this one took me forever but i got a request to do the fake dating thing for all of the dreamies which i will probably maybe possibly do but if i dont i did donghyuck as the bare minimum

✰ MARK

it'd be when you sit with him late at night in the studio. it was just the two of you, and really nothing special in your lives. but as he was clicking and writing away, his thoughts drifted to you sitting next to him, just spending time with him. it was late, and you could've just gone home and slept (like you should've) but you had decided to keep him company. and even as you'd just be staring at your phone screen at this very moment, mark could just feel a wave of warmth coming over him when he scanned your face. you looked so comfortable with him and when your pretty eyes look up from the cool-toned display, he'd know he's done for. there wouldn't be enough words in the world that could describe how grateful he was to have met you.

✰ RENJUN

it'd be when he had yet again convinced you to paint with him. but considering the fact that finger paint really wasn't your strong suit, you grew frustrated quite quickly. he listened to you cursing and getting more and more agitated as time goes by. "it all looks so bad, renjun, what am i doing?" you'd say, finally falling back in your chair with a defeated sigh. then he'd look up, first scanning the mess you made on your paper before his amused eyes would fall on your face. you were covered in paint. there were spots on your forehead, nose, and cheeks, which were also quite rosy from your little outburst. he chuckled at your state, and slowly grabbed a blank paper from beside him, replacing your masterpiece with it. "it's okay, you can try again." he'd say, and with a heavy sigh, you sat back up and went back in the paint. you didn't notice how long it took him to tear his eyes off you or the mess of a painting he was still holding in his hands. he placed it carefully to the side, and knew he was gonna treasure it forever. he knew that every time he'd look at it, he'd be reminded of the sight in front of him right now, and he'd have the same warm smile on his face that was adorning it now. he'd treasure this feeling in his chest for as long as he could, while you hastily painted away right where you've been sitting, oblivious to his wandering thoughts.

✰ JENO

it would be when he woke up next to you on a mellow summer morning, the day off after a hectic few months full of schedules. his body still felt heavy under it's slumber, and he barely managed to turn his head to look if you were still in bed with him. but there you laid, beautiful as ever with a peaceful expression on your face. you were wearing his shirt, and he admitted that he liked the sight a little bit too much. and so without him even realizing, he lifted his hand and softly stroked your cheek, causing you to stir slightly. and just as jeno froze, careful not to wake you, you reached out to pull him closer to you. eager to fulfill your wish, jeno felt his heart swell at your gesture. even in your sleep, you reached out to him. and that's really all he needed that day, and every day after this one, for as long as he could wish for.

✰ HYUCK

it would be when you were happily ranting about your day, eagerly telling him about every single conversation you had that day. and he wasn't bored with it at all, you actually had him quite invested in your stories. which was what finally illuminated the light bulb in his head. he was never bored around you. you could tell him about finding a pretty rock on the side of the street and it would be the most compelling story that he had ever heard. as he watched you talk away with sparkling eyes, he had to admit to himself that he was absolutely and utterly in love with you. his thoughts were only momentarily interrupted when you asked him if he was even listening, to which he replied a mellow "of course i am," with a sincere and soft smile, that only grew once you've continued with your story. oh yes, he was insanely in love.

✰ JAEMIN

it would be a regular night, with him coming over to your place after practice, and you two eating your regular takeout in front of the tv. he'd have felt particularly tired that day, his limps feeling sore and weak now that he was sitting and resting next to you. but when he asked you for some sauce and you turned to hand it to him, he froze in his movements. your hair was messed up from running your hands through it too much, the bags under your eyes suggested that you had just as much as a rough day as him, and you had the same sauce on your face that you were now handing to the boy. and yet, jaemin couldn't help but feel a bit flustered at the eye contact, cooing at your cuteness. you were so beautiful when you were so much yourself, and he loved every inch of you. and that was when he knew it for sure.

✰ CHENLE

as much as chenle loved being by himself and doing his thing, he loved it when you accompanied him. he watched you as you happily skipped through the aisles in the grocery store, looking to find the snacks you were nagging him about earlier. he only reluctantly agreed to go out in the middle of the night, but there was no way he could've denied you after all. as he passed the section with frozen goods, he'd catch a glimpse of himself in the reflection of the glass door, a content smile playing on his lips. he hadn't even noticed that the corners of his mouth would not remain in their original position, instead, they stayed put in the silly little grin you had caused. "should we get cookie dough or caramel?" you asked from a few feet away, looking back at him while holding up two tubs of ice cream. for a moment, chenle took in your figure, standing there in a sweatsuit and with messy hair, waiting for him to say what ice cream to buy. you looked absolutely beautiful to him, and he could feel his grin widening until he felt his cheeks strain. "what is it?" you'd ask, slowly getting more confused as he only smiled at you. "nothing, i just thought you'd know that the answer is always cookie dough," he answered, snatching the tub out of your hand. he used his free hand to ruffle the mess that you'd call your hair and passed you without looking back. times like these made him feel so carefree and giddy that he'd feel like you two would be the only people in the world. and he couldn't get enough of it, not of you.

✰ JISUNG

it would be when you came with him when he went home to see his mother. he had a tight bond with her, and he was more than relieved that you two got along pretty well too. you would sit beside him at the dinner table, happily talking about some silly story that made him look like an idiot, much to his mom's amusement. you couldn't even hold in your giggles yourself as you tried to remember all the details of your story, every tiny bit of eye contact would leave you two in a fit of laughter. sure, the story might not have been as funny as you two pretended it was. but maybe it was the memory of it all that made it so hilarious to you both, the shared inside jokes that you two had kept it alive over months. and now that you'd try to tell it to a bystander, you realized how strange it all really sounded. but his mom waved off your concerns, and sent you a knowing smile. "when you're with the right person, everything is the funniest thing in the world." she'd say, causing you and jisung to involuntarily share a look at each other. but as you stared daggers into the kitchen table you knew she was right. and jisung knew too. he was with the right person. and he wouldn't let you go so easily.

[3:55PM] “little girl you can’t just steal your mom from me because you crave her attention after school.”

you stared incredulously at your husband before your gaze lowered to the pouting, sleepy girl curled up next to you. “she’s trying to have an after school nap hyuck.”

“i get that.” donghyuck nodded. “but i never get you around this time- what if i wanted an after school nap?”

“you don’t go to school donghyuck.” you chuckled as you patted down on the other side of the couch where your daughter wasn’t hogging you and all the space. “come sit.”

he managed to sit down comfortably but was cut off when a loud whine cut through the air. “my mommy! get off!”

“your mommy? she loved me first! do you not care about your dad?” he fired back at the girl, you couldn’t tell whether he was jealous she had all of your attention or because she was a mommy’s girl and not a daddies girl. “i love you too you know? why don’t you nap with me instead? i’m better than mommy!”
