surviving the current age of internet means saying no to subscriptions and premiums for basic features. you must endure the inconvenience of not being able to use every server emoji in discord. you must build the patience to find alternatives like NewPipe so you can listen to music on youtube while your phone screen sleeps. do Not give these corporations your limited disposable income. tiktok not letting me view videos on my phone without downloading the app? i will outlast tiktok and the execs will be remembered as dull,disgusting capitalists. listen to me, listen to me. if you do not know how to pirate shows from hulu, learn. if you can't pirate it, it is not worth the money to rent it. please i'm on my hands and knees. do not accept this form of internet.

← prev 🥺🥺 fuck “normal behaviors" I brush my teeth while sitting on the porch i do exercises from my desk chair in my pjs i have a basket for dirty laundry and do laundry when its full (instead of waiting till im outta clothes n forcing my self) I take break when doing/inbetween chores ( example dishes i might wash- take a break -than rinse /put on rack) It's 10000000% ok and allowed to do things in a way that is accommodating to you yes agreed so hard still learning it but it is 100% okay mental health fav

i never stop talking about some of these so i might as well banish them to a single post! you might know about a lot of them already, but feel free to look anyway

Adobe Animate (Flash) → OpenToonz, Synfig Studio, or Pencil2D

Adobe Audition → Audacity

Adobe Illustrator → Inkscape

Adobe Photoshop → GNU Image Manipulation Program or Paint.NET

Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects → Fusion, Shotcut, OpenShot, Natron, or Blender

Autodesk Maya → Blender

Clip Studio Paint/Paint Tool SAI → Krita, FireAlpaca, (both also include animation tools!) or MediBang Paint

FL Studio → LMMS

Microsoft Office → LibreOffice or Calligra Suite

Scrivener → Celtx (sort of?) or Evernote

VLC media player → VLC media player lol

freeware can be a great opportunity to get a feel for something and learn a new skill. and in some cases, the free versions are almost as powerful, so you might find that you saved a lot of money but made work that was just about equal to what you might have done with paid software!
