I started reading ml fanfic again last weekend… so im back in this shit. sometimes when im binging fanfic in this fandom it feels a little bit like reading the exact same story 50 times in a row, for the first time each time. which, it turns out, i love a lot.

I really loved the concept of The Genie Moo Wu which switches peoples Chi alignment. I especially love the idea of Good!Chase and Evil!Omi interacting (which I know others would have loved to see too 🤣 )

So enjoy some some post Chi-switching shenanigans!

“Ouch ouch ouch ouch! Omi! I know you’re evil right now but can you please sit down!”

Chase laughed a little to himself before lightly patting the dragon’s back. “I’ve got him Dojo. Omi?” He called back, letting his voice be carried across the air, “I’ve got a challenge for you.”

“A CHALLENGE?!” The currently ‘evil’ little Monk said excitedly, bounding his way over all of his friends upon Dojo’s back to land in front of Chase who simply smiled warmly at him. “What is this Challenge Chase Young?! I will best it and I will best you!” He said, pointing a finger at the currently ‘good’ Heylin prince of Darkness.

“I’m certain you will little one. Here,” he said, holding his arm out at a ninety-degree angle from himself with his pointer finger extended. “I challenge you to balance yourself with your finger upon my own for the rest of the trip back to your temple.”

“Ha! This is nothing! I can do this with my eyes off while still practicing my tai chi!” Omi insisted, immediately jumping up and turning his body in the air to land with one finger on Chase’s own. He immediately began to kick and punch with his free hand to prove his point, his movements far too fast to be proper tai chi.

“Very impressive little monk!” Chase praised and, from anyone else it probably would have sounded sarcastic but coming from Chase it sounded genuinely sincere. The other Dragons looked on in various degrees of horror and annoyance as Omi continued his hyperactive movements, this time suspended only on Chase’s finger as they all flew through the air back towards the temple.

Christy Hui recently posted this background and invited artist to paint over it. I had a ton of fun!
