she taps her finger against her chin, humming as she thinks to herself. there was something she overheard a couple talking about in the shop earlier, but now she can't remember what it is! finally agatha groans, rubbing her temples. she heard it not that long ago, how could she forget it already? man, she should've written it down, then she wouldn't have forgotten. then again, she probably would've lost the note. like an idiot. agatha laments her forgetfulness with a sigh, drumming her fingers against the kitchen counter as she leans against it. agatha stops, straightens up. wait— she remembers! she leaves the kitchen and hurriedly makes her way to the living room, features alight with excitement. she tugs maren's arm. " maren! do you think we could go to the planetarium? please, pretty please? "

soryn sips his drink, looking over the video games mephisto had laid out. " i usually prefer horror games. " he hums, picking up each case and studying it, flipping it over to read the back. he does have some horror games, soryn notices, but he still looks through all of them. finally he picks up one of the cases; it was for one of the more recent mario kart games. " this is multiplayer, yes? how about we play this one, then. "

soryn wanders the store with his beloved, holding her hand as they walk together. he knows she's itching to get to the baby section, so he lets her lead him there, watching as she marvels over all the cute baby onesies and the toys and books. what they're really here for, though, is the crib. soryn was letting her pick one out but misa had yet to find one she really liked. still, she had a good feeling about this particular department store.

he moves away a little, looking at the cribs once they get to them. soryn was a little less concerned about aesthetic and more interested in function. stopping, he squats down, reading one of the boxes. it happens to be cute and functional, exactly what they're both looking for, soryn looks to misa. " my love, what about this one? " he asks, picking up the box so she wouldn't have to bend or squat down to read it herself.

she takes her phone out after feeling it vibrate in her pocket. seeing it was a text from her boyfriend, she begins to smile and unlocks her screen. agatha glances over it; strange, he doesn't usually send such long paragraphs. she scrolls back up to the beginning of the message, feeling her smile falter and completely fade as her gaze follows the words. he... he was breaking up with her? he'd even been seeing someone behind her back... it was really that and a myriad of other things that made him finally decide to break things off with her. the more she reads, the more she feels her heart breaking. agatha finally tears her gaze away from the screen and turns, leaning back against the counter. it sinks in as she sinks to the floor. tears brim her eyes and a sob leaves her as she wraps her arms around her legs. how could this happen? what did she do wrong? dread weighs heavy on her when she hears the bell above the front door telling her someone had come in. " i'm s-so s-s-sorry, we're c-closed right now. "

" exactly! surely that means the makings of a great pet already. " agatha agrees with a grin. " i think the only difficult thing to do is keep them away from my cats, but i'm certain i can simply talk to them and tell them that the pigeons are friends, not food! "

"That's a good thing to do really. Most used to be domesticated after all. They were useful and I have a few of my own that I still like using to send messages to friends even if I can just text them."
