplies. "I've seen you around before, helpin' others. What's your name and how'd they drag you in?"

When Bucky said he'd take him on an adventure, TK was thinking of trying a new restaurant or maybe some cowboy-themed escape room or glow-in-the-dark mini golf. Not this. Still, maybe it's not a surprise Bucky would pick horse riding to properly introduce him to Texas culture, especially after the guy mentioned he actually owns a ranch.

TK has to admit; he is pleasantly surprised. Austin isn't the biggest of cities and at times he might even forget he's in Texas, but TK finds that the change of scenery no longer bothers him as much as it used to. He used to think New York was everything, but that's what the city does; it pulls you in until you forget what beauty lies beyond the city.

It's Bucky – or Bucky's horse, actually – who pulls TK from his thoughts and it takes his brain a few seconds to catch up with what's happening. Honestly, he would be lying if he claimed not to expect some falling-off-horses to happen. It's just that TK was sure it'd be him who would do the falling.

Cursing and struggling, TK eventually manages to get off his own horse and make his way to where Bucky landed. "There you are," he breathes out the moment Bucky's eyes open. Seconds later he's already talking and sitting up, which is a good thing, because it definitely rules out a major head injury, but still... it was a nasty fall.

"Hey, hey," TK says as he gently puts a hand on Bucky's shoulder to stop him from getting up. "I'll look for her in a minute. Just want to make sure you're okay. How are you feeling?"

All his life, Bucky's worked with horses. From the day he was born he's always been around them, and from the day he could walk he's been riding.

That doesn't mean accidents don't happen anymore. But when they do? Apparently they choose to do so right in front of his hot date. Because why not?

As a first date, Bucky had tacked up two horses, his own and one of those bomb-proof horses that wouldn't take a wrong step if his life depended on it, and they'd gone on a nice trail ride. Not too far, just about an hour. The trail went through a canyon by a little creek and along some hills. It was nice. Really nice. They had fun, or at least Bucky had, and he already couldn't wait to see him again.

Apparently, his horse is an excellent mindreader, because the first thing Jolie does after he has that thought? Is bolt. Luckily TK's horse isn't very much impressed, simply tilting his head, ears forward as he's trying t figure out what in the world Jolie's problem is. A snake. The problem - is a snake. A harmless Garter snake that was simply trying to cross the path in peace.

Bucky's usually pretty good at sitting out a couple of bucks -- it's how he got his nickname -- but when the mare makes an unexpected sharp turn, he's tossed right off. In an attempt to break his fall, Bucky lands on his arm, hearing a snap before his head hits the sand next and he blacks out.

It's only a few seconds before he wakes up again, moving to sit up. The sunlight is way too bright and hurts his eyes, but he's trying to find where his horse ran off to. You know.. to make sure she's okay. However, before he's able to get up to go and look for her, TK's already hovering over him. "Hey-- can you maybe grab her?" She's still wearing her bridle, Bucky would hate to have her step on her rein...
