Wait, unless that was just for the sake of the comic, why is Dan trying to use Diamond powers in his Larimar form? Like, it makes sense on a tactical standpoint, but surely having and using Diamond powers would make at least one or many members of the group go "Ok, now that can't be normal, right?"

He thinks they would be convenient to have. Bro wasn’t used to feeling relatively weaker at the start and not being able to do things like that. It was more of just a habitual tendency or just wanting to feel some sort of power again in the moment, and if he ever tried to use them he would do it while he was alone. He sometimes (rarely, because he’s rarely ever truly mad,) used trying to do his diamond tricks in his Larimar form to let off steam.

…He eventually got out of that habit.
