Joe looks from Charlie to Rex, proudly sitting in the driver's seat of Charlie's Wrangler, paws at nine and two.

"Charlie, this is insane - look what he did to the pole!"

Charlie leans across to stick his head out of the driver's window and shrugs, clearly unconcerned about the yellow paint now decorating the cracks in the Wrangler's front bumper.

After a few moments of pondering how the hell he got here, Joe opens the door to the backseat and gets in.

This is a story that will encompass the first 4 entries of the Febuwhump 2022 challenge. 1 per chapter. Gratuitous Charlie whump because I wanted him to deal with the Grave Matter episode events. There's a bit of a plot to go with it but it doesn't go very deep.

The plot: A young woman is found stabbed to death but the sole witness won't come forward. It's up to Charlie and the team at Major Crimes to find the truth!

@aceofwhump Imagine Bruce going to challenge Alfred in the hospital about the info he got from Falcone, and being all upset he gets all worked up and ends up passing out because he's exhausted and getting sick. Poor Alfred stuck in his hospital bed can only watch as he goes down.

Ngl the scene in The Batman where Bruce shows up at the club to talk to Falcone about his father and he's soaking wet i thought he was going to pass out or something and it made me think of Bruce getting a cold or something, getting delirious maybe, and Falcone taking care of him in the club. Acting strangely paternal but still creepy and uncomfortable. It would be so messed up, especially after the reveal by Alfred but I'd love it.

Oh my gosh I loved when he showed up without the batsuit all sad and soggy standing awkwardly in the middle of the rain. It's was angsty and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the idea of him passing out or getting sick because of it. I'm not sure I'd really enjoy seeing Falcone in that role but that's definitely a very good scenario for anyone who enjoys a good creepy whumper/caretaker scenario! That's the perfect opportunity for it for sure! I personally would rather see Bruce go home and get taken care of by Alfred cause their father/son relationship makes me smile.
