I Checked Weibo, And Wasnt Terribly Lucky In Finding An Official Map. Episode 24 Has A Big Map In The

I checked Weibo, and wasnāt terribly lucky in finding an official map. Episode 24 has a big map in the background that may be possible to glean a decent amount of information from:

Iām pretty sure The Blood of Youth takes place in a fictional country based on China, like how Westeros from A Song of Ice and Fire is based on Europe.
Regarding Xiao Seās title, Iām pretty sure Yongāan Wang means āprince of forever peace.ā Itās mostly supposed to sound cool rather than denoting a location. Xiao Chongās title means White Prince and Xiao Yuās means Red/Crimson Prince (their father may be showing some favoritism)
So I'm pulling out my hair trying to map out everything in Blood of Youths based off of this blurry map in episode 15(I think) where Xiao Se and Lei Wujie were near Qingcheng Mountain.

Now the only location I can actually place on these lists of various places is Qingcheng mountain because it is a real place and one of the Four Great Daoist Mountains located in Sichuan.
Another thing that throws me off is Xiao Se's prince title which calls him the Prince of Yong'an and I'm not sure if that's just a title or if they're talking about the actual location??? Yong'an city itself, according to what I understand of fictional Chinese wuxia stories, places the city in various locations but mainly from the South Eastern part of China. I believe the real city itself is also in that area as it resides in Fujian province... But I won't like and say I've never seen it placed in the North in a couple games which really confuses me of where its actual location is... so the Yong'an they're speaking of might be placed in the North for this Wuxia, as is Xiao Se's home city, Tianqi city, which is situated in the North according to Lei Wujie in the liveaction.

Also... looking at the blurry map in the liveaction also makes no sense??? I can't read Chinese but the characters don't seem to match what the places are called. I don't know what Xiao Se was looking at but whatever it was, I don't think he was looking at Leijiabao cause none of the characters é·å®¶å ” showed up on the map once.
Also Mo Yi's island I think might be Hawaii? just because the name sounds similar hahahahah but I can't say for sure where that is.
All in all, I think I'll make a fictional map just to fucking satisfy my mind.

How do you think Jin Yan and Jin Wei first met? What do you think their opinions were on each other then?
Ooh, good question! Iām hoping that Dashing Youth will give some answers on that front, though thereās no guarantee, as I havenāt seen Jin Yan on the cast list yet. Granted, thereās a canonical reason he may be absent or only play a minor role: in the past, he was always spending time with his shifu, Zhuo Xin, while the other eunuchs followed Zhuo Qing. This led to Jin Yan being relatively isolated from them.
There are enough hints to Jin Yanās past in the novel that I can paint a small picture of what it might have been like. In particular, there are two major pieces of information:
-in his youth, Jin Yan needed to run to survive
-without his shifu, he would have died long ago
That information, along with Jin Yanās personality, gives me reason to believe that he used to be a thief. The dexterity of his fingers in the live-action certainly adds to that idea. Continuing in the realm of headcanon territory, I think Jin Yan became a eunuch after trying to steal from Zhuo Qing and getting saved by Zhuo Xin. The gold ornament hanging from Zhuo Qingās belt looks incredibly stealable:

As for Jin Wei, Zhuo Qing saved his life when he was young, so his greatest loyalty is to him. Heās serious, devoted, and stubborn. Heās incredibly different from Jin Yan, and likely wouldnāt get along well with him initially. However, restraint is a major aspect of Jin Weiās character in the novel and donghua, so he likely bottles up most of the negative emotions he may feel towards him. Meanwhile, just as Jin Yan bickers with Jin Xian, I could definitely imagine him getting immense joy out of annoying Jin Wei as well. There could definitely be a lot of tension between them, later complicated when they share the same goal (I wonāt spoil anything, but Jin Weiās major act of loyalty to Zhuo Qing seems a bit more premeditated in the novel).

Some more Wuchang Gui selfies from 13.07.24
Went to a small local con and then snuck away to a spot I've been wanting to have in photos for a while.
I don't know what to say other than Xue Fei truly leaves no muscle in his face unmoved.

Hi!!!! Who are your favorite characters from Blood of Youths? Do you have any favorite ships?
Hi! Thanks for the ask! šŗ My absolute favorite character is Jin Yan, one of the Five Eunuchs:

I love him.
My other favorites are Jin Xuan and Jin Xian. I also like Jin Yu and Jin Wei. I find Marquis Lanyue incredibly interesting and Prince Chi entertaining. I have a soft spot in my heart for the old men of the show, particularly Zhuo Xin, Xiao Ruojin, Qi Tianchen, and Lei Qianhu. Of the youths, my favorite is Ji Xue.
Regarding shipping, I'm very much a multishipper. This mostly results in me shipping Jin Yan with anyone I think he would be interesting with, such as Fairy Rui, Jin Wei, and Ye Xiaoying. That being said, Iām open to all Blood of Youth ships and am always happy to see what other people are interested in!
In terms of my major ships, I have a sort of ship line consisting of four characters: Jin Xian/Jin Yan/Jin Xuan/Xiao Ruojin.

On the more platonic side of things, I love the banter between Jin Xuan and Consort Xuan in the novel. I also care disproportionately deeply about the relationship between Jin Yan and his shifu, even though Zhuo Xin only has one scene in the live action (thereās more in the novel, but I was invested even before I read it; it was a great feeling seeing how similar some of my headcanons about him were to the authorās).
Is there a clan you wish you knew more about?
Thanks for the ask! My first thought was the Lei Clan, because Lei Qianhu is probably my favorite character whoās not connected in some way to my other favorites. Early in my first watch-through of the Blood of Youth, I GIFed the Lei characters a bit:

My second thought was the Wen family, because not much is said about them in the Blood of Youth and they have a connection to Baili Dongjun.
My third thought was Mu Chunfengās family, because if I recall correctly, his father had a past conflict with Yan Zhantian, and Jin Wei has a degree of respect for them.
My fourth thought is also the Wen family, especially after watching the first four episodes of Dashing Youth and finding Wen Hujiu very interesting and entertaining.
