The hill scene in xs S1 finale where Jack tries to leave after refusing Omi's offer but pausing when Omi grabbed his jacket and looked at him sadly
I can't help but feel like, Jack was definitely not aware of it, but at a subconscious level, maybe he knew there may be something for him in that offer, something he wanted and needed that sparks hope but at that point wasn't enough to deter him from his lifelong goals. But he still wanted to salvage some of this, cause no one had ever looked at him like that before, like they wanted him there and were sad he wasn't staying, like they saw something worthwhile in him.
"But maybe sometime we're not fighting over Shen Gong Wu, we can all go for ice cream, my treat."

Xiaolin Showdown Cooking Headcanons
omi - surprisingly good at cooking most things! although he specializes in vegetarian chinese foods, an eagerness to learn and ‘master the art of the kitchen’ means he’s picked up many skills from the other monks.
kimiko - if it’s not omi making a meal, it’s probably kimiko. just as skilled as omi around food (and she’d kick your ass if you said it’s because she’s a girl), she definitely knows how to whip up something from many regions. learning is a necessity when you hail from a family where video games are just as important as anything else.
raimundo - the worst cook of the monks, hands down. despite setting fire to several things, however, he knows his way around a few south american dishes. his specialty is ceviche.
clay - god of the grill, master of meats, savant of the smoke. pure texan talent that puts esteemed smokehouses to shame. unfortunately, not great with things that aren’t meat. learned how to cook tofu just for omi, though.
dojo - definitely knows what he’s doing! maybe. probably. not too sure, though he’d never admit it. a much better food critic than chef. forgets most things he’s tried, including his friends.
jack - would also lie about being a good cook. but really, why would you have to when you have robots to do it for you?
wuya - there’s no need to know when you can materialize a wonderful(ly evil) meal at any time. (does a super powerful heylin witch even need to eat, anyway?)
chase - only knows how to make lao mang lone soup. made sure to gain loyalty of good chefs. occasionally finds cat hair in his food.
