I think the hardest part about addressing child abuse is getting people to acknowledge, not just intellectually but actually responding accordingly, is that the biggest threat to children, the biggest risk of abuse, is family and parents.

it is of course most often parents who are crowing about needing to protect children (often against far smaller threats than family), and pointing out that they are, statistically, the biggest threat to their kids is not gonna be received well.

There's a really funny dichotomy regarding alterhuman playlists that I've seen, though it's likely due to the amount that these genres engage with sentiments aligned with alterhumanity more than some others do. So what predominantly occupies YOUR playlist?

crazy how many people will just eat moldy food and not give a damn. and then be weird about it when you don't want to eat it after the moldy parts have been cut off. the mold is in there. im not gonna eat mold spores. I think we need to start putting up some of those classroom kindness posters in the nonhuman community or something. Can we all just calm the fuck down please and stop acting like territorial animals butting horns. Someone experiencing nonhumanity in a way that is different to you doesn't mean they're faking it. If this person's identity and self expression isn't causing any harm then it's not an issue! you can't justify cyberbullying someone just because "they made me mad".

It's really not that deep. Someone getting their theriotype wrong? not a big deal. Someone accidentally makes a mistake with their terminology? not a valid reason to harass them. Someone has a common theriotype? doesn't mean they're faking. This person identifies as physically nonhuman? also not a valid reason to harass them.

This community has so many fascinating critters and beings, there are so many wonderful acquaintances and conversations to be found. So please let's all calm down and read some posters.

(if still feeling the need to cyberbully others please re-read posters).

it literally is awesome to draw two anime boys and one of them has white angel wings and one of them has black angel wings and theyre almost kissing and also crying artfully because of the Conflict like internet artistry peaked in 2005

when the objectively bad person has traumatic and honestly reasonable reasons for why theyre like that but it doesnt excuse their actions and only serves to make them more tragic as a character
