The Kickstarter for my book reached a new stretch goal! which means all backers will now receive this floral sticker sheet in their order (for free!)

this is the fourth stretch goal that’s been unlocked, the previous ones are three mini prints, a book case and a bookmark! The bonus rewards are only being gifted out during the duration of this campaign, which will be going for another 16 days👍

Now IF we reach the last and final stretch goal, the book will include a print that you can pull out and frame! The illustration will be my “Life stages of the Sun” piece, which is one of my absolute favorites. Really hope we get this one because aaaghhh it would be so cool. Like a secret treasure hidden in the book.

tbh I think it’s partly just how yellow is portrayed- Red and blue are both  show-stoppers and bright and flashy, but yellow has always felt like the most familiar, foundational color of the primaries. It’s not the favorite color of a lot of people, but it’s still in little things everywhere I think we just overlook it a lot

It mostly makes me think of sunsets and the warm heat of spring before it gets too hot

I don’t do that much with background/setting drawings, but yellow to me feels like a warm, cozy kitchen and the sunset. Everything in this drawing is a shade of yellow (including the lines), except for the shading and the countertops.

still peeves me off to no end that yellow is a primary color
