"That Is A Very Long And Complicated Story," Michael Made Note Of The Wedding Ring On Peggy's Finger.

"That is a very long and complicated story," Michael made note of the wedding ring on Peggy's finger.
"So, you married Fred." He couldn't help but sound disappointed, his feelings on Fred Wells had not changed in the slightest the entire time he'd been presumed dead, he did still very much regret quarreling with his sister the last time they spoke.
@flashbacksech0es ; "The last time we spoke, we argued. I'm sorry." (From Michael Carter)

The shock that courses through her is is cold, electrifyingly so. For a moment she feels as if she's dreaming. Years -- it's been years. More than that, he'd been...dead. Or -- he'd been presumed dead. She remembers the day her mother had received the letter.
Yet here he is, standing in her office. Years of espionage have made her suspicious, but she wants to believe that it really is him. He looks older -- a decade, at least. She knows that stranger things have happened, but...
She blinks back tears, her throat thick. She reaches out a hand, but it falls before she reaches him. "Michael -- what are you...how are you alive?"

"My sister is not your toy, she is her own person, you have hurt so many Cressida, not just with claiming to be Whistledown, you have spent years hurting my sister Penelope. I hope you enjoy your time in Wales, now get. Out." Daphne's words were a command and held a note of finality.
As soon as Cressida was gone Daphne would forget her, she'd turn around and go pay calls, Cressida Cowper was not her problem.
"That's exactly what I think, you're such an unhappy person that you can never be happy. Not with yourself and not for others. You can claim to care about Eloise but a true friend would not have behaved as you have." Daphne snapped, she hated herself for not warning her younger sister away from Cressida, but now here they were.
"The only person you have to blame for Eloise turning her back on you, is yourself."
Siena was usually put together, but the little sigh that left Siena when Allie kissed her was anything but put together.
And she was more than okay with that.
The second Allie's lips brushed hers and her hand came to rest at Siena's neck, Siena melted and chased after Allie's lips for more. This felt so right, and she needed more!
Biting her lip for a second, Siena leaned into the teasing touch along her jaw.
Allie whispering in she ear sent shivers down Siena's spine, butterflies erupting in her stomach at the thought of voicing what she wanted aloud.
"... Kiss me."

β A young woman should be free to follow her heart. β
β Either we escape tonight or we say goodbye forever. β
β Your life is still in danger. β
β You bewitched me from the very first moment we met. β
β I too have known heartache and betrayal. β
β My dear girl, donβt you know that Iβm in love with you? β
β You donβt know what it is to be without power. β
β Actually, for once, I think that there is some small value in what you say. β
β If I changed at all, it was because of you. β
β Sometimes, I think you couldnβt possibly be real. β
β I just canβt live without you. β
β Just because my dreams are different than yours does not mean that theyβre unimportant. β
β I cannot stop thinking of you. β
β I am yours; I have always been yours. β
β A man with charm is an entertaining thing. β
β Itβs alright to have anger, but you canβt let that be the ruling factor over your life. β
β You deserve everything your heart desires. β
β Night and day, I dream of you. β
β Dancing is a trust; it is a union. β
β Did you admire me for my impertinence? β
β It is you I cannot sacrifice. β
β I love crying over a good book, donβt you? β
β I love you. Most ardently. β
β There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart. β
β When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I donβt have an excellent library. β
β Caring deeply will always be the right thing. β
β I donβt need friends. I have my own company. β
β Evil to some is always good to others. β
β Have a little compassion on my nerves! You tear them to pieces! β
β No man on earth cares for me. β
β I forgive what you have done to me. β
β I do not find it easy to talk to people I donβt know. β
β Men of sense do not want silly wives. β
β I have crossed oceans of time to find you. β
β How I love being a woman. β
β You are a wish come true I never knew I was making. β
β Sometimes, you just have to let people love you. β
β If you want to be heard, you have to make some noise. β
β Iβm so sick of people saying that love is just all that a woman is meant for. β
β Youβre being emotional. Itβs understandable, but unnecessary. β
β I want things to go back to the way they used to be! β
β Wait, they didnβt teach you that in finishing school? β
β Whatever society may claim, they canβt control you. β
β Youβre not rid of me yet. β
β You have no interest in changing a world that suits you so well. β
β Iβve always known that I would marry you. Why should I feel ashamed of that? β
β I donβt want to leave you. β
β No one should be alone all the time. β
β Marriage is both a joy and a place where you will be dealt unbearable griefs. β
β I canβt risk losing anyone else I love. β
β You donβt believe in me. Iβve spent my whole life trying to get you to β¦ and you just donβt! β
β You are a befuddling, strange creature. Everything you are saying is ridiculous. β
β Have you been hiding from me? β
β If anything were to happen to you, I would never be able to live with myself. β
β Itβs pretty obvious now that for us to stay sane, we have to stay together. β
β The world is hard on ambitious girls. β
β Do you truly have feelings for me? β
β I donβt think thereβs any place for me in this world. β
β How do I look? Do I look alright? β
β I want a home. And a family. β
β An I talking too much? People are always telling me that I do, and it seems to cause no end of aggravation. β
β Oh, isnβt it a beautiful morning? β
β It would surely be much more rational if conversation instead of dancing were made the order of they day. β
β You donβt annoy me; you make me nervous. β
β You are an unexpectedly dark character. β
β I have been unpardonably vain and insufferably arrogant. β
β You have to watch your tongue. β
β Iβm so sorry; I donβt understand what you are saying. β
β I donβt understand why youβre being so kind to me. β
β Donβt be defeatist, dear. Itβs very middle class. β
β What is a weekend? β
β We should see more of each other. β
β I look like a prized calf trussed up for auction. β
β Your reputation precedes you. β
β Ever since I was a child, I felt like greatness was in store for me. β
β You donβt look as though youβre struggling. You look β¦ radiant. β
β I will love you until time has lost all meaning. β
β There are many versions of you, and you know that Iβm the only one who sees them all. β
β You aim to rile me. I like it. β
β Will you join me for dinner? β

Hearing her own words echoed back at her made Leanora smile.
"Well put, Your Highness." The lady-in-waiting paused taking in the view.
"I should see to my mistress, but I hope to take you up on your offer to look at the stars later tonight, perhaps after dinner?"

"It is a lovely place to live, as I'm sure is your island, the things that make these places beautiful is different, but in the end it's still beautiful." Leanora said smiling, it was not her place to tell the prince of her king's plan to negotiate a trade deal between the two kingdoms, but even Lea could see that this little island was going to be a profitable trade partner.
"What is your favorite thing about your kingdom, Your Highness?"
