Violet reached out to adjust Edmund's cravat, a loving gesture that had become second nature over the years. "And you, my dear, look as handsome as ever." Her gaze softened as she looked at him, her hand resting gently on his chest.

Leanora doesn't mind when friends call her Lea, but no one can ever call her Nora. She will get so mad.

Daphne was a little shocked at first but quickly shook it off when Gregory got upset.

"No, no, there's nothing wrong with you, Darling." Daphne said firmly, as she pulled Gregory into her arms for a fierce hug.

Her heart broke as she tried to think of a way to explain why Gregory was born in the body she was.

"Sometimes, mistakes are made, but if you say you're a girl then I believe you. Do you have a name you'd prefer? Or would you rather I keep calling you Gregory?"

Daphne wasn't sure what was wrong but she'd seen Gregory storm out and now found her youngest brother clearly upset.

Shutting the door behind her Daphne sat opposite of Gregory and gently took his face in her hands and dried his tears.

"You don't have to tell me anything, but I'm here if you wish to."

Violet’s eyes widened as Kate mentioned the name and her hand flew to her mouth in surprise, her breath catching in her throat. “Edmund?” she whispered, her voice barely above a murmur. “Oh, Kate—” Her eyes filled with tears as she looked down at the tiny baby in Kate’s arms, the name evoking a flood of emotion.

Her hand reached out to gently touch Kate’s, the warmth of the gesture filled with heartfelt gratitude. “It means so much–" she shook her head, trying to clear some of the emotion, "He would have been so touched, so honoured.” Violet’s tears glistened as she looked down at the baby.
