But mean emperors make him fight more, sacrifice more lives.

And he wants to fight Marcus one on one. Mean emperors are happy to oblige, serving him up on a platter, hoping they’ll eliminate each other like in the first movie.

BUT

Once they’re in the colosseum and they’ve snarled and taken a few chunks out of each other, Marcus and Lucius both stop and look at each other all “lol what are we doing?! They’re the mean ones!”

And then they team up and take down the emperors.

And skip off into the sunset.
